  • How to Cook Rice in a Rice Cooker (Aroma) will show you how to use a rice cooker for white rice and brown rice!
    Rice Cooker Aroma - amzn.to/33700Db
    Short Grain Rice - amzn.to/2IuGgl4
Brown Rice Short Grain - amzn.to/33aj3wB
First, you will need to get the ratio of rice grains to water (1 cup of rice grains / 1 cup of water), so measure the amount of rice grains for your rice cooker. Every rice cooker has a limit on how much cooked rice the rice cooker can handle, be sure to read the limitations of your rice cooker!
Second, measure the amount of water you need for your rice (1 cup of water per 1 cup of rice).
Third, plug your rice cooker in and hit the white rice or brown rice button depending on the grain of rice you’re using. Wait and enjoy your cooked rice!
Pro tip: If you want your cooked rice to taste better, use flavoring or replace water with beef or chicken broth.

I suggest to wash or rinse the rice first until the water is clear. Then when you add the water to cook it add some cooking oil to the rice so that at the end is not sticky and you ll have a flufy rice you can add some salt to the water and oil at first .Good luck.😊

    • @bitch8205

Question, why should the rice be rinsed? I'm trying to learn how to cook fluffy white rice because my rice keeps ending up dry for some reason even though I'm using plenty of water, but I never thought to rinse it, could that be why? And would vegetable oil suffice? How much oil and salt would you recommend?

@@bitch8205 About the salt use it to taste.about washing the rice it comes from a farm it come with all kinds of dust starch the starch makes it sticky after rinsing it few times until the water is clear.About how much water :Every brand demands different amount of water so it comes with your experiance also it depens if you soake the rice for sometimes or not.I use basmaty rice how I cook it I meager 3 cups of rice wash it and leave it for a while In a pot pour four and half cups of water and bring it to the boile then pore the washed rice in the pot add 2 spoon full oil half spoon salt and steer it so the salt desolves and the rice gets oily the oil helps and it dosen t get sticky.if it is cooked with high flame the water evaporates quickly cold or hot water should not be added but you can ajust the cook with the flame bring it down if the rice has no water bring the flame down and the lid on if it has a lot of water and the rice is cooked then take the lid off and with high flame gently steer it so the botton would not burn.Traditionally this how is done: when the water in the pot is almost gone turn the flame down rap the lid in a cloth or towle so it can collect the water by soking it and prevents the water drip back into the rice that is the key having a flufy white tasty aromatic rice. You can chop some leeks parsly taragon with some tomeric for color and add it to the boiling rice and enjoy it..good luck😃

I got a Tiger rice cooker with a steamer basket and honestly it drastically reduces my cooking time and clean up time. So much so that I'm eating healthier now whereas before I would avoid cooking at home because it was too much of a chore so I would eat out a lot. But now it's so easy to toss together ingredients to slow cook chili or hard boil eggs in the steamer basket as a stew is cooking. I use it for a lot of things other than just rice. I can't imagine living without it now. I can see why some people buy premium rice cookers for up to $300 because they do so many things and save a lot of money on electricity.

This, for myself, is the absolute BEST Rice Cooking vid on YT. Quick & to the point, with GREAT points and no children playing around & talking or unnecessary yapping. Please don't get me wrong, I love watching parents teaching their children how to cook, but some vids with children, begin playing around, with SO much talking, I lose my train of thought. But ABSOLUTELY not this vid. When I was a child & my mother would be teaching my sisters & I how to cook, we were NOT allowed to play around & talk. We spoke, of course, but ONLY questions pertaining to the dish we were trying to learn to prepare. So, please don't think I'm being rude. the cup that comes with the rice cooker is a ¾ cup measure. The video poster measured 3 of the cup from the appliance which actually=2¼ standard measuring cups. And then he used a standard liquid measuring cup with 3 cups of water.
The comment you responded to says she used, I believe, 1 cup of rice to 3 cups water, which leads me to believe she maybe used brown rice? That rice requires more water. White rice is not all the same, by the way. Long grain, short round/arborio rice, jasmine rice all need different amounts of liquid per 1 cup standard dry measuring cup of rice. Hope it helps.

You don't wash the rice? That is weird not washing it. I usually put the rice in the freezer for a couple of days before storing in a container outside . This I was told to kill any larvae eggs , maggots, insect eggs etc. I once opened a bag of rice and saw a lot of the rice moving. It was white maggots that look like the rice kernels. Had to throw out the whole bag of rice.

You don’t need to measure cups, you can use any unit. Or you can fill the water so the rice is one knuckle below the water. It comes out good every time for me. I have big fingers, and I like it well done. But medium fingers give you perfect rice always.

It should rinse 2-3 times then drain water do repeat. Done! Now you need to leave final water in that rice then put in rice cooker. Push to start and it will be fluffy rice! Remember ratio water rule. 2:1 (2 water cup to 1 rice). Most commonly is that you can use 1:1 in most cases. Just make sure it doing correctly.

the rice cup measurement and the water measurement you used are a different amount. also you definitely want to rinse the rice thoroughly. a lot of times the rice is probably left out in the open to collect dust before it’s bagged up. it’s also loaded with arson which can be removed by washing.
