I love the books!! I love watching art hauls and swatching videos,It's so fun to see what other artists use. You won't be disappointed with the paul rubens metallic set, they're very opaque and have a lot of pigment!!😊
Regina, I just came across your video and I loved your haul of books. And paint supplies. Thank you so much. I’m new at painting and the books you mentioned are in my list of buying already. Thank you so much.
I really enjoyed spending tonight with you talking art supplies while I relaxed and crocheted… and I subbed as soon as you mentioned Lindsay ‘cos any fan of hers is someone I know i can be friends with! And I appreciated your thumbnail, and the behind the scenes ending 😂 I also don’t know if you’ve heard of her… but Karen Campbell has some great learning to draw “Fun Fab Faces” books, a great personality, and TH-cam channel and website/courses as well.
Alright I’ve made it through! Ooh girl how oh how do you decide what to work on first!! 😂 the sketchbook generator seems really neat! I’m surprised you didn’t have more supplies. I just started loving the mythographic series. I love that I can find them at Walmart too. I like to use my inktense pencils in them. I just picked up Labrynth tonight actually l….lol merry late Christmas to me! Oh how I wish blick would show up at my door like that lmao 🤣 tootaloo and don’t stop sharing! ❤
Thank you so much! Well, life is too short to not be quirky! LOL! 😆 I have no idea what to work on first. I might have to grab one at random and start. Thank you for watching!
Very fun! You are so funny! :) Love it! and I love the books. I never knew the instructional books on Gouache and Collaging existed. very interesting. I'll have to check them out as i'm interested in doing some of that in my coloring books. and your clipboard idea for watercolor paint is fabulous! I never thought of that and most of my watercolors are in tins so that might work out great. Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you! LOL! 😂 I'm excited to play with collaging. I got the gouache book to get new ideas for painting. I just posted a video on using gouache in coloring books if you want to check it out.
Very yummy video, so many good art supplies. I'm happy for you for getting all those beautiful books you were wishing. I'd love to have at least one of Kristy's Rice books but I didn't see the price drop yet here in Europe and + delivery makes it very expensive. I'm a Gansai Tambi lover, Kuretake Art Nouveau and Graphite colors are my favorites, I use them all the time. Thank you for sharing.
That’s a huge haul and many good items! Love the video. I also just got the same Paul Reubens non-metallic set at Christmas. Small world! Didn’t know a sketchbook ideas generator existed and i just ordered one, thanks 😄
I like the things you bought a lot. I have a couple but haven’t used them much. I have the Inktense set 2 and the smallest gamsai tambi ,the 14 pans but just swatched the colours till now. I have one of Kristy Rice books but I am too scared to do anything yet. I have bought a lot of watercolour supplies but haven’t tried anything serious yet. My substitutes to actual watercolour are Inktense pencils, watercolour pencils and water soluble crayons. I use them a lot in my colouring books and sketchbook. I hope I will gradually be more confident and try to actually do some watercolour work. Have fun with your lovely stuff.
Thank you so much for watching! I want to encourage you to use your lovely supplies. Unused supplies are wasted supplies! In a way, I feel like Inktense is scarier than watercolor because once it's activated it's permanent. With watercolor, at least, you can reactivate it with water. So you are braver than you think! If you're scared to use watercolor in coloring books, try them on a sketchbook first so you'll get a feel for it. Just play! They're supposed to be FUN!
@@callettestudio thank you so much for replying and your words of encouragement. I really do feel bad that I have such lovely watercolour stuff and I just look at them and sigh 🙂. But I will give it a go in a sketchbook as you said .
Regina, good job on your art haul and the Kuratake watercolors from Blick. I got them at 31.50 as well but I had a 5 dollar coupon so it kinda worked out. I notice after christmas they dropped them back to 28 go figure. Maria
Hi Maria! Thank you for watching! Oh, Blick is so smart. They know people were shopping for Christmas gifts. And I just remembered that I did use a $10 gift card for that whole purchase so I guess my Kuretake came down to about $28-ish.
Which supplies and/or books inspire you the most? Let me know in the comment below!

Which supplies and/or books inspire you the most
For the supplies, I think the Kuretake Gansai Tambi Art Nouveau. For the books, Small Victories and The Sketchbook Idea Generator.
@callettestudio Hello, love this video. What do you use to film?
Thank you so much! I use my iPhone.
