Babies of Ilonggo families were put to sleep by their mothers singing this lullaby for many generations. Included in the Panayana repertoire of the Maragtas Choral Group, WVSU, I sang this lullaby (solo with a hammock (duyan) as prop) on various stage performances during my student days. I’m in awe of the Madz arrangement and grateful for the recognition given to this beautiful and truly meaningful Ilonggo song 🙏🙏🙏
