I remember seeing protesters on the highway here in California. They went on for a while and were honking up a storm, to my recollection they didn’t block the highway, though they affected traffic a bit.

The warnings were too late, but no one knew. We will never know what all went wrong. But we do know both local and federal government failed. Too many reports of FEMA blocking relief efforts. I pray for these people and would like to see more honest reporting from the media.

I’m here in East TN and its been devastating for our community. But I have seen such bravery and compassion in my friends and neighbors. I went to volunteer yesterday and there were so many helping at the high school, that we had to go somewhere else to help out. The Appalachian people are kind and strong and capable. ❤
