I had the Tim holtz one and I was very happy with it. I got the CCP one as a freebie and I absolutely love it. The springs make it so easy to use and not only are the magnets easier to pick up, they’re also harder to misplace.
@@haleycook3397 a while ago it was an offer on craftstash. … spend £ xxx and get a free stamping platform. It was for one day only and it just happened to be a day where I was ordering something else that qualified
Question - why do you try to move the paper to center the stamp. It would be more practical to set the paper in the upper corner against the rulers so it is horizontal & vertically straight then place the stamp on the center of the paper then pick the stamp up with the lid. Perfect positioning.
Thank you Lou. I actually bought the Misti first bc that’s all I could find here in 🇺🇸 Then, I bought the Tim Holts bc I found Craftstash. But, my absolute favorite of all is the Creative Craft Product bc of the ability to hover over the paper with my stamp and the fact it has 4 magnets instead of 2. I purchased the CCP bc Sam Calcott had it in one of her lives. Looking forward to more comparison videos. 💕🌺
What a great comparison. I used to have the Tim Holt’s platform but didn’t like it. The stamps never stayed on the grid and as you said, you can’t line up the page while not touching the paper. I’ve just received my Creative Crafts platform today so I’m looking forward to using it. - Dawn 🌅
I have both of these stamping platforms, and really like them both, I do favour the Craftstash one as I love the spring action, perhaps they could bring out a larger one
I have both platforms, and there were a couple other considerations you didn’t compare. The TH fixed sides with measurements are actually helpful for keeping the cardstock in place. If you butt the upper left corner of card stock where those edges meet and put one magnet in either the upper right and bottom right the paper won’t move even after repeated stamping. I prefer that feature, which works great for bulk image stamping on multiple papers. You will know immediately where to put the paper. This also works well for shaped card stamping since there’s two solid edges. I’ve had to make a template when using CS, (using the reverse cut out from a matching die which I tape in place) or put tape on the platform to mark edges to place paper for bulk stamping. And find the TH doesn’t shift the paper around as much. On the other hand, the CS is my go to platform when traveling because it weighs so much less and is less bulky. And if you have a large detailed design on the stamp, the TH method I use sometimes doesn’t stamp as clear on the upper fixed side. Finally, if using multiple stamps at same time, that will be die cut as a batch, (like layered floral pieces) the CS works well for the smaller die cutting machine with the 6” opening, but if you have a larger machine, the added 2” x 8 “ surface on the TH means you can stamp and die cut more stamped images at a time. Bottom line, I find having them both is handy and together is cheaper than the mid sized misti.
Thanks Lou for a great comparison. Tried to purchase the Creative Craft one but unfortunately they are unable to ship it to the U.S. at this time. Maybe someday, but really appreciated your demo. Hope to see others as well.😊❤
I have the Tim Holtz one, it does everything I need it to do. I don't think it was a fair comparison, on the point of the cardstock moving on the TH platform, when you could easily butt it up against the raised edge.
According to their "Delivery" page on their UK website, they ship to Australia, costs determined by weight. Apologies if I've missed a statement that says otherwise.
Great comparison! I own them both and am glad I bought the TH before that became impossible here in the US….. the ability to easily stamp just about any size paper on either of them far outweighs the “buzz” of another name brand everyone here thinks is terrific… and is way overpriced! The ear of the CCP makes it the one I reach for most…🧑🏼🎨
I love my Tim Holts one. It just does everything I need and never had a problem. Love the case it goes in for protection.

yes the springs are a great feature
If you don't mind me asking how did you get it as a freebie?

Yes hopefully there'll be newer updated versions in future
Great comparison, looking forward to more xx

Thanks for such a detailed reply! that's really useful to hear and glad you can make use of both of them
I bought the TH platform years ago and hated it then I recently bought the creative craft one which I absolutely love xx

ah yes sorry about that it's something to do with a patent out there I believe.

Hi Lou, I would love to buy the Craft Stash Platform. They don't ship these to Australia, what a shame.

Can you buy extra magnets if you loose them from the Craft Stash one ? I like that one. I love the comparison videos
we don't sell them separately I'm afraid - I guess if you bought basic magnets and added tape to them
Maybe the etched grid on the tonic one made your stamp fall off. It will stick better on a smooth surface!
I need to throw my TH one away because the acrylic side is full of dead spots even with fun foam under it sadly. Bummer.

Ah thanks so much :)
