our big white jeep was out of commission with a busted rear axle at the time. we did the rubicon in our orange jeep and well, i wouldn't feel to comfortable taking it through the sluice box :)
Nothing wrong with it IMO. Keep the vids coming! One of these days my XJ will grow up and turn into a JK. ;) I'm just waiting for Jeep to stuff a diesel in the JK though.
Thanks for chiming in on the internet to tell us what a badass you are. I tried watching some of your videos to see how it's done but of course, you don't have any.
I went to the little sluice along time ago and i watched a girl get into a rock crawler on the top of that rock and she was trying to back down but didnt know that it was in 1st gear and drove off the cliff and flew out of the ride because she wasnt wearing a seat belt. A helicopter came and picked her up but we didnt think that she would make. We hope and pray that she did make it.
i've been running arb's on a couple of my jeeps and haven't had any problems with them. they work and work well. unfortuantely, i don't have any experience with ox.
It won't throw you back in your seat when you step on it. But it works fine. You could always buy some performance modifications to help the motor out but it works for what it's made for! :D
great video, nice rig. -personaly, that trail looked difficult to the point of not being fun - but im sure yall had fun. Maybe beause im use to East coast wheelin in a TJ, i dont fully understand it
must be nice to have all that money.....coil-overs....dana 60's......i wish my TJ had some of those goodies........i guess i'll keep saving......keep up the sweet videos!!!!! i love em even though i have a TJ it's a JEEP thing........(:
It's basically an offroad vehicle that will never be taken offroad (kinda like 90 percent of the Hummers you see). It is usually dressed uponly to impress, hence a "mall crawler"
really enjoy watching your videos. To bad they filled in the sluice. Have to admit, running two tires in the sluice and two up on the slab isn't running the sluice. Great effort though! Cheers!!
shit. i see new videos and it looks like i could take my stock cherokee xj through there now.!. at least there is still trails, here in western part of NC they closed ALL of the trails (and made a few of them into gravel roads)
They brought in a bunch of rock to fill in between the good boulders. Made it so pretty much anyone can make it through. Years ago you wouldn't make it without carnage. :) Cheers
You know, I used to hate JKs (mostly because of the price tag and the common mall crawler owners). But seeing rigs like these is slowly turning that hatred into jealousy.
a h1 could NOT do this. sure there's a lot of money in this JK but it probably doesn't add up to the cost of restoring a broken military humvee or buying a civilian H1, freaken expensive. Solid axles to get over this shit, there's no way independent suspension could do this.
That’s some very good driving. As a fellow rock crawler I appreciate what it takes to do a really technical section like that.
for me the best project jk vid so far...brutal vid.....outstanding!!!! what a machine...love my lj but this jk is crazy....keep jeep'n!!!!!
It's kind of funny when i try to find jeep videos i just try to find the ones that look the coolest and of course wayalife is the best.
another good video! Very cool, those are some big rocks, i didn't realize just how big they were till i realized those were 42's on that rig!!
our big white jeep was out of commission with a busted rear axle at the time. we did the rubicon in our orange jeep and well, i wouldn't feel to comfortable taking it through the sluice box :)
you ain't kidding - the 42's are big but the rocks are bigger!!
Nothing wrong with it IMO. Keep the vids coming! One of these days my XJ will grow up and turn into a JK. ;) I'm just waiting for Jeep to stuff a diesel in the JK though.
Thats a wild Lookin JK... Sweet Setup.. and Congras on Makin it
Thanks for chiming in on the internet to tell us what a badass you are. I tried watching some of your videos to see how it's done but of course, you don't have any.
yup, that was the one. i blew up our dana 44 on the dusy a fews weeks before this trip.

what stuka87 said, prorock 60's front and rear with the evo double throwdown coilover system :)
i've been running arb's on a couple of my jeeps and haven't had any problems with them. they work and work well. unfortuantely, i don't have any experience with ox.

Maybe beause im use to East coast wheelin in a TJ, i dont fully understand it
Love watching your videos man, keep up the good work!
man, that looked pretty tight where he strapped up. Had me puckered up over on this end of the internets.
it's actually for a ram assist and evo makes it custom for their customers who install a ram.
Awesome video dude. Can't wait to try it out!
must be nice to have all that money.....coil-overs....dana 60's......i wish my TJ had some of those goodies........i guess i'll keep saving......keep up the sweet videos!!!!! i love em even though i have a TJ it's a JEEP thing........(:
@blackshadow27 i don't know who wouldn't want a v8 but, the v6 works just fine and it's what most of us use.
Great video Eddie!
He has DynaTrac ProRock 60's front and rear, and 42" MTR w/Kevlar tires. And of course the Offroad Evolution Double Throwdown Coil Over Suspension.
@wayalife thanks anyways for the response..... this is one of the best vid ived seen!!!!
GREAT VIDEO!!! WOOWW!
BEERS!
if you can believe it, still runnin the stock 3.8L motor
@1QUIKGST thanks - the rear bumper tire carrier is made by off road evolution
@natep246 yes, this is at the little sluice on the rubicon trail
sweet video as usual
@Mr04MustangCobra if you're new to wheeling, i think you will find that an auto is much easier to use on the trail.
@errenthovsep both are great but having driven nothing but 2-door jeeps for more than 10 years, having a 4-door has been super nice.
they are off road evolution custom sliders
Amazing!!!
@SuspectD3vice well, i won't lie, a HEMI would sure be nice to have but, with 5.38 gears, the 3.7L gets the job done.
LOL!! that's awesome
same rig and it still has the old 3.8
@wayalife How is the 4 door jk with all you've added to it still using the 3.7L v-6? What gears are you running?
Nice!! Just bought a 2011 and working on the upgrades, what size of lift and tires you running?
LOL!! thanks
@lionsonparole I really like the v6. in my opinion the v8 would be fun but overkill what do you need it for the v6 works great
JEEPS FTW :D
Im new to wheeling, and i was wondering. is puting the V8 completely necessary or is the stock V6 just as good?
Oh was that the axel that you replaced with the dana 60?
@96fitbikeco LOL!! thank you
Hey is this the same Evo built rig that the Orange one is just different paint. Does this have the V8 in it at this point.
he owns evo :)
what would you go for ox lockers or arb?
congrats you know how to pick the easy route
Dan Brennan a know pic
no. not yet anyway.
It's basically an offroad vehicle that will never be taken offroad (kinda like 90 percent of the Hummers you see). It is usually dressed uponly to impress, hence a "mall crawler"
3:27 that was pretty close to a flop haha
what bumper is on the white jeep?
lord amighty id be scared just to walk trough that mess, cant imagine driving
@cdegrey custom off road evolution sliders
really enjoy watching your videos. To bad they filled in the sluice. Have to admit, running two tires in the sluice and two up on the slab isn't running the sluice. Great effort though! Cheers!!
what.?. this has been filled in ?
shit. i see new videos and it looks like i could take my stock cherokee xj through there now.!.
at least there is still trails, here in western part of NC they closed ALL of the trails (and made a few of them into gravel roads)
They brought in a bunch of rock to fill in between the good boulders. Made it so pretty much anyone can make it through. Years ago you wouldn't make it without carnage. :) Cheers
what bumper is on the white cj?
What rear bumper do you have??
So turn off the sound on your computer.
nvm, got a good view... the front (at least) looks like a dynatrac prorock 60(?)
@natep246 it's an auto
@wayalife haha trust me, i would LOVE to put the V8 in. but its the fact that im 20 and dont have the moneyy to put it in yet:P
Has Moby done the sluice?
to open mel wades closest and find 10 pairs of camo shorts and 10 black off road evo shirts
You know, I used to hate JKs (mostly because of the price tag and the common mall crawler owners). But seeing rigs like these is slowly turning that hatred into jealousy.
Whats a mall crawler?
i dont like Jeeps, but that was pretty awesome
and you also took bypass trails
smittybilt
did you know, all Jeeps have a strap attached and ready...
@lionsonparole ummm, whatever dude.
@lionsonparole the new v6s got more power and torque than the 4.0 engines lay off the crack or learn and drive and wheel the jeep
Ha ha .. Coooooool !! :)
@SuspectD3vice 3.8 actually bro
3:26 I would have shit my pants
i had to mute the video holy shit, thats a shame its interesting to hear throttle etc and not just glam rock
cool jk
@Mr04MustangCobra get a stick!
1 dislike?... toyota driver?
