Did you not return your Fusion Energi ? I have the same, I love it, but they offered 30.5k and I bought it 4 yrs ago at 45k (CAD). It’s a good deal. Getting this Ford Escape as a replacement but keeping the cash Ford paid for my car in savings and bringing that Ford Escape to the same payment plans I had with the fusion. Which is nice also.

My mother has the Fusion Energi and my brother has the Cmax Energi. It's true, they both were offered as much as they paid for trade in but they're just so good 👍. So they kept them.

The lack of AWD is a deal killer.

100% agree. I have the same gripe with our Kona EV.
Toyota made a small 7hp induction motor for the rear of the Prius. Why can't we use this technology for Awd in this Escape and the Kona Electric?

I will admit that, yes. The interior volume is on the loud side. Single pane windows and less door sealing than expected.
