    My good friend Matt is one of the people that were instrumental in helping me fall in love with the Shelby GT350R and eventually becoming an owner. He purchased his Shelby brand new and has been enjoying many amazing miles through the last few years. Recently he rolled over 50,000 miles, and of course that meant we needed to do an ownership update video! Join us as we talk about what the car has been like, what issues he has had, consumables and maintenance costs, and general feelings about the Shelby GT350R!

    Mine only has 25K in 6 years, but no issues at all. No oil consumption, no A/C failure or leaks, never thrown a CEL or trouble code. It's been back to the shop once for the oil line fitting recall. I've seen a GT350 at a local Cars and Coffee with 115K on the clock. Original block.

      If I’m honest I’ve never been a fan of the Mustang but I love the 350 R I like the concept the engineers through the bath water out and engineered a track special for the road.Basically a version of a Porsche gt3 s with a Ford badge on it and I love it.8000 rpm flat crank v8 screaming gripped to the inch of its life.I’m a fan.

I have BMR springs which has more lbs. linear spring rate than a stock 2020 R. Next i have a protec commander using e85 for 4 solid years. It has p51 wheels with continental extreme contact 325 rear 305 fronts. I just recently added a Soler performance 91.5mm throttle body which is better for drivability around town and down low. Ive only had to change the starter and battery out, and I think my AC compressor clutch pulley just went out, so i cut the AC belt since its getting colder for winter. Ill deal with it next summer. Ive driven from Miami to Seattle and back and all around the USA as well. Its my daily and still looks and drives like when i bought it 4 years ago. minus a few rock chips up front lol.

    I currently own a Gen 6 Camaro SS non 1LE. I had the opportunity to test drive a regular GT350. Heres my .02 cents. The GT350 feels special, what I immediately noticed was the difference in torque. Now I knew that going in but I was expecting a more then what I experienced. I realize the Voodoo shines above 4K but thats hard to do on a test drive on a public street. At least it was where I was. I loved the exhaust tone and its a sweet looking car. I'll probably take it out again when I can open it up to see what she can really do. Seating position couldn't be any more different. While visibility was better in the GT350 I kind of felt like I was sitting on top of the car where as the Camaro I feel like I'm sitting down in it.

      I never planned to buy that car to “invest” or to “save it”. I don’t save my cars for User 2. The car was created to be driven and enjoyed, and that’s what I’m doing.

    • @joshmalone8110
      @joshmalone8110 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@danielmembrillo6472 I've had 2 issues. I Slid off the pavement into 6 inches ov gravel at low speed. (User error) and cracked my oil cooler. It was a fairly simple fix.
      Issue 2 is frustrating. My starter gear won't engage the flywheel when randomly. It's super annoying. I'm sure a new starter will fix the problem. I'll probably do that over the winter when it's being driven less.
