Obama 2012: Are you in? my.barackobama.... Michelle Obama co-hosts the view with Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, and Sherri Shepherd.
Malia sounds like the wisest little kid! You can tell a lot about parents from their kids, especially when the children are little. A girl that humorous and down-to-earth is a good sign for any family.
Excellent. Thank you for posting, b/c i don't watch the View. Michelle is a fabulous woman of class, poise, intelligence, and warmth. I'm excited to share her as a role model with my students.
Michelle was protecting her identity not looking for a new one. She was great on THE VIEW and I knew that she would be. I am very proud of how well she has held her head up despite the negativity that has been thrown at her. People should learn to respect this CLASSY LADY and not choose to hate on her.
Michelle is terrific. She's warm and witty, smart and stylish, loves her husband, her kids and her country--just the kind of person you'd want as First Lady to reflect the values of America! I hope people get to see lots more of her so these false charges against her will dry up and be swept away by the truth.
The statements made are stronger within the topic of diversity. I believe that this country is not yet prepared for the equal state of political compition. This show was incredible because it brings reality into the softer side of of being a mother, wife, and a first lady. Good Luck with all!
Way to go Michelle! You and Barack make me proud and excited to be an American again. Thank you for your service to this country and to this world, which needs you right now. (Mormons for Obama '08!)
I love Michelles style, grace, attitude, honesty, and intelligence! She's anointed and blessed. I love that she demonstrates the beauty of being a wife and a mother. She has IT together. I feel that she really compliments her husband, Barack Obama. The View really did it great this time too(the other time was with Barack). Thanks OBAMA Family. God Bless!
I never watch The View (EH rubs me the wrong way) and I'm pretty busy caring for our twin boys. BUT because Michelle was on this show, I took the chance and time to watch it. AND I am so glad I did! Michelle is such an amazing woman: a loving mother, compassionate, honest, classy, smart, just to name a few. Watching her on this show reminded me of that one saying "Behind every great man is a great woman" Thank you so much for sharing this video. GOOO Beavers (yea, I'm from Oregon) Obama08!
This is the first time that I have heard Michelle Obama speak at length on a variety of issues and I must say that I am impressed. This lady is classy.
I'm from the suburbs of Chicago, but I DO know that the south side is...well...not exactly the ideal place to live. There's a lot of crime and poverty, and I think it's great that Michelle Obama has shown the world that you can come from the ghetto, and with hard work and dedication...you may become the next first lady of the United States of America.
I'm totally voting for Obama and I truly believe he's going to win. I'm only in my early 20s and I never thought there would be a black president in my lifetime. This is a very exciting time in America. I think Obama will do great things for our country.
This is a first lady I will be proud to have represent our nation. Michelle is dynamite! If and when I have a daughter, this is someone I hope is around in the White House to serve as a shining example of femininity. Michelle Obama proves you can be a woman, have an intellect, achieve power, be a loving mother and wife and still exist to define yourself as an individual. Love live the Obamas; our next First Family.
She is a very likeable person & doesn't seem too pretentious... Seems like a very normal mama! Her hubby has my vote and she'll make a great first lady!
I saw Michelle's speach a few times before and watch "this". She always impresses me with her high level of self-awareness, wit, listening well to what others in conversation ask her. To be honest, I haven't seen a woman or a person for a while who has such a wisdom and wit. I do believe she has lots of qualities required for the US First Lady!! I learn many things from her.
I hate hearing people say she is a very strong BLACK woman. She's a very strong woman, end of story. I think she is a beautiful and strong woman and would make a great first lady.
I would love to see the rest of this interview. I think its great and gives the people a chance to really get to know Michelle in a different setting..
It is so refreshing to see that Whoopi Goldberg has been the only person to make sure Mrs. Obama quote was heard correctly by America. She has been misquoted so often.
I love Whoopie. I really like what she says around 8:00. She says what's on her mind and doesn't worry about upsetting anyone, and she also doesn't get upset when people don't understand her perspective at first.
Remember, even though he might be inexperienced, he has a LOT of potential, which means he can learn fast and do a lot more than we may even think. He's young and he can even see what the issues are with the later generations, his generations, and the upcoming generations. I have faith in Obama, he's getting my vote.
I REALLY enjoyed this! Michelle is amazing! she has a great sense of humor and she's so much like an actual mom and not a politician! i can't wait for her to be first lady!
What a truly beautiful, intelligent, kind, woman! So genuine, classy, and decent. I hope the weirdos who talk trash about her see this and realize they are out of their league!
Alot of people were saying whoopi was too much but, she was the only one hitting on the topics and not beating around the bush!!!! I love the comment she made about how michelle is helping to change the image of dark-skinned black women...and she's right.
Very good for Michelle. She has come across in other videos and speeches as hard. This video needs to spread around all over. She's very human and should be admired for who she is.
It is so true that BW are not well represented on TV,but then this will change things. And the amount of negative views to the positive is 80% negative and 20%positive.Forget Hollywood,I mean in profession's we always see the YBW that are not the norm in the BC.I think it is so important to see a Black woman that is so very elegant and intelligent. Princeton...See college is about something.
I had never really followed or saw an interview of Barack or Michelle but I can truly say that she is a very inteligent and classy lady ! Who would of thought, approachable as well !
It's ridiculous how some people think that Michelle Obama needs to "soften her reputation". Why should she? The White House needs a strong, opinionated First Lady who isn't afraid to stand beside her husband and do what needs to be done to fix the mess that Bush has made of this country. She is smart and strong and will do more than just sit meekly by while following her husband like a lapdog. Who wants a quiet, shy First Lady? We need Barack and Michelle Obama!
As a young educated black woman fighting to further my education in graduate school at this very minute, I appreciate Michelle Obama so much. I am so happy to see a woman of color like this in the spotlight. What a role model for my nieces!
Michelle seems like such a real, honest, and intelligent woman. It takes true character to step outside yourself to see the potential our country could have if Barack is elected. I hope Barack will be our next President.
Aren't words wonderful??!!Words really are a window to a person's inner room--especially when the words are accompanied by telling ,meaningful and relevant guestures.Mrs Obama is a skillful artist of intelligent, serious words--the very instruments to form reality-now and in future.Thanks,Mrs.O.
i love michelle! she's very cool, calm, and beautiful, very smart, sophicated and she also has a good sense of humor. I think that she and barack will do lots of good in this country. I can't wait to see them in 09!
Isn't Michelle one half of the most dynamic political couples this nation can remember? Jackie Kennedy is probably looking down and saying: "The Camelot Magic is back and she is so beautiful in that dress!"
She is going to be a wonderful First Lady. She's funny, articulate and has a great deal of class. I'm looking forward to the new look of the "White House"
Michelle Obama did wonderfully here...very warm and personable...beautiful woman inside and out. She will make an outstanding first lady. We're really proud of you.
I had never followed or seen an interview of Michelle Obama but I can truly say I'm impressed. She is an inteligent and classy lady and who would of thought approachable as well.
Michelle Obama is a great role model...not just for Black women but for all women!!! She is strong, well spoken, and supportive!! She has proven herself to be a class act while looking fab doing so!!! Obama '08
The way to have fewer abortions is to allow access to safe procedures and birth control. 50% of abortions come from a very small number of women. All data show that having access to birth control and safe procedures reduces abortions. Period. In nations where abortion is not only legal but also easily accessible (or even free of charge under national health insurance), rates of abortion are among the world's *LOWEST*. Guttmacher Report on Public Policy, Feb 2001, Vol 4, No 1
I think Michelle will make a far more CLASSY first lady than Jackie Kennedy - I think she will have a lot more to talk about too, besides just things like "the decor of the White House" -- GO MICHELLE !!!
She isn't just a strong, solid woman, she is a feminine one. Hillary's lack of feminine scares many of us off. When a lady acts too masculine, we start to wonder what natural qualities are being repressed, and are thus inaccessible. If it wasn't so ridiculous and incompatible, I'd say Michelle for VP.
You better believe that each one of the candidates or candidates' wives came in with a list on that show. I don't know why you think that is strange or isolated to this case only. It would have not been fair if Hasselback jumped on Michelle's case about some hot topic issues, just like it would have not been fair if Behar jumped on Cindy McCain about John McCain issues. I think all of the ladies showed a lot of poise in interviewing those two ladies.
Alan Fram of the AP just wrote on Yahoo: that Michelle took flak in February when she said she was proud of her country "for the first time in my adult life." We are in July and the Media are still mis-quoting her speech! What gives!?!
Obama is an academic and a rational, systematic thinker. He is a symbol of America as a positive force in the world (like the America that rebuild Europe after WWII). I live in Australia (probably the US' closest ally since WWII) and even here there is such intense anti-american sentiment. People have forgotten the positive things the US has done for the world. Obama has the potential to make the world look up to America again. The world must be reminded America is not necessarily "Bush".
She is a strong, articulate, and well educated woman. I think it is ridiculous that her previous comment keeps being taken out of context and used so flimsily against her. Enough is enough. Let her talk about things worth talking about.
OK, I will admit that I was a hardcore Hillary supporter and I was disappointed when Obama won the nomination but lately I have been paying close attention and I can see Obama as President more and more. This interview with his wife makes me even more comfortable with Obama.
Malia sounds like the wisest little kid! You can tell a lot about parents from their kids, especially when the children are little. A girl that humorous and down-to-earth is a good sign for any family.
She seems like a really exceptional lady.
I've been doing the fist bump ever since I was born!
When I came out of my mom's belly, I gave the doctor a fist bump.
Excellent. Thank you for posting, b/c i don't watch the View. Michelle is a fabulous woman of class, poise, intelligence, and warmth. I'm excited to share her as a role model with my students.
(Wow, I never realized she was so tall.) Classy, beautiful, and very intelligent ... Michelle will make a great First Lady.
What a class act. After all the dirty attacks, she still soars above the fray. Go Michelle!
Did you notice that Elisabeth didn't say shit the whole time?? LOL
Michelle was protecting her identity not looking for a new one. She was great on THE VIEW and I knew that she would be. I am very proud of how well she has held her head up despite the negativity that has been thrown at her. People should learn to respect this CLASSY LADY and not choose to hate on her.
Michelle Obama is amazing.
The rapturous response she received from the audience says "You GO girl!"
Michelle is terrific. She's warm and witty, smart and stylish, loves her husband, her kids and her country--just the kind of person you'd want as First Lady to reflect the values of America! I hope people get to see lots more of her so these false charges against her will dry up and be swept away by the truth.
A highly accomplished woman in her own right who is also a lady.
What a fantastic, intelligent and strong woman!
The statements made are stronger within the topic of diversity. I believe that this country is not yet prepared for the equal state of political compition. This show was incredible because it brings reality into the softer side of of being a mother, wife, and a first lady. Good Luck with all!
Michelle is style, class, grace, and intelligence personified. You rock Michelle!
Great woman. I hope people continue to see her great qualities.
Michele Obama seems like a very smart, caring, personable woman. She is a good role model and I think she would make a wonderful first lady.
Way to go Michelle! You and Barack make me proud and excited to be an American again. Thank you for your service to this country and to this world, which needs you right now.
(Mormons for Obama '08!)
A very genuine person. Highly intelligent.
Admirably smart and elegant. She is going to be a super great First Lady.
God Bless!
Beautiful, strong, intelligent young lady. I would be honored to have her as a first lady.
I never watch The View (EH rubs me the wrong way) and I'm pretty busy caring for our twin boys. BUT because Michelle was on this show, I took the chance and time to watch it. AND I am so glad I did! Obama08!
I love her, she is very grounded and incredibly articulate, she makes it very easy to love her with her logical and kindness.
This is the first time that I have heard Michelle Obama speak at length on a variety of issues and I must say that I am impressed. This lady is classy.

Dayum. She WORKED that dress. Looks and brains.

Compassionate, intelligent, a great mother, and beautiful. Michelle's going to make a terrific First Lady.
She is a very likeable person & doesn't seem too pretentious... Seems like a very normal mama! Her hubby has my vote and she'll make a great first lady!

A great look at Michelle. Warm, funny, intelligent and real. She'll make a great First Lady.
Love the way she dresses, too!
I hate hearing people say she is a very strong BLACK woman. She's a very strong woman, end of story. I think she is a beautiful and strong woman and would make a great first lady.

It is so refreshing to see that Whoopi Goldberg has been the only person to make sure Mrs. Obama quote was heard correctly by America. She has been misquoted so often.
Way to go, Michelle Obama. Showing the world what a Phenomenal Woman really is.
I love Whoopie. I really like what she says around 8:00. She says what's on her mind and doesn't worry about upsetting anyone, and she also doesn't get upset when people don't understand her perspective at first.
As a black woman...I totally understand Whoopi's points!

Michelle Obama brings a whole new perspective to the American scene. Loved this interview.
I am white and 50 and male and this is the first time for me too! U go girl!
Michelle's candidness - to the point of transparency - is absolutely refreshing!
Go obama!
Classy woman. Commending Laura and treating Elizabeth like a person, pure class.
She is so classy and beautiful!!
Michelle has both brains AND beauty. I really love her.
Very good for Michelle. She has come across in other videos and speeches as hard. This video needs to spread around all over. She's very human and should be admired for who she is.

I can't stand Elizabeth Hasselbeck.
Thank you for posting this video here..its much better than the recaps on The View website..good job
She's a wonderful woman. I loved the interview
Alan Fram of the AP just wrote on Yahoo: that Michelle took flak in February when she said she was proud of her country "for the first time in my adult life." We are in July and the Media are still mis-quoting her speech! What gives!?!
In the beginning it look's like barbra was draging her out there... lol

Good point.. In Trinidad, we call it 'The Bounce''. We's say ''Give me a bounce'' instead of asking for a handshake.
Love Michelle! She's my role model.
OK, I will admit that I was a hardcore Hillary supporter and I was disappointed when Obama won the nomination but lately I have been paying close attention and I can see Obama as President more and more. This interview with his wife makes me even more comfortable with Obama.
I had this marked on my calendar to watch. Thank you for posting it!
Michelle was great on The View!! Love her.
If Obama wins her and Jackie Kennedy will be in competition for the best looking 1st lady in history. She's gorgeous *drools*.
