Alot of people saying everything this guy is doing is unnecessary and that may be true but he clearly sees this as a hobby as well. There's a guy who built security systems and he ended up building one of the safest homes in America and said he did it because he had the money and he liked the challenge. It's an absolutely insane house you should check it out. Its called the Rice house in Alpharetta GA. My friends and I broke in when we were in high school in 2009 and they were installing the underground escape tunnels haha all of it was unnecessary but fun for the guy who built it. I'm a member of the country club where the house is located and I always check out the status of the house when I play golf.

I would add a deployable Drone aka quadcopter with some kind of offensive/defensive capability. When intruder enters or gets close to 2nd line of defense the drone can be launched with a warning message broadcasted by drone using a speaker and if things escalate it could be used as a stand off deterrence to show some kind of force to possiable force intruder off or away from property. Land based drones in combination with air based drones is the best way to do it.

I wouldn't be so quick to label it that. A lot of us kids growing up loved building fortresses and playing with gadgets. Building a fortress out of a real home, especially with cash in the wallet, would be fun too and also practical.
