Carter4240 i thought he was committing suicide
Just gonna say that but you did it Already holy fuck tho
Im the 1000 liker 👏👏
**person full slams into a 2 story drop**
crowd: "Whoooo!! Yeaah!!"
Person stepped up and commited, deserves cheering.
@@SwedeenXBL shh, let unexperienced skiers think that falls like these are lethal 😂😂
@@SwedeenXBL nj
@@neeeeeck9005 Nah, people that don't do/have never done extreme sports seem to lack the understanding that most of it is slamming and getting back up. Understanding that might bring them to actually try new shit and actually learn.
@@SwedeenXBL yup, I want to start learning jumps so bad now, I was always nervous about it, but seeing this, I think I'll survive on the the East Coast
3:30 idk if its the camera angle but the way he stopped that rotation is insane
Definitely, that open and wobble was massive. Maybe there was slight wind going up the crack, seen that a few times big sending chutes like this.
Oh yeah he put the brakes on mid flip for sure. All in the core.
Yeah I noticed that shit too. Think about how much fuckin speed he caught while doing those flips. It’s seems like it would be impossible to fuckin slow down that well.
Dude it’s Teton brown what do you expect
That bit caught my attention more than the flips
5:09 i have doubts about his sanity...
Watching that gave me hella anxiety
man didnt even try to land lmao knew he was gonna take it hard from the beginning
Made for a good photo tho
@@EpicShadowGAME looks like he landed right on his lower back too! hope the landing was soft
I would do that
Legend has it Teton Brown is still trying to land that double backflip
Holy fuck another stupid legend joke wow
FYI teton means nipple in french
Hands down the most iconic in-bounds run in the world.
this was some amateur kid stuff
Saw it this summer. Video fails to convey how gnarly this is.
@@melted_cheetah not even close lol was there last year and all these videos are complete bullshit
For a typical eastcoast transplant, yes.
@@soulofcinder4222 someone likes Squaw
5:09 Dude just base jumped without a parachute
What a dope event! It's good to see skiers and snowboarders rocking out together!
There was instant respect for everyone who literally just SENT IT first go. Especially the snowboarders.
And this is why snowboarding and skiing are the best sports around, just the community and feeling of freedom, makes me proud, now if you’ll excuse me, time to book some plane ticks to Jackson hole mountain resort for this season
i love how they still cheered for the people that fell, good sports
Damn i can't get my head around how can you land/fall with such force and don't get whiplash?
thanks guys for clarification
Där gubbsta
Also important to note that with the angle at which they’re hitting the ground, they’re absorbing a lot less force than if they were hitting a horizontal surface, as part of their energy is transferred into sending them down the mountain as opposed to straight into the ground
You should watch some rollerblading videos. Some top rollerbladers will jump down 2 stories and land cleanly
There is usually beer involved
Her commentary at the end was PERFECT!
I think I will stick to mountain biking
Alan Becker both

Send it.
Ya I love both
5:08 best trick
This video is the definition of 'send it' some smooth characters here
That slo-mo backflip gnar-gnar was straight gas!!!
i can not wait until next week for KINGS & QUEENS CORBET'S COULOIR
I got some spine tingles when Hans dropped in
That double back flip was absolutely mental
That was awesome !!! After 2hrs of watching I still have a goose bumps 😮
Crazy. Been skiing since 1972 and to see where the sport has progressed is amazing. With the newer equipment and better training it has allowed for mind blowing tricks being performed off this very difficult run. Like to see a competition where the skier has to use 1975 skis with modern bindings. Just a thought :-).
This vid doesn’t do it justice. I went out to Jackson hole over summer and we rode up to the top and I was thinking it was a decent drop but this thing is massive. Definitely a goal of mine to drop in some day
the amount of bails seen here is insane, kudos to these people knowing how to send it
I love everything about this video.
that Sander Hadley guy was in that "days of my youth" redbull movie as well
Been there once at the top but it was pointlessly crowded and icy and bumpy so during that time it definately wasn't worth "experiencing"... I tend to enjoy my rides and that's not what I'd call enjoyment :D
This gave me goosebumps 🔥
wow some of these moments gave me goosebumps
1:38 he sounds like ninja.
not
Best skiing video of all time?
5:09 Just send it bra
Girl the boys are going to get mental and the girls are going to push there boundaries first girl drops in normally boys sends double backflip
Every skier crashes, while every snowboarder lands perfectly nice and fine.
Free Life they aren't throwing doubles and corks are they🤷🏼♀️ still crazy
were the snowboarders throwing double backies and corks tho?
Shout out to Forrest Jilson, I went to school with that kid at Teton High School in Driggs,ID
6:33 Leonardo DiCaprio…does he ski😂 🎿? Seriously, balls of steel and love watching the pros!
Snowboarders had the cleanest landings of the main drop imho however skiers had the coolest "bonus footage" in the lower cliffs/terrain.
Why did the 2020 event suck so much. This was perfect.
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in the USA are so cool and the Roky Mountains i love the snow
So how exactly does no one break there knee caps omg like there goin all out to like damn that stuff you guys are doin is absolutely crazy
Guy: Jumps off two story ledge and fractures spine (may never walk again)
Crowd: Whoooo!! Yea ahh!!
So great! What a celebration of the season :D
In 1987 skiing on Pre 212 cm ....walkman in my jacket.....Guns and Roses Appetite for Destruction just came out....Shootin Corbet's....wish my knees would let me do it again....
Was hoping to see Travis.
try doing the couloirs in scotland
In other words, it doesn't matter how badly you ski this as long as you do a flip at the top. Got it.
It’s funny that this is the first place I ever skied before in my life.
Some of them really ate it _hard_ on the landing.
Love Todd Jones!!!
I swear there is magic on the day of this comp….no one breaks anything?!?!
Fantastic video
Radical!!
How about a word about Barry Corbet, the great skier for whom it is named?
So many videos about this one couloir? We have so many couloirs like this here in the Alps, every shape and size and steep like this or even steeper.
But the Alps are full of snobby Europeans like yourself...think I'll just take the day trip and hang out with these folks instead.
How do they not get injured falling on their backs like that? How soft could that snow be? how deep is it?
They say snowboarding is harder than skiing, but I'm guessing that initially. I love both but oof some of those falls ouchhhh
“definitely the gnarliest in bounds run”
*laughs in squaw valley palisades*
Only two ways to drop Corbett’s - from a standstill and then cut away before you smash in to a rock wall or skip the rock wall challenge by dropping at speed and getting 100+ feet in the air. Gnarly.
there both epic
Griffin Post going big!
3:30 Teton Brown is cool
I skied it once with my heart in my throat (32), was scared to death. Short swing all the way down. Would I do it now at 72, hell no. Still ski 5 days a week but not that run. Old bones break very easily.
Man those guys are crazy!!! (in a good way)
So sad Sander Hadley didn't land it on 3:47 that looked so damn great
I’m a queen of corbits I went down 8 times in one visit and I’m 8 years old I rock corbits
If I hit corbets can I add an extra t to match my name
Forget white powder downhill skiing, go brown-hill skiing.
Watch out for our new video

Realy awesome video, but how can you not show the winning runs?!
Theyre in there. Karl's run at 6:04, and Catie's run at 5:19.

It’s still open
uhhmazing
Free Corbets!
So who won?
Ok so Corbett’s is a double black but at big sky Montana they have easier runs that are triples (look it up on the internet)
some day
pushing the limits has anyone droped Corbet's Couloir on a snow skate
Headed out there on Wednesday. Is corbets still manicured like that, cause if it is, I want to do it so bad

That’s how you ski and snow board

note to self dont pull a double backflip here lol i dont think even one person landed it
I know
@@TheFloydsta In the 2020 installment Parkin Costain landed it, but he did have a prepared jump which Teton didn't.
Nothing like these amazing athletes, but dropped in several times in the early 80's. The sheer vertical rock walls towering on both sides of the first 50 yards are freakishly intimidating ... even for excellent skiers. Hard to understand until you're standing on the edge, making the decision. Just watching these videos brings back the adrenaline (and fear :-)). Great stuff ...
Yeah, its like standing in front of a Dragon ready for the battle. You have to experience it at-least once.
5:55 that is so gnarly
yes he just ripped through that section that and the full-send belly flop both made my heart fucking stop
Guy with the blue/orange jacket nailed it, but gotta love the nose butter.
that was the best for sure
Can you post the time stamp?
Luke, at about 6:03. Nose Butter at 4:15, but doesn't stick the landing. Oh, to be young and able to withstand the punishment!

Thanks
Candide Thovex is like "whats special about this cliff ?"
Yeah..Candide does bigger drops in his warm ups!!🤣🤣⛷
He will be like, they do this in the winter! Crazy!
Skier's bucket list item right here!!! One day, i'll make this drop.....
I'll come with ya bro
Crazyninja30 I wont😂
Did it last year
@@michaelpetraco7051 how was it?
Just dropping in is not particularly difficult. Simply map out your first few turns, and things should go smoothly. Below the narrow section it is like skiing a regular black.
I have done this twice (when I was much younger). The first time I let myself fall into it and landed on a ledge. After a long wait all my friends left except one because they didn’t think I was ever going to leave. It was so scary with all the cliffs and the steep slope, but I finally managed to do the first turn and after a lot of jump turns made it to the bottom. The second time I thought “I own Corbet’s” and fell starting right from the top. When you fall here you start accelerating, trying not to plant a pole in front of you. Quite an experience!
I love how not a single skier actually landed a flip. They all looked so beautiful in the air though
