Evoladi was just straight filthy. The only run he gave up was because Nunez went for style points on a foul ball catch that led to putting runners in scoring position and then an error. He was throwing gas the entire stretch and even the pitch that Muncey took yard to win was a perfectly placed pitch that you can chalk up to insanely good batting.
I remember watching this game while working on a programming assignment in college. Definitely wasn't the best idea since I couldn't keep my eyes off the game. But it was worth it at the end ! Love the Dodgers, I think it might finally be our year!

DAMN!! I woke up, naw, my infant daughter woke us up around two thirtyish am eastern time for feeding & diaper change. Turned on TV thought the station was replaying the late news, oh hell no, the damn game was in the 14th. Didn't end until a quarter to 4 am ET. Instant Classic!!!
With a 3rd candidate in Alex cora!!huge mistake leaving a limping Nunez on the base pads,that double would have most likely gotten them 1 more run and it's 3-1 instead he held at 3rd and that cost them the gm imo!!
The longest game ever. I was watching all night till I was so drunk and passed out to bed at the 18th inning that I just literally missed the dodger home run.
Neither a fan of either. I do believe BoSox will win SERIES. But L.A. showed heart. MAD SQUABBLES! RESPECT TO THAT SOX RELIEVER He was throwing 98 miles an hour in his 6th inning of relief.
Eovaldis almost 100 pitch RELIEF appearance may be one of the best world series accomplishments of all time. This game was unreal and ended at about 330 EST lol i watched it all (sox fan). Kinsler threw it away....whoops. the dodgers ground that gane out and deserved to win it. But it only got to the 18th because of Eovaldi. Even though he got the loss it was just unreal.
3 things gave the game to the Dodgers. 1. Muncy was OUT on that 3-2 pitch. the bat clearly went passed home plate. 2. Nuñez catching the foul ball and diving into the seats (unnecessary). It allowed Muncy to reach 2nd base and that brings up #3 which is Kinsler. If you already caught the ball and there are two outs, why risk a bad throw if Puig was going to beat it anyway?....oh well
Question: 14:28 at the top of the 10th - if Kinsler had bulldozed the catcher trying to get to home base, would he have been penalized? It looks like the catcher was blocking the runner's line. THX
It was like a switch just turned off for both lineups. I guess you could say it was the pitching, not many walks in the game. The umpire was generous with outside calls so both teams were swinging at outside pitches. Usually you see a pitcher have a tough inning, walking too many guys or something, but this game everyone was sharp.
As a neutral viewer I would say advantage Dodgers going into game 4. Eovaldi(Boston’s best starter this postseason) won’t be available for games 4 and 5 and you’d have to think Muncy and Bellinger stay in the lineup regardless of who starts for Boston Saturday night.

Then the Sox should have won it again in the 13th, but Kinsler rushed his throw when he was off balance. Huge break. Dodgers finally win it in the 18th, but it seemed like Boston still played this game better by a bit. They just had more runners on base and hit better in extra innings. Dodgers need to hit better or else this series could be over in 5.

This is genuinely one of my favourite games in recent history. I wasn't there in-person, but I've watched and rewatched the full game.

Major props to Eovaldi he was beasting forsure. He's banged up and probably wont be pitching game 4 and 5 so Dodgers got to take advantage tonight.
The Red Sox have him to thank for saving the rest of the bullpen. The Dodgers could use a complete game for whoever starts game 4.
