Hello! Do continue onto diploma in cello and possibly grade 8 theory, gcse and a level would be a must if your son wants to study a classical music degree at university. There are no other specified subjects you have to take for gcse and a levels apart from English, maths and sciences. Apart from universities, you may consider conservatoires (performance based courses and more competitive) E.g. RCM, RAM, Goldsmith, Buildhall, etc or if your son wants to develop in other genres of music like electronic music / pop music then you can consider music tech course at uni or BIMM where the focus is pop music! 英國year one 程度相等於香港嘅K3。 美國嘅KG。 英國year two 先係香港小學一年級 美國grade one
