Always someone out there to save us huge frustration. I popped the water tight cap off and see this silver, transformer type thing and realize - I don't have a clue how this works - but 5 minutes later? it's like I've done it 10 times thanks to people on TH-cam that face the same struggles we all do and try to help the next guy/gal.

My 2016 didn't have the white ring. The plastic piece around the bulb itself twisted 1/4 turn. Otherwise spot on. Thanks so much for the video.
Great explanation on how to create the clearance to get in to remove the bulbs. The first time you take something apart it's difficult to know how to do it without breaking things. Thank you 👍
I got lucky at a random thrift shop type business yesterday and found some nice and extra bright headlights for $6. Got excited and wanted to replace them now, thanks for your help man

I had the H.I.D. Headlights (same as the ones in the video {The square silvery metal box looking one})
When installing the replacement bulbs start at the wire pointing down position (toward to street). Also for confirmation the bulbs only need a 1/4 turn (Quarter turn). You’re not crazy.

Hi, this is the best video I have found to change out the headlight on my 2015 Chevy Impala. Everything is straightforward and simple except for one issue. My connector does not have the orange plastic clip. It is an all metal connector and for some reason I cannot get it to unclip. There is no obvious tab to unclip it and everything I try doesn't work. I can feel something holding it together when I move it but there is nothing to release it. Any ideas? Thanks!

Is it normal for some headlights to come without the brackets ?
When do u know its just the bulb u need, i have a 2016 and the center round globe bulb is out but the outside ring bulb is still illuminated. I was told i have to buy the whole lamp casing and everything which i was told was like 600. Im hoping i was lied to and can just replace the bulbs
