This man is a rhetorical genius.
I remember being a junior in college sitting in my living room with my roommates and a cigar and being unable to stop crying the further and further he got into this speech. I was so proud to be an American. 8 years later, I still get that same feeling when I watch it. I doubt I will ever see another president like him. God Bless this man

to be very technical, rhetoric also goes behind the actual words. its the delivery of the words that really catches the audiences attention. for instance, at the end of the speech he raised his voice to prove urgency and trust from the audience.
if he written the speech or not (which i am sure he did.. uh hello his reputation is on the line and who the hell wouldn't want to write their victory speech) the words are unbelievably poetic and his delivery was beautifully executed.
