By the way you do not need to remove the two top screws all the way just loosen enough to lift off the ice maker. It's way easier to re install that way
The fridge I'm trying to fix is this 736TCL-6 Sub zero problem on the board because it makes ice when it wants to. I tested valve and ice make. I believe the scolding is a plate. My fear for an old refrigerator is that it doesn't have parts for it. Because here in Brazil I didn't find any representative. If you can help me I will be very grateful. Thanks
Hey, I have a SubZero 501F that's been in service for a good while with no water to the ice maker. I just hooked it up and water just pours out of the ice tray and into the ice catch basin until I turn off the water. Suggestions?
Many thanks!!! Question: Would a failed fill (or drain) tube heater halt ice production? I am unable to get my 690/F to resume ice production. I have done all the following: Replaced icemaker, tested valve (works fine - I can manually fill the ice maker via an override after swapping in the door water fill switch (thus bypassing the signal that is supposed to be sent by the ice maker to the valve), verified continuity of wires from icemaker to valve and icemaker to ground (all good), verified all four switches work (two for the ice bucket, two in the door). I have not yet verified whether the *drain* tube is clogged (I suppose it could be…). If either the fill or drain tube heaters failed would that cause the ice maker to halt production (e.g. is there some thermostat that is opening/closing a circuit to verify that the tubes are being heated)? Any other suggestions for me?
The ice level bar hangs to low on my sun zero 700 series ice makes. When I go to push in the drawer, the bar feet are below the level of the ice bucket so I can’t close the door. Any ideas how I can raise the bar?
Great video but still stumped. No ice coming from my 20 y.o. SubZero 550. Did a bunch of tests tonight that took far too long since it was my first time. But now, I'm not sure how to read them. Can you help diagnose the problem and solution from the following data: L to N: 119 volts L & H: 76.7 ohms L & M: Jumped all over the place when I did multiple times and ranged from 84 to 120 to 160 or 180 ohms at varying times. V & N: 169 ohms T & H: Nothing When I jumped, the following happened: L to T: Nothing happened T to H: Nothing happened N to M: Wheel turns L to V: Nothing Tempted to call repairman and spend the big bucks unless you think it's a clear solution from the above? What do you think is the problem? Solution? THANK YOU!!!!

I would replace the water fill valve . It’s stuck in the open position.

What if the ice level arm is stuck in the up position after thawing freezer? Any thoughts?
