    An apple in the morning has very similar waking effects as a cup of coffee. Lemon juice is great for liver health. Heat up a cup of water and add the juice from 1 lemon, daily. Read every single food label before you purchase. Get familiar with the scientific names of preservatives and chemicals that are added to food. Instead of buying deli meat, purchase roasted chicken, turkey, or ham and slice it yourself. Pre-sliced deli meat is loaded with preservatives. Great information here, thanks for sharing your journey!

    Hi. Thank you for posting your experience for others to learn from. I am an alcoholic. Quit 7 days ago. I drank heavily for 8 years. I assume I have fatty liver disease though I have no overt symptoms. I generally eat healthy, am at a healthy weight, and started exercising again after a five-year hiatus. Watching your videos reaffirms my determination to continue sobriety and a healthy lifestyle.
    Happy New Year, and thank you for unwittingly supporting my sobriety!

    I would recommend d getting an air fryer. Chicken in the air fryer is amazing! A dash of pepper and Italian seasoning is amazing! Also does an amazing brussels sprouts, toss in a little olive oil. If you can handle it also does amazing pork chops(especially with Italian seasoning) so juicy and tender I checked 3 times to make sure they were fully cooked!

    I found your channel and went through all your videos. My best wishes for your recovery. Thanks for all this info which I know I will need for my brother. He is 60, drinks only Vodka severely, all day, like having an IV. It’s been a year now his wife dropped him at moms house (87 YO to be dealing with this. She is under depression and Nervous meds now because of this scene all day). My sister got a March men act to be able to force him into detox, it takes 5 days each time he goes through this horrible withdrawal process and Delirium Tremens. He’s been in an intern rehab facility now for the third time, 3-months at a time and nothing works. He literally drinks the same day out. Dr’s have explained sort of what you are going through and he doesn’t listen. He has been told he has Cirrhosis but we don’t really know how bad, also has emphysema. Learning from you lots!… we know it’s coming. Thanks again

    12:12 - good point! garlic powder and onion powder, a must get! no sodium but huge in flavor. also, low sodium salt has some potassium added in, but they lowered that a lot over the years, to keep people from getting too much of it.

    The best food for everyone is red meat, eggs, butter & fish and water. Salt is necessary for proper functioning of digestive and nervous system. Sugar in any form, vegetables, fruits, grains, breads cause inflammation including inflammation of liver. You want eat proper human diet which animal protein and animal fat.

      Stay away from red meat if you have cirrhosis.

    • @user-zl3xs1cf8x
      @user-zl3xs1cf8x 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      People with cirrhosis have problems breaking down fatty meats or red meat, for a lack of bile production which is made by the liver and stored in the gallbladder. A carnivorous diet is not that great for a lot of folks with cirrhosis , giving the liver more than it can handle in a broken down function. Also taking tons of meds, either prescription or O.T.C, our liver has to filter about 80 % of it . I have to take my insulin, and high BP meds and beta blocker for portal hypertension. But the rest I will only take if absolutely necessary and for the shortest amount of time only. Trying not to cause even further stress to my liver...

    uh oh, i was afraid you were going to go there.. so my hubby and i had to stop all fruits as they are still sugar. the old myth is “natural” sugar is ok, but its not, and even worse for someone that has to really cut sugar like pre diabetics or full on. google or youtube it, its true. and stevia is the safest sugar subby, but. the others, anything that ends is “tol” is not good for the liver, in particular. i hope my chiming in helps. ok, back to the video. had to pause to just chime in.

    me again, so, eggs alone are way better and easier on the body than protein drinks and ensure is usually high in sugar. im sorry, i just found your channel and was catching up but i have done hours, days, weeks of research on so much of what you are touching on. many so called “nutritionists” are old school and not customizing the plan to the person. ok,, back to the video again. :-)

    • @fortressfarms82
      @fortressfarms82  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for your support. For sugars the major thing (for me) is the added sugars. In working with my nutritionist(s), I don't go over 24 grams of added sugar (usually less). Premier Protein drinks have low sugar and high protein. Thus far, I haven't had any issues with organic fruits. In many ways it's helped with my digestion. I also saw your comment about potatoes and Thank You for clarifying. I personally boil or bake my potatoes. Fried food are a big no no. 🙂

When I was diagnosed it was a year of hell trying to fight for life and how to maintain a good diet. My body had gone from 200 lbs to 115 lbs within 3 months or so.

      I have suffered from diabetes and burning and severe stabbing pain in all the nerve endings of my feet for 17 years now. It started in my big toes and then spread through both feet, now I get it in my shins, and fingers, knuckles. It is very painful like torture. I have type two, metabolic syndrome , insulin resistance. Fatty liver and now stage one compensated cirrhosis. Also some autoimmune. Because of diabetes and fatty liver and now cirrhosis has to be a extremely low carb, but sometimes red meat causes pain in liver area and stomach. I don't always care for chicken, now and again only. Sometimes I eat plant based, with eggs , red kidney beans, cottage cheese and home soups from scratch and that will be my diet for 5 months to a time and some fruit, mostly blueberries and apples... I'm 64, it is hard and depressing living with chronic illnesses, especially alone. Nice to have these sites to visit...
