Why would any African nations give a damn about the UN charter?? As if the UN gives a damn about Africa.
United Nations never said that . Only vote about the issues. Because it's complicated, some states stayed non aligned. There is know need to make it an African thing .

Interesting how Germany did not have the same position when the same South Africa was under the apartheid regime.
Germany was 2 different countries during apartheid. West Germany was fighting communism. East Germany was under the control of communist regime and did Not support the National Party, but they did support Mandela and the black majority during apartheid in SA.
They did not reunify until 2000. South Africa was a democracy in 1994 When communism collapsed in 91 the western powers dropped their hidden support for apartheid and decided to try an experiment in bk majority rule. They were warned that SA would turn into a failed state and that is exactly what happened. Now that SA has shown that they support a state that makes up less than 2 percent of its GDP over the 3 different countries that make up over 75 percent of their GDP and its the largest contributors in aid for aids and other assistance projects in the billions of South African Rand.

This is more of a reason why Africa needs to speak in one voice and no country should bully any countries in our continent. If the west sanctions one country in Africa we all should retaliate against that country that sanctions a country in our continent. If one country in Africa is hurt economically by western sanctions we should take that seriously. The entire continent should retaliate against Germany for even thinking they can twist any countries arms in the continent.
At this time, 60/70% of countries on the U.S. Sanctions are in Africa.
It is informative to note that the "human rights" being pushed in Africa are truly not about the "LGBTQIA" community but rather a new tool of coercion to force vocal African countries into compliance and support NATO, in-exchange for "AIDES".
