This was one of the most seriously extreme ski videos i've ever seen and it was done for basically no budget. I'm still shaking my head and thinking about that old adage "there are old skiers, and there are bold skiers, but there are no old-bold skiers". So have your fun now and get it all on video and then hang it up while you are still alive!!

Except there should be snow now. I'm out of WI and its all gone here. We've had rain and warm weather constantly and I'm not making it out to CO until March. I got new skis this year and have only had a week or so on them! Very disappointed to say the least lol.

A few years ago I was fortunate enough to be skiing with Stein Eriksen and a senior Deer Valley instructor. Somewhat tentatively, the instructor asked Stein if there was any truth to the rumor that someone had done a flip in Corbet’s Couloir in Jackson Hole. Stein’s response was typically humble as he stated,”Well, if it was 1 PM on a Sunday afternoon, it was probably me." The father of aerials did a forward flip every Sunday the matter where he was at 1 PM.

The nice thing with skiing is that if a jump goes as planned you land on a slope and not on flat ground so the impact is softened.

With really big cliff drops a back seat landing will bounce you off your hips an back onto your feet, that front was a perfect example.

It's more intimidating the longer you stand at the top. You just have to go for it and make sure the bindings are tight. I learned that the hard way when I hit and it was rock hard.

Because the signs are actually accurate to the degree of difficulty. If it's a double diamond you better know what you're doing or your screwed. The percentage of upper intermediate to extreme terrain takes up the majority of the mountain. You won't find much beginner or lower intermediate.

Its hilarious when you hear a "yeah' right after someone eats it.
Didn't see anyone eating it... landing on your back like that is how these guys hit bigger cliff drops. They're just too big to try and land on your feet.
