Yeh, now try and get it working with your DAW. What they don't say in the brochure is that the reality is all these USB midi keyboards (M-Audio, Arturia, Novation, Akai etc) come with nice bells & whistles but getting all the pads, sliders & knobs working with a DAW or DAW VSTs is trial and error and you can waste hours or days trying to get things right. The keys will always work fine as will the pitch & mod wheels and any built in arps will spit out midi oK. I reckon Novation probably support the most DAWs. Check compatibility with your DAW before you buy. Apart from that the spec of this M-A Oxy Pro Mini looks great and it is well priced. Love the 32 keys & they do chuck in some software bundled. Good luck.
I am trying to find out how the Oxygen Pro Mini integrates with MPC Beats or Pro Tools Intro. And same for Novation Launchkey Mini. Simply no specific information about that, apart from that the Novation and Arturia work best with Ableton LIVE, which does not work on my PC.
@@EdwardSmithMusic Doesn't the Minilab have less DAW controls? Deal breaker there for most folks looking at mini controllers like the Oxygen Pro, Launchkey Mini, M32, etc.
Does this have auto play capabilities? If not, what other mini midi keyboard should I look at with a preview or auto play button for each respective key? Thanks and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Been wondering how many Banks of faders are there? Seems with a forward and back Bank buttons, there should be at least 2 banks and possibly 4... otherwise just 1 button. Haven't been able to find this info anywhere. Thanks for the Video eval! It was useful and this looks like the right one for me (already have a couple of much nicer ones, but need something smal!)
How does this compare to the aurtaria mini lab and the akai .obviously the key on the aurtaria are gonna be better . But wanna know your thoughts on it
The M-Audio Oxygen Pro Mini has 32 keys, scales and chord mode. The other 2 have 25 keys, no scale mode. I prefer to have some sliders vs all knobs like the Akai and aurtaria
Another shallow unboxing and a listing of features from the back of the box... And as far as I can see, you offer no response to any of the questions in the comments. Not surprising because I guess you have no idea. :) Zs
Hey Edward, another great video - thank you for your effort! I am wondering right now whether I should get the M-Audio Oxygen Pro Mini or the Novation Launchkey 37? What do you think?
Can you confirm if its DAW functionality is equivalent to the bigger Oxygen Pro 25? (minus the aftertouch, obviously) Too bad none of these mini DAW controller keyboard makers bother with aftertouch. Arturia continues to be the only one making a mini controller with aftertouch, the Keystep series, but they are best used alongside a DAW controller like the Oxygen Pro Mini or Launchkey Mini since the Keysteps aren't DAW controllers. Almost no one is going to lug around a Keystep + Oxygen Pro Mini with a laptop. One controller too many for a portable setup.
If you are a propellerhead reason user, I suggest you NOT buy this product. This keyboard is not supported and not even mentioned on the list of controllers.

Hey Dude which is best 49 key Midi launchkey this day for Fl studio ?(under 350€)
I neeb you help on this :)
missed the fact that its has 32 keys, not 25 as mentioned
The note repeat feature made this controller a boss!!!
An in-built sequencer would be heaven
Another MIDI keyboard! I'm gonna love this video for sure!
I hope so 😂

I Love This keyboard Thank God For it
Wow so much information in just few minutes this is cool , i like it
Arturia minilab mk2 vs m audio oxygen pro mini which is best????
I would probably go with the Minilab MK2
@@EdwardSmithMusic why???? Arturia is released in 2016 and m audio oxygen pro mini in 2020
@@EdwardSmithMusic Doesn't the Minilab have less DAW controls? Deal breaker there for most folks looking at mini controllers like the Oxygen Pro, Launchkey Mini, M32, etc.
@@Jason75913 virtual all midi keyboards and controllers can be mapped to any reasonable DAW. what are you really asking for?
@@TheDigitalMD it literally has less DAW control buttons versus the competition, duh

Great review
Thanks!

8 banks as far as i know. So you have 32 faders and knobs (pan).
another nice video💕💕watching from philippines
Thank you so much for watching 🙏🏻
Expect it won,t work directly with iPad Pro due to no power off USB-C from iPad Pro (or iPhone). What would would be power work around?
There is a plug-in that comes with it. Key blind? Or do you have to buy it alone?
That's Nice
Akai mpk 3 mini... is also a bst option
is this good for playing live sets? are 4 faders and 4 knobs enough?
i went with the alesis v25..real size keys
Yeah!! That's a good choice!!
Can you please make a video of this controller to a Model D Behringer
Does it work with IPad Pro?
it is quite unlikely that it would not, just don't expect its DAW mode to work
Can u use it without software?
Nope.
Nice video 👌🏾
Can you do semitone transpose on this?
Nope 😪
@@EdwardSmithMusic damn, it's still a nice Mini controller. I will have to get Necktar LX 25+
yes hold SHIFT and pres + o - transpose buttons. Pres the tow at the same time and you go back to cero.
what software does it include?
How does this compare to the aurtaria mini lab and the akai .obviously the key on the aurtaria are gonna be better . But wanna know your thoughts on it
It's slightly bigger (more keys) and the keys are defs better than the Akai. The Arturia is great, it's just a little dated.

What about keyboards for computeer?
I only focus on recording gear on this channel. Not computer stuff.
@@EdwardSmithMusic why Not
still i will make this channel do keyboard yay

Yes 100%
@@EdwardSmithMusic wow, sorry did you try it out?
Just need an adapter to transfer USB A to USB C

the Oxygen Pro Mini 32 have aftertouch?
No
So, not small MIDI cable included... that adds up extra cost if you have to buy this small version.....

Thanks man!!

Looks alright but never understood the appeal of the F to C layout.
Same here, listen up midi makers full C octaves, I agree 👍
only downside is that you can not use this with an ipad or garage band :(
Aw I use GarageBand also and want a midi controller I can connect directly to my iPhone xr.
Get the axiom, much nicer (semi weighted keys)
That was great, but it would have been better if you played something at the end🙂
I will next time!!
