Damn. I'm watching this and it makes me think of my aunt who just passed away. One of her favorite things in the world was the international cuisine in LA. She loved to take me around LA and show me all of the awesome little spots she'd found, including getting taquitos at Cielito Lindo at the end of Olvera Street or Mama's Hot Tamales next to MacArthur Park. She would've loved watching this and I know she could've shown you the best damn eating experience in LA, no matter what cuisine you wanted. She always knew what was good.
Omg finally!! I had seen you when you got those birra tacos around January was when you filmed it I remember! It was cool watching you do what you do in person 👍
40 years ago my idea of "authentic" Mexican food was Chi-Chi's. Then I was in LA on business for a week, and the guy I was working with asked me if I liked Mexican food. I said, sure! So he took me to a few different restaurants that week and I realized I'd never eaten real Mexican food before. Now I live in Colorado, we have a large Hispanic population here too and a lot of great Mexican restaurants and food trucks with similar dishes you show here if you know where to go. Its fantastic! Great video Mike!
that he did, little too intense for him but he sees why ppl like it, that's how you gotta be with food, you dunno how you actually feel about a food before you try it.
I would skip the first place and Olvera Street is where tourists go. Surprised Mikey didn't like the pozole with cow's foot. That looked good and authentic to me. I would definitely go for that, but I guess you have to like that menudo taste. There are many more great Mexican eateries in LA. Mikey only skimmed the surface and did not go to the better ones. He needs a good Mexican food guide if he returns to LA to do another food tour that goes beyond tacos. Or if he goes to Mexico City to collab with 5 Mexican Guys and eat some good Mexican tacos, huaraches, tortas, sopas, mariscos and everything good, delicious and authentic there...also, very cheap.
i love menudo but i only eat the stomach, not the pig foot. Some people like the foot tho.He probably wasnt sure what he should or shouldnt eat. When i was growing up, my dad had Chinese friends who would eat pickled pigs feet and it would gross me out. Ive always made that association since then, Chinese guys and pigs feet, lol.
@@turtlepowersf I think you need chopsticks to eat that, you have big floppy pieces of cow and a little plastic spoon, it's a mess! I always appreciate if they cut it up a little more, gives you a chance to eat it. It took me a long time to get up the courage to try this soup, I had to be talked into it. Now I'm a fan, but still might dream of pozole as one of the best things in the world. Maybe he'll find some here, I haven't finished the video yet.
Oh gosh, that looks amazingly good! Thank you for showing us so many different tasty food 😊🙏 I've never really tried Mexican food, but now I feel I HAVE to! 😍
You’re a true food connoisseur with great taste. That corn breading you were referring to on the tamale is called “masa”. For you to enjoy that better than the pork filling says you know true flavor when you taste it. It is perfectly ok to really enjoy the masa better as it truly is sometimes better than the filling. Cheers🍺

Same 😂❤
baby want some tacos!!!!
Why can’t people be like this man who can appreciate so many cultures
I always watch your videos will having meal cause it gives a felling of having food with someone , always ❤️ your videos.

Go to Ensenada Baja California México for amazing seafood, craft beer, and mind blowing tacos! Just 3 hours south of San Diego!
Nah
I miss living in Ensenada for the food alone. Best seafood I've ever had
Im from Mexicali and i miss Ensenada so much, because of covid I can’t go of course but definitely and amazing beautiful place❤️
I literally just ate less than an hour ago, yet this video is still getting my mouth watering and making me hungry again lol
Dang bro you can put them tacos down! My respects man I'm Latino and can only eat three takitos and I'm full 🤘
3 and that's it?? You ain't a real Mexican ;/
@@ladyema8836 Yep I ain't Mexican I'm a Latino 😊
40 years ago my idea of "authentic" Mexican food was Chi-Chi's. Then I was in LA on business for a week, and the guy I was working with asked me if I liked Mexican food. I said, sure! So he took me to a few different restaurants that week and I realized I'd never eaten real Mexican food before. Now I live in Colorado, we have a large Hispanic population here too and a lot of great Mexican restaurants and food trucks with similar dishes you show here if you know where to go. Its fantastic! Great video Mike!
Thank you for sharing LA Mexican culture 🙏🏽 earning your latino card
I thought i was the only one who thought elote taste better on the cob! Great videos man
It's so much easier in the bowl/cup, but the grilled flavor is so much better on the cob! Now I want some elote so bad... uggghhh. Summer and elote. ❤
I love it on the cob that's half the fun!
No it definitely tastes better on the cob. You are not alone 😉
*The Street Food life... 💯*
When u get the munchies ughzz...
Midnight Cravings He is killing me.
I love your videos! I can’t understand how you can eat so much and not be fluffy 😂 this made me so hungry!
He walks to the next restaurant! 🤣😂😆
You are genuinely the best youtuber hands down I just love your videos especially the ones with you in japan
thank you!! :-)
He tried menudo !!! 💗💗💗
that he did, little too intense for him but he sees why ppl like it, that's how you gotta be with food, you dunno how you actually feel about a food before you try it.
Panza looked like not boiled enough, to chewy
Nathan Tanguma u right
Lmao Gringa
@@tanguman2 it didnt look chewy at all. Was he was referring to as the cow stomach was actually the pig feet. mostly skin
Theres a place in culver city called El Abajeño and that place always hits the right spot
Cielito Lindo on Olvera Street has legit good taquitos!
As someone who moved out of California a few years ago, this video made me homesick. I'm going to make papas con chorizo.
This man ate soo much he had to take a nap....👀
Bruh, thats the best way to eat Mexican food tbh 👌
Love it ;P
He had to take a crap
Dude took a siesta
Food coma!
Finally! Mexican food is one of the best cuisines ever
Oh gosh, that looks amazingly good! Thank you for showing us so many different tasty food 😊🙏
I've never really tried Mexican food, but now I feel I HAVE to! 😍
@streamline6666 Oh yes, trust me, I will!
We mexicans eating good
@@burntgum101 I can definitely see that!
I feel like you will love it! It’s very flavorful, you will especially enjoy it if you like spicy food.
@@childofda80s Well, being from Thailand, YES, I looooove spicy food indeed^^
Anxiously waiting for your Mexico City tour. I'm no longer asking you yo go, I'm demanding you go lol
I'm getting hungry of this before I watch this video
@yourdad Swagkage sh*t
Whatsthe meme called
You’re a true food connoisseur with great taste. That corn breading you were referring to on the tamale is called “masa”. For you to enjoy that better than the pork filling says you know true flavor when you taste it. It is perfectly ok to really enjoy the masa better as it truly is sometimes better than the filling. Cheers🍺
Just got back from eating Sashimi and Sushi ; now I want Mexican food!
Mike is the man 😭💕
Everything from the vampire taco place looks GLORIOUS!!!!!
Everybody needs the Corn man. I should have kidnapped him when I moved to the frozen tundra.
Poor u.. Aki pasa todas.las tardes. Sunny Central CALIFORNIA. Stay warm..🙌
Taco King come close enough?? Naahhh.. maybe Gallos.
The taquitos from Cielito Lindo at Placita Olvera are BOMB!!
Cielito lindo 💯💯🔥🔥🔥
The best
Since you brought up the subject of hot oil I have to ask whatever happened to the hot oil you were making ? I'm still looking forward to having a bottle of it on my shelf and on my food...
I like how Mike’s contents always make my tummy hungry, not only that he makes us feel
like we are traveling with him, there’s also that story he always shares that
inspires us someway in our lives. Looking forward to seeing and watch more of your

That man was wearing exactly what I thought the elote man would be wearing.
Same as the taquero
Lmaooo on god , they all look the same 🤣🤣
Big love to my mexican brothers tho
That's racist
We got the same name but you are a woman
I have mad respect for the corn man. A line like that means only one thing!!!! You’re about to eat the best damn corn ever. I can eat tacos every single day. Omg I can appreciate this video. I love vampires.
When you said you’d probably be having horchata with every meal, I knew you were the food tour guide for me 🥰! Good horchata is life . Excellent video ! I wonder how these restaurants are faring since Covid, I hope they’re all doing great.
thank you for always putting the locations to these stores in the description, such an underrated gift to all
