I ran 7:60's at 178 mph with a 572 1,100 hp Reher Morrison. They should be in the high 6's if they have 1,500 hp.

I was there yesterday with my son. They were running a Ford Mazda 2.2l event. Not quite as many people and high performance car but it was very nice anyway. Very warm people happy to share their passion.

Hahaha, I'm Thai and agree that's really crazy but for those events with those power and very random racers and cars I have to says those things help a lot. Lol
And those people just wanted to clear and clean a little beads and rock at the tyres and warm their tyres and when you leave your car to burn their tyres alone they just thought it's not at the right position they want. Lol
I'll tell you the truth as a Thai that many people always says Thailand safety fifth and I have to say that even Chad himself still doesn't know or he doesn't want to speak about this Thai culture but do you guys know what the MOST important for Thai racers or the most safety thing for the Thai guys?? And if they do not have this things they probably do not dare to race today. Look at 1.53 at the passenger seat, it's Called "Puang-Ma-Lai" and it's a mixed of flowers to use to pay respect to their believe or pay respect for the spirit to help to protect them. Atleast they got those things and they would be more than ready to go with a flow. Lol

@@annon-ski7985 the worlds fastest diesel 1/4 mile: Scheid Diesel Dragster did 6.31 at 226 MPH. Hard to imagine these Thai trucks are within 0.7 sec of this insane dragster
NOTE - There seems to be a lot of individual differences in each truck. Some have a wing in the back and the turbo inlet is in different places. Super cool to have a serious sport where are you still have the opportunity to try different things to be faster
All of those trucks are still using a stock block and head but we still manage to get faster every 1or2 years can you believe that LOL, we still lack of technology and money here in Thailand, I hope Thailand 4 bangers diesel truck get popular all around the globe someday 🤣

I competed in the IFO drag event in Oregon in MAY! Peak rain season here. We were rained out for about half the day.. Surprisingly the drag races did get completed.
I gotta say, Thailand doesn't screw around at all, I see they are just as hardcore as the most hardcore American or Aussie when it comes to speed and power.
I'm in love with Izusu's now! I must buy one and build for next season since the season is over here in Finland

a lot of diesel guys don’t know isuzu designed the duramax engines that perform so well drag racing in the us
If they are running those times on that track... Just imagine the launches, the time, and possibly the carnage if they were to run on a real prepped surface! Incredible what they are able to achieve with with a tiny 4cyl diesel on basically a cement strip.

That last exhibition pass was 7.92 @ 171.4mph. Pretty good for that condition of track. I assume the tube chassis and big tire helps tremendously on that shit prep lol.

Unbelievable for such a small turbo. Love the diesel power. Obviously the vans are light that's why they get low numbers but amazing guys.
That 4 banger Isuzu is one helluva powerplant for sure....and you never see the rods or pistons fly through the hood!
I have one in Australia and they are great engines but they do snap cranks. An aftermarket crank and Pistons is the first step for reliable power. Having Said that there are diesel tuning companies here running 10s on the street Dmax that had over 300,000 kilometres on it before getting modified and the motors unopened.

Fixing to rebuild one of my Cummins engines and going twins on it. It’s a 4wd truck and over here in the States, my favorite thing to do is go hunt Prius’s down to smoke out. 😂🤣. These 3000cc diesel 4jj1 Isuzu with drag spec can hit more than 1200hp 3000nm tork...for standard in dmax just 150hp with 350nm only...
They need to go to Drag Week. But I think a prepped surface will start grenading driveline parts.
