To this day, I am still impressed with the camera work and movement on those models. These peeps at ILM were from another world. I can totally see why they deserved that Oscar for this film.
Rogue 1 or not, the moment when Admiral Akbar grins, knowing he got that Super Star Destroyer, is priceless.
Love you you added the colliding Destroyers at 2:35!
...also loved how you added parts of the Death Star II in some shots in other videos.
... and how you're trying new things with adding Star Destroyer shadows to the Death Star's surface at 3:14.
That was really cool! Nice job!
Lmao I just noticed. It’s both badass and hilarious especially with the music
3:15 Admiral Versio: Piett, you fool! Get me inferno Squad.
2:34 Great editing job.
The battle of Scarif and Endor mixed together?
All this does is show you how freaking good the effects from 1983 still hold up.
these were intercut with scenes from Rogue One.
Blue Leader back from the dead and having a blast.
Loved how they added the one star destroyer slicing it way through another like that, from Rogue One.

"Piett you fool....Get me Inferno Squad Now"
Data watching star wars. "Have an idea!" Saving it later. 🖖
Looks like there was some curvature added to the Death Star’s horizon during the impact of the Super Star Destroyer. It has long been a complaint regarding the original release that there was virtually no visible curvature showing at this point. Given the scale of the SSD to the Death Star, some considerable curvature should have been visible, like in this edit. If this was intentional, good attention to detail.
The Death Star is not round, it is flat... like the Earth.
@Pine_Gap_Island Please god...no!
OK, the question of how did One A Wing manage to take down a Super Star Destroyer with one hit. After the Bridge Deflector shields were destroyed. That A Wing must have packed some destructive capability.
That wasn't what destroyed the SSD per se. The crash destroyed the bridge for sure and caused internal explosions. But the majority of the damage was from the Rebel Fleet pummeling the Executor and destroying it's subsystems (engines, repulsorlifts). This led to it losing control and being pulled into the Second Death Star's gravity well. It was completely destroyed when it collided with the Battlestation's hull.
@@richardched6085 thats a major security issue that the empire should focus on fixing. Making a patch for the 1.2 version of the Executor XD
Rouge One splice in....
0:33 to 0:48 did not have to go that hard the music fit so well
Looked good until you mixed in "Rogue One"
I like some of it, but the more specific parts take me out of it.
while i understand why they cut out Jerjerrod's scenes as they break up the pace, leaving them in would've also added in more tension since it meant the Rebels were on a time limit before they blow up Endor
They'd already done that in the first movie with Yavin. Maybe Lucas just didn't want to use that particular plot point again.
Did you add more fire to the explosions? Theres more than I remember and too much for space, where there is no oxygen!
You forgot “Piett you fool”
need all parts o dvd
The scarif scenes ruin this for me
It's amazing how the 80's FILM looks cinematic while Digital looks dull, lifeless and loses all fantasy
nope
