The noun “Omo” which literally means a child in Yoruba and Edo languages can have a totally different meaning depending on the intonation and the stress when used in a sentence. It is one of the most used exclamations in NPE/NE for expressing surprise, anger, love, sadness, worry, disappointment, and embarrassment.
Omo when subtle - Boy/Men/My friend
    Omo when sad - Damn
    Omo when happy Awwww
    Omo when amazed Wow
Omo when stressed - Oh no
    Omo when angry Ahhhhh
Omo when embarrassed - What the heck?
    Omo when disappointed OMG
Omo when obsessed - Holy Shit
    Omo when surprised - Really?
