I lived in AJ my first 3 years in AZ. That was 40 years ago. Loved it there, but it was too far from my job in Phoenix, so I moved to Tempe. I'm sure AJ is much different now, as is the rest of the world.
I think you're about a safe distance from AJ as long as you're south of the 60 but you do have the big landfill not far to the east =O and even the big manufactured home park at the 60 and Ironwood. Definitely things to consider.
