Man how valuable is that kid. Whether offense or defense De La Cruz is a highlight waiting to happen. The Dodgers got hit early and often. A very entertaining game
Cruz gets the headlines but I think fellow rookie Matt McClain might be the better player.

he's definitely fun to watch, but for me, Matt McLain is the beast. that guy's a real baseball player. Reds could be dynamite next year is their starters are healthy.

agreed -- looking at the Dodgers lineup, it's pretty pedestrian after Betts and Freeman. good thing they can go out and buy more players to try and compete. They won't win anything though -- they aren't even in the Braves stratosphere -- (not a Braves fan btw).
And Betts! Beyond those two, it's spotty at best. JD is solid too I'd say...

The Reds offensively now are very exciting, they have a nice mix of young talent but lack pitching.
They may very well win the Central, and I hope they do, but they don't have the pitching to carry them very far in the playoffs.

Dodgers don't have a deep , dangerous batting order -- -they should have kept Turner -- he was an igniter. when you're relying on a 200 hitter to be your power guy, you're in trouble.

Lots of blunders for the Dodgers… Chris Taylor got greedy by stretching a base hit, while Almonte walked in a run. Bobby Miller also gave up 3 runs, but he was getting momentum after the first inning. Hope the Dodgers can win game 2 and hopefully game 3 for a series win!
