Lucy, Lighter, Koleda, and Astra Yao all look fantastic for EVelyn. Especially Evelyn missing Atk% in her kit, something Lucy and Astra love giving out
I find this funny because I only pulled Lighter because for the first time in my life I thought that Hoyo's male character looked decent design-wise. Seeing that he will have actual use on my account and this fast couldn't make me happier that I did this little pull for him because Eve is 100% pull for me. Girl can do no damage and I'm still getting her just because I love her look.
That was all part of hoyo's plan, they showed Evelyn right before lighter banner ends so that people who wanted to skip him for miyabi might roll on him for Evelyn and if they still want miyabi they'll have to spend money.
@עיליגורי-ל7ת Nah, not really in my case, I never wanted Miyabi in the first place and I like Lighter, but never had any team for him. So if I'd pull him without knowing that I can actually form a team for him, he'd be just sitting on my account and collecting dust
@@heyocean489 yeah in your case it's good that they showed Evelyn early. in my case I'm still debating if I should roll for lighter, I have enough for him right now but I want both Astra and Evelyn and I'm still sitting on 50/50 so this early marketing is just giving me anxiety. still clever marketing move from hoyo to squeeze every last bit of money the players have.
@עיליגורי-ל7ת It's a sad position to be in your shoes, but ig if you have to choose two out of three between Lighter/Astra/Evelyn, skipping Lighter would be the "most meta" choice for now
I feel like she could work well with Koleda since Koleda also has a passive that buffs Chain Attacks. Although, I can't remember if she has to stun the enemy first. Either way, Evelyn seems really cool and complex. The ult giving her a new look and a permanent buff is a neat idea, as well.
Stunners usually excel at dealing damage in stun windows and Koleda is a very fast stunner so even if her passive required the enemy to get stunned, it wont matter that much.
I was holding on, but ended up pulling Lighter, reasoning was cause i actually enjoyed his playstyle, and as a support unit he probably won't be power crept in his niche (ice/fire stunner/buffer). I had 250 tapes saved up for Miyabi, went to soft pity twice :( Glad to see he will already be proving his worth come 1.5, just have to luck out on Miyabi tomorrow XD
she wants over 80 total crit rate to activate her extra 25% damage on ult and chain attack The core passive is there to get you to that buff requirement
Yeah so I just saw Evelyn’s animations and man she looks freaking sick. Basically Yelan from Genshin Impact but doesn’t use a bow. Really love that her Ult is basically what we in the FGC call an “Install”. I picked up Lighter day 1 without having a main fire DPS bc he’s legit my favorite character in the game but I’m so glad they gave him someone that can pair up with and abuse his supportive power for Fire teams. I also think it’s sick that Koleda get some love too as the additional ability will get plenty use. I’ve since dropped Koleda for Lighter tho. Current plan: pull Miyabi + engine. skip Yao. Pull Evelyn (probably skip her engine as I agree the, the new free one should be plenty good) My team: Evelyn, Lighter, Lucy
Obviously Lighter will be better than Koleda for Evelyn because he is better, BUT I think it is neat that Evelyn has a focus on Chain Attacks and Koleda's only Team Support is 70% extra Chain Attack damage. I hope that this + Evelyn's native Chain increase isnt *too much* and sees diminishing returns. Obviously she will prefer to have a support to help her stats and want as many decibels as possible to use her Ult multiple times, BUT the memer in me wants to try Lighter/Koleda/Evelyn anyway and just give enemies a permastunned bad day.

I still don't have S11 or a fire team, so I'm already planning on making an Evelyn, Lighter, Lucy team. Probably gonna skip Astra, honestly. Despite being another Ether character, she just doesn't interest me. Not into idols, and her gameplay looked similar to Rina. Seems like she'd be a mostly off field character. I'm sure she'll probably be very good, though.

Sadly her dmg with her entire BEST team IS WAY less than miyabi, thats doesnt mean she IS bad, IS just attack agents Will never be better than an anomaly Char just for the fórmula of dmg that anomaly CHARS deal dmg which IS so sad ngl
Koleda is selectable after 300 standard pulls and second best stunner for Evelyn (at this time) but you could just use any stunner if you wanted (just isn’t as good)
First limited on field pyto attk agent. She'll definitely have more power budget than a standard. That said play what you like. If it clears all the content even better. Ill be searching because I don't have Soldier 11 so it'll give me that option. She is lower priority than Astra though. Sustain units are a premium

As already mentioned Koleda will be great. Lighter is no doubt better than Koleda as he provides much more overall to her damage than just her Chain Attack but the fact that Koleda buffs one of Evelyn’s main gimmicks easily makes her the second best pick after Lighter.
So you need to get MIYABI + W-ENGINE = OP BUSTED , then ASTRA YAO + W-Engine signature that will be the SUPORT META for 1 year and then pull for Evelyn ??? OFC I will skip her !!! I have BURNICE + JANE DOE+ CAESAR vs FIRE weakness enemies. Miyabi+Yanagi+ Asta will destroy anything that is not resistant to ICE. EVERYONE will play MIYABI to death in every content unless it has ICE resistance.
@@GothamThotSlayer yes she can Ideally you’d want lighter but koleda works well with her aswell because of her buffs to chain attacks. And if you have neither Caesar can work you just won’t stun as fast. If you’re close to getting your 5 star selector from the standard banner you can use it to get koleda

You do have to applied stun for her additional abilty to trigger extra damage.

Why would you want 80+ crit rate if her core ability gives 24 crit rate

Would Qingyi be competitive for a stunner slot vs Koleda? Especially since Evelyn has a focus on burst dmg?

Does Caesar's shield still protect against more than the shield value? I thought they changed that before her release.
Yeah it does, it has infinite HP against any attack that would one shot it, and none of the extra damage passes over onto your characters.

She competes with base Miyabi without her sig weapon. But if you have sig, she's cooked

Just use Koleda. We should be close to the 300 standard pulls once she’s out so can use the selector for her
