Martinu's sound-world is unlike that of any other composer. He's so unique and fascinating.
Splendid work; great performance. I like the painting, too !
The 2nd movement is my favorite, it's so incredible: the rythm, the harmonies, the way the themes follow each other & seem to tell a story.

I am convinced that if a symphonic work gets recorded and makes it to TH-cam via upload, it is pretty good. This one is pretty good.
Of the six symphonies this is my favorite. Nothing like just laying back on a lazy afternoon and taking a listen. Thanks much Sergio.

Pleasant enough. But listening to his symphonies end to end.... they all seem to be saying similar things.... Melodic variation... invention... not the best....
