- This was done using the Hyperspeedcube program, with the sticker spacing and face spacing set to 0. I also made sure to always keep the last layer on the U cell so that it looked like a 3x3x3 solve as much as possible. This is very cursed, so enjoy :)
I like how it can look completely solved and actually be unfinished. Its like the 4d equivalent of solving one side and then hiding the rest of the cube with your hand

it's so strange to see OLL algorithms i recognize on what is something so obviously alien
it's really cool because to solve you really don't need any special 4D algorithms! You can just use your normal 3D ones in different ways to solve the puzzle :D

This I think actually helped me visually understand 4d space more than anything else I’ve ever seen in my life which is very cool. Still can’t wrap my head around how you only need 8 colors though, even though I know that it has 8 faces I can’t even come close to envisioning how this thing is colored

Depends how you solve it
Since you can just do it with formula on paper, it probably wouldn't in that case, but if you do it with the software you can kinda develop an intuition for it.
My solution is just that it's each face has 3 layers instead of one so you can kinda think of it as 3 weirdly overlapping standard 3x3x3 or one standard 3x3x3 with each face having 3 colors instead of one

ye after solving the F2L of the PLL, the LL of it is on the inside where you can't really see it. There's some other solve on my channel where you can see what's going on better

How I interpurtate a 3×3×3×3 is basic solving three 3×3×3s a once with each 3×3×3 able to interact with each other basic interchanging layers
Imagine having three 3×3×3s with random scrambles then take one side of one of them and switch it with another's side
It honestly wouldn't be that difficult of a puzzle since the only thing added is another dimension of complexity, the only thing you need to figure out is which pieces go on which cube and the orientation of it, and this is just another level of pattern recongnition and look ahead which cubers already do

The extra x3 is impossible to comprehend. 3x3x3 makes sense, but attempting to figure out where a 4th dimension would fit doesn't really intuitively work in our brains at all. Its obvious that the 4th dimension is just some sci-fi thing, cause it has no bearing in material reality whatsoever.
