    Learn how to cook rice in an air fryer. If you love rice and you love using your air fryer give this method a try. Personally, I still think using a specific rice cooker or cooking rice traditionally on the stovetop is better, but this method definitely works, and if you don't own a rice cooker and you don't want to turn on your stove, do this! #rice #airfryer

    I ran out of gas for my stove last minute so this is really helpful!
    I love that there isn't loud music or long intro, just straight to the point!

    I recently bought an air fryer, but haven't used it yet. I always make my rice on the top of the stove, but this is a good tip.

      The rice cooker is the way to go, this is just another option for people who may want to try it in the air fryer. :)

      It always nice to know one more way to do something.
      Remind me back in my childhood, people cook rice with pressure cooker. And if your timing is right, the rice at the bottom could form a crispy layer that when cool down, make a very tasty snack when you dip it at fish sauce with garlic+lime+chilli.
      That thing would never be done if you use rice cooker.

      Any oven safe pan that will fit inside your air fryer.

    Or I can use my rice cooker and air fryer at the same time to make a whole meal 🤔

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt

      Yes you sure can, if you have both of those. Not everyone has a rice cooker. This is just how to do it in the air fryer if someone wants to, it isn't the "best method" necessarily, nor am I telling you you should do it this way, just a simple tutorial showing how. Someone requested this video, so here it is.

    But i read using air fryer is not good for the health

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt

      That is wrong information, where did you read that? There is nothing wrong with using an air fryer. In fact air fryer makes foods that are traditional deep fried much healthier because you aren't using so much oil. Read this: www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/324849

      @@xam_aspirants Yes that article doesn't say they are not good for your health, in fact it says they are better than deep frying like my article I shared with you. Also it sums it up perfectly, they are only as healthy as the food you cook in them which is the same for any method of cooking :)

    Lol my guy wheres at least salt?😂😂 bland rice with no flavour?

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt

      this isn't how to flavor the rice, this is how to cook it. Flavor it however you want, obviously.

    • @Shayane13

      @@inthekitchenwithmatt yes but that's exactly how you cook rice with salt. How do u cook rice without any type of seasoning. Im pretty sure you ate that rice, obviously each to their own, I dont mean no harm, im just shocked how you can eat bland rice simply with just water.

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt

      @@Shayane13 It was just one bite, that rice was used in another dish after. Traditionally you do not add anything to the water, it is just water and the rice. Once cooked you season the rice OR the plain unseasoned rice is used in other recipes. Like I said, you can season the rice however you want.

    • @Shayane13

      @@inthekitchenwithmatt traditionally? I guess we do not have the same tradition, and no you do not season the rice after its cooked, you add it before so it absorves with the water and taste in the rice, but each to their own. 🤍

    • @inthekitchenwithmatt

      @@Shayane13 Yes we must not. I have been making rice for more than 30 years, daily when I lived in the Philippines. And you absolutely season the rice after the fact so you have complete control over it with whatever recipe you need the rice for. There are tons of recipes that call for plain unseasoned rice. :) That is my whole point. And it doesn't matter, like I said, this video shows how to cook the rice in the air fryer add salt or don't it won't change the method of cooking it in that air fryer, haha.
