- A look at the Adult Colouring Goodies I've bought over the last couple of months, Not a huge amount of books, and nothing too new, but books I've had my eye on for a while.
I've tried to link the Japanese and Korean books where I can, I think I must have got the "Girls from all over the world" book from Book depository, as it wasn't on Amazon Jp when I've just looked. I've added its Etsy link, but sadly this is much more than I paid.

Well, I try!😉 Too much temptation out there! The Supervision are cheapest from Ali Express, they seem to have vanished again from Uk Amazon, so I'm glad I got them when I saw them. I think they were cheaper in the US though, so you might be lucky, 🤞 Ive been too chicken to play with the Pitt pens yet, the colours are very strong, so I think it will be easy to put too much on, might use the on a palette at first as I get used to them. I struggled with the Tooli-Art paint pens, they seem to cease up quicker than other. They also used to be £9.99 a pack and then they jumped on the Adult Colouring train and gave sets to a few colourists for review and the prices jumped to £30 a set! It's all about the marketing! Enjoy your new goodies 😊
Yes I agree, I much prefer the Arrtx brush style ones now, I at least feel I'm getting my money out of them, and when they stop working its because I've run them out. some of mine in that box I've hardly used, and yet, they are useless really, I just cant bring myself to throw them out. Thank you for such an exciting review of all of your new books and supplies! There's a few titles I've added to my list. It's been a long time since I've found new books that I'm actually interested in. I've collected enough to where I've brought myself to a sort of "stand still." Just when you think you've seen it all, something new pops up! With as much money as you've spent on this particular haul, I REALLY appreciate your effort to show us everything. Sometimes it's nice to live vicariously through someone else! Haha
I've been eyeing Petra's book for as long as its been out. It's 20 dollars to ship to the US so I've been a little held back. I suppose it's no more than buying one of Klara's beautiful books! Is it meant to do watercolor in as well? I know the quality is supposed to be fantastic. I'm curious, is the shipping price similar to the UK? I imagine it would be slightly less due to the distance.
Hiya, Annie, ❤️ I'm so pleased you've enjoyed seeing it all, x I love watching a haul, although it is tempting, x I must admit, I have tended to buy this sort of book from Book Depository before, so it was painful to have to buy it via Etsy, the postage is still expensive to us sadly. It doubled the price of the book, but I knew this book wasn't going to be easy to get hold off, so as a one of I got it. I certainly won't be doing it every month. Will I be brave enough to colour in it now, it's so nice, it will take me a while I think!😂😉💗
@@wendyscolouring Oh man, if the shipping was double what the book was costing... I guess I should count my lucky stars over here! I believe Petra's book is 30 plus 20 dollars shipping. I suppose it's no more than one of Klara's books. I always tell myself, "I'm paying for all the hundreds of hours these artists poured into their art."
It seems that Petra's book is always at the top of everyone's list of "books I'm too nervous to color in." There's so much pressure not to let it go to waste! I finally got over my Floribunda fear and now I'm kicking myself for not digging into it sooner!
@@anniemonroe9285 Klaras books are so lovely, I'll always get them if I can, postage is a bit better for her books here in the Uk, its not cheap, but not as bad as Etsy. Aaah I've not got my hands on a Floribunda, although I do fear I would only look at it anyway, well done you!👍

How do you order from amazon Japan? Is it expensive? Any tips appreciated
It's actually really easy on Amazon Japan, I find Amazon France more difficult. You can change the language to English, (Click the globe symbol) and then it works the same as any other Amazon. You will need a new account for Amazon Japan, ( You can't use your normal Amazon details) but once you've set that up, it's the same. When you've added items into you basket, and click checkout, it will take you to a screen where you can see all the costs involved, postage/customs fees, and all that. so you have an idea of the overall cost. ( I can't remember whether it shows you only in Yen, so I normally have a current converter open so I have a better understand of the price.) You can still back out at that stage if you think it's too much, but it's normal been ok. For the distance its travelling I think its good value, it makes more sense to order a few things, as you are paying the shipping. I do a few orders a year, and I've not had an issue yet. Obviously sending things back will be much harder, I've never tried, but I'm guessing that would be the problem. Searching for things can be a bit hit and miss, but generally I've always managed to find the things I wanted. I normally try to always link my amazon JP stuff, so hopefully that will help, x 👍💗
I have the newer version of Tooli Art, skin and earth set. I have had them for about 9 months and mine stop working all the time, most I haven't even used yet. I have had to change out the nibs several times. I will try soaking the nibs. I was going to order the pastel set but due to the ones I have not working well I probably won't bother getting them. I wish Posca would come out with desaturated color sets like Tooli Art has. Do you have another brand you recommend with more muted tones that work well? Thanks for sharing your haul!
Aaah, oh nooo, Oh well, I can't say I'm too surprised, Thankfully I have all those Lightwish pens now, so I didn't really need these ones, its such a shame, as when they work they are good, but the stopping and starting has drove me nuts in my old Tooli's I tend to use the Arrtx sets or the newer lightwish acrylic pens now, they are the brush kind that don't need any shaking to start. I don't think they last quite as long in terms of ink, but they just work, no messing about, or drying out. You just need to store them sideways to keep the ink flow to the nibs. There is a recent video on the lightwish ones, and I've been using the Arrtx ones all year so would recommend either really, x Arrtx do a pastel set, its the light colour box, x 👍❤️

How do you choose coloring books from amazon ?
Hi Triinu, How do I choose the ones I want to buy do you mean? I suppose I try to look for flips or photos of the books, sometime I will look for them on other book sellers to see if I can find better images of what the book is like. The odd time I will blind buy, if it's something that's really tempted me, but generally I like to try to search for images, to give me an idea of what's inside. I do limit how many Amazon printed books I buy, there is only so much of that paper I can put up with. I'd much rather buy a better quality well made book if I can. 💗👍
