You should sponsor her! I have been sitting on the fence regarding purchasing the treatment, but because of this video I will be purchasing the number 0 and the number 3.☺️ so, what are you waiting for?👏🏾👍🏾
My hairdresser taught me to moisture my hair a little with water before you use the number 0. And use especially on your ends. In that way you don’t need that much product to saturate your hair. Same goes for the number 3. You don’t have to use a lot of the product for the same results.
Best review on TH-cam! I didn't know you were high porosity. I am and it seems like majority of youtubers on here are low. It's so nice to see a high porosity woman review this.
I've been binge watching your channel this week. Watching the same videos several times, taking notes, pausing and slowly reading the ingredient labels you display. It's been a great learning experience, FINALLY there's someone who is satisfying my need to know HOW? WHAT? WHY? and not just throwing product recommendations at me because of sponsorship. I've shared your channel with my friends who also live in Korea. It's tough being a natural haired women in these parts yo but girl,, you've been helping me soo much. Thank you ❤️
I use 0, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. My hair was so damaged and dry I had 0 moisture retention. It's like crack my hair LOVES this. I am breaking the bank since my hair is so thick but nothing works the same.

I have medium density, 4a, bleached and colored hair . Highly recommend these products . I use the Number 0, followed by the 3. I keep the #3 as long as I want before washing out with the matching shampoo and conditioner and style as usual . LADIES, DO NOT CUT OFF YOUR COLORED HAIR. TRY THIS FIRST (coming from someone who’s cut off colored hair 3x already)
I've been seeing people using and or talking about it so I've kinda been on the fence about it. I have fine, medium density, HIGH porosity hair so I think you sealed the deal for me. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS. Especially after you tug test and hair strands of shed hairs😱. I love the way you pronounced Pantene. TFS! Also, that golden bronze on that brown skin, the brows, its a whole look. YOU ARE THE WHOLE LOOK 🤗
I have been bleaching and coloring my 4a high porosity hair for over 15yrs. I started using Olaplex 3 years ago. I was able to grow and reduce breakage of my hair. I was able to grow my hair to shoulder length for the first time. I LOVE AND ADORE OLAPLEX.
THANK YOU! Your review was the one that convinced me! Thank you for mentioning your hair's porosity as well, and for quanitfying, in some way, the difference it made to your hair. I watched too many unconvincing reviews with typical adjectives like, "bounce", "smooth", "shiny", and the ever popular "stronger" with no real rationale as to why they believe so. God bless you, and may your hair continue to flourish 💖🙌❤
Curl smith just came out with a bond rehab like olaplex. It has a lot of protein in it but they claim it can be used weekly. Can you make a video breaking down its ingredients... Thanks!
they are very different. curlsmith is essentially just a light protein treatment being marketed as a"bond builder". Olaplex is not protein and contains a patented ingredient
I have straight, thin hair, but I thought this might still help somebody out. Years ago, I had long hair that was brittle, dull, and extremely straw-like bc of damage (heat? check. bleach? check. permanent copper color? check). Like, I used to move my hair and it would move rigidly as if it were made up of straws, not something flexible. I'd seen ppl rave about Olaplex, but I was only able to get my hands on no 3. From the very first application, my hair regained its flexibility back AND the shine, and the shedding/breakage decreased considerably. It felt soft and strong and when I moved my hair, it cascaded fluidly. I think it's truly worth checking out! The price is what it is, but at least you know that you're paying something that deserves it.
Thanks for sharing your experience with olaplex I have very fine short bob cut relaxed hair always wanted to purchase this product but as you know the range is very expensive I've just purchased some of the line on QVC UK they offering easy payments per month on some of the line....wow like you I will be purchasing this product line for ever wow the results were unbelievable
I am so glad to hear your Olaplex experience was similar to my own. It is definitely a GAME CHANGER. Used it weekly for 2.5 months and I can see the difference in my new growth. After that period of time and treatment, I was more confident in doing a two-step protein treatment. Did my FIRST protein treatment (Aphogee gel) Friday, and WOW.....fantastic. Olaplex stopped breakage considerably but hair on my edges/temples always felt rough to the touch when dry. NOT ANY MORE. The Aphogee gel (no heat required) was easy to apply and I am so, so pleased with the results. Did not do Olaplex this week but will pick it up next week. Looking forward to seeing my results between now and mid January when I do my next protein treatment. I appreciate your videos. They have been of great help on my 4c/4b/coarse/high porosity/greying natural hair journey. Thanks and thanks for the Iron tip. Its working. (Oh, I'd be interested in that Olaplex 0 & 3 Salon Size price hookup as well.....)
I used this combo a month ago and I agree that’s it’s definitely an excellent strengthening treatment. I used the two because my hair I felt was suffering from some form of heat damage but not severe enough that my curl pattern was visibly changed or altered. I was trying to do the moisture-protein balance but felt it wasn’t working and my ends were breaking off rapidly every wash day. After using the treatment my hair was very strong and needed more hydration so I stopped using butters and heavy oils and my hair was able to retain more of the moisture it was getting as a result. Also I have had less breakage, smoother cuticles, easier manageability and tighter more defined coils. The increased elasticity in my hair really allowed for my hair to be stretched and not snap as easily as before.
Tips; - Maybe use a spray bottle for the nr 0 to use less product? - I add 1 tbsp of Olaplex nr 3 to my deep conditioner or Aphogee 2 min during my weekly overnight pre-poo or when steaming. Maybe use your first bottle to really strengthen your hair and then the above method to keep the momentum going. That's what I am doing. It's been 2 months and I just hit half of my Olaplex nr 3.
Sis! Ill be on the lookout for your vid on this! I really liked how you shared with us about Curl Junkies Repair Me as a strengthening treatment cant wait to see your thoughts on Olaplex with strengthening our hair on a molecular level. I appreciate your content it’s so informative and not gimmicky !
Dang! Same exact ingredients? As a former PR person that takes balls in this age of social media. Just discovered Olaplex 3 and only used once so I need a few more uses to be definitive but I like the active ingredient so already ordered a second bottle.
Thank you so much for this! I have a request. If you try the Curlsmith bond salve can you record it and share your thoughts? I see a lot of people comparing that product to olaplex but it’s hard to trust their opinions because they seem heavily influenced by Curlsmith. I know that I can trust your opinion.
Comparing Curlsmith and Olaplex is nonsensical because Curlsmith is a protein treatment and Olaplex is not. They both serve different purposes. Curlsmith was paying TH-camrs to do a comparison knowing they aren’t the same product; that alone makes me look at them sideways.
I started with this then Aphogee. My hair wouldn't accept any products. I used Olaplex 3, 4 andc5 then the next week used 3, 4 Aphogee then 5, 6 and 7.
LOL when you said anyone who used this and didn't tell everyone with hair about it needs to be asking for forgiveness! I said that a couple years ago when I first discovered this Netflix show called The Good Place. It was so funny that I was mad at all my friends I raved to about it who then said, "I've been watching that for years.' Excuse me? And you didn't think to tell me? Well I just ordered my Olaplex 0 and 3 and it will arrive in 2 weeks. Very much looking forward to it. Thanks for the video.
Just purchased the No 0 and No 3 today can't wait to try it for myself and see if my high porosity hair will respond well to it and have dramatically less breakage than I have been experiencing since I flat-ironed my hair last January.
I tried olaplex 0 and 3 twice. The first time, I follow the instructions applying olaplex 0 to dry hair, and I really struggled with detangling. The second time I used the olaplex O on damp hair this worked much better. I previously used just the olaplex 3 on damp hair as instructed. This worked extremely well, my hair retained moisture so much better and the elasticity was most improved. I will buy and continue using olaplex 3 again, but I don’t no if I’ll buy olaplex 0 again. I think if you can’t afford both, you should definitely buy olaplex 3. Highly recommend By the way I think you’re absolutely beautiful, smart and very knowledgeable 👍🏽❤️
Great informative vid...as per usual. Also... I'm here for the hair care but your skinnnnn!! It is very much giving me glass and I'm here for ittt!! Feel free to toss in a skin care vid if you haven't already. Much love 💕
Fantastic video, I have high porosity, fine kinky coils hair, and live in London Uk, which means I can relate so well to what you discuss. You have spoken to the very heart of me . Thank you for being so knowledgeable and helpful, I have been binge watching all day🤗🥰😄
Olaplex 3 is just a slightly diluted version of Olaplex 2. Also another good bond repair is L'Oreal Paris EverPure Bond Repair Pre Shampoo. I know it says pre shampoo but it’s a strengthening protein hair treatment used after you shampoo
Great video!!! I’m in the protective style takedown process getting ready to try the no. 0 and no. 3 products together as you mentioned TODAY! Super excited to see results. After I had my 3rd child almost 6 months ago I experienced shed like I’ve never seen before. my hair has since began shedding less but I would to see these products set me back on track for long health natural coils and lots of growth. Thanks so much for sharing!! ✌🏽💕💯
Love the vid. LOVE Olaplex...3, 4 AND 5, unbelievably. Now 4 and 5 are the shampoo and conditioner, and they come in large containers, and a little goes a very long way. Mine are lasting a super long time... Which helps cuz we all know they are not cheap, LOL.
As I'm transitioning I definitely use the #0 and #3. It's helping a lot to prevent breakage 💕 The only thing I noticed it does not give me the slip like my prepoo treatment does. I might have to switch to a Co wash (camille rose of course 💕) and then proceed to a conditioner (camille rose of course 💕) to give me tons of slip. My hair needs that to help with the detangle process.
I just want to say thank you so much for the review. I love all your reviews about the hair products. Thank you for your honesty and work to show us all the good true benefits of the hair products. You truly help me to workout my hair problems. Sending all the love. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi I am going to try this product Immediately. Thank you I hadn't been using any protein treatments in.my hair. This will change now that I have spent today watching your videos and understanding the science. You are a gem🥰😘
I have medium density fine high porosity hair. I cut the relaxer out of my hair in May. I have several different textures on my head. The back is type 4/ coily. The sides are coily with the crown strands being a slightly looser texture. The top of my head is different it might be 3C. The hair strands on the top of my head would curl slightly with product's for 1 day and would frizz out for the rest of the week. The top of my head would be undefined until I started using Olaplex #3. Now I use both #0 and #3 every week. My hair is still short so the small bottles can last me awhile. I love Olaplex and I enjoy your informative channel very much.
guurrrrl, I am SO excited to get mine now! Just bought a travel size because it felt cheaper, but will only work for one treatment. SO looking forward to trying it on my 2b-3a mess. Have been getting wet webbing and other foolishness that I can't stand. Really hoping 0/3 help. Fingers crossed!!!
I bought both the Olaplex products. My hair has been breaking badly. I can’t run my hand through it without strands breaking off. It’s not grown past my shoulders and it’s not as thick as it was. I’m hoping this helps because I’m starting to feel ugly and falling into that trap of believing long and thick hair equals beauty. I hope it works.
Hard to find salon starter kits from legitimate sellers... and it's very expensive... but a LOT cheaper overall than buying the at home kits repeatedly. No.2 is the same as No.3 but more concentrated. No.1 is liquid gold. I add that to my other treatments!
I bought these 2 products yesterday and I'm trying them today. Loved your explanatory video AND your personality. I'm going to sub, 3even if we have very different hair and we probably use different products for different needs (apart from olaplex 0 and 3 😊😉)
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! The plant gels (specially the Kinky curly) changed my hair game!! I can feel the moisture retention! Changed my hair as well. I have bleached and curly hair👀
I get everything you put your stamp on. This will be on my Black Friday list. My question is, how are going to incorporate this into your hair care regime? Will you alternate it with your protein treatments ?
Love your channel. I Just purchased #0 and #3. I will be two weeks into my flat press and am not sure if I should wash let it air dry then apply the product. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated?
Fops OMG! I am off to buy number 0. I have had the number 3 sitting in my storage box for several months!! Who knew this was excellent for natural hair types also. I always associated Olaplex with bleached or chemically treated hair. Thank you so much for doing this video. You are such an angel!
Hello! I'm new to your channel but I'm loving you already!! You are soooooo funny I love it! 🤣🤣 I love to that we share the same high porosity hair make up. It's so hard to find youtubers with tutorials that speak about, teach, and make tutorials for fine medium defense high porosity hair. Your I love how informative and thorough your videos are. Thank you so much for making this video and more importantly for creating your channel, I love it! 😘
This video made me want to purchase the olaplex shampoo and conditioner as well... I ordered their number 0 and 3 before coming to this video... I'm glad I did because I almost gave up because of the high price and small quantity. Thank God I did a big chop and have 2 inch long hair already growing but I noticed some hair are growing with splits all over and breakages, hopefully olaplex will help🙏
Hey, hey, thanks for this review! I've been looking at this product for some time now wondering how it worked, so thanks 🙌🏾 Ps: you speak ever so eloquently & that always keeps me glued whenever you're on! Love it 🤩
I am a 3C/4A girl, I have used Olaplex 3 especially before I color my hair. I love it. I am planning on buying the 0 when I buy another bottle of the 3. Oh yeah I am high porosity.
@@AfopeAtoyebi my hair use to be so hard and brittle after I dyed it, so I use olaplex before I dye and for a couple of wash days after and my hair is so soft and juicy. It prepares my hair to receive my moisturizering leave Ins and deep conditioners.
Your videos are my new favorite, so much amazing info! I've been using the #3 alone with good results, but have never combined the #0. I'm eyeing the curlsmith bond repair though... please review that one?
I'd be interested in hearing your opinion on the curlsmith version of bond repair. I just tried olaplex one weekend and curlsmith's this weekend and I think I'm siding with curlsmith from now on. Would love to hear your thoughts, experience and scientific perspective 😊 I have 3c/4a, normal to low porosity.
So glad you did this! I've also been waiting. I already posted but super low porosity hair and it works well for me and I've been recommending it. It's expensive and I don't know many people with high porosity hair so I had been sitting here waiting for this video from you so I could definitely recommend it to the people who come to me for hair stuff. Yasss! Thanks!
FYI! Each Christmas Ulta.com sales an Olaplex 3 pack (Number 3, 4, and 5) for 28.00 at Ulta. No 4 is shampoo and No 5 is conditioner. It like getting 4 and 5 for free.
finally an olaplex video that actually explains and shows the difference. i just recently ordered the new no. 8 mask and no. 3 and it was quite expensive. i usually manage my bleached type 2 (i guess) hair by using regular protein treatments and i have been meaning to get olaplex but even after ordering i was so afraid that what if it doesn't work. but this video made me finally happy that my order is on its way
This was super helpful. Immediately repurchased as a back up. I’m interested in Curlsmith bond repair salve, as it targets all 3 hair bonds.
Aww. My comment made the cut! And yeah 1&2 are for stylists only. I actually pulled it out yesterday to color a wig. 🥰 I’m so glad you loved it as much as I did when I first discovered it. It’s definitely not cheap but it’s worth it. I’d suggest finding a stylist friend and asking them to go to a professional store. I have the salon sizes and it’s lasted me years. Literally lol

Olaplex 3 is a godsend for coarse natural grey/silver hair. I use it once a month, my hair feels like frikkin silk afterward.
Really .. you see a difference? I have dry grey , wiry hair that has little curl definition and is never shiny. Hope this will help.

Highly recommend
By the way I think you’re absolutely beautiful, smart and very knowledgeable 👍🏽❤️
Thank You again!! Its educated people like this that should do TH-cam Videos !!!!!!
Try the creme of nature Plex. I like my results the first time. I plan on stocking up during Sally’s 4 for $20 sale
Ingredients reading are very important in buying products. I love your videos, my hair is freaking me out in Canada after moving from Jamaica.
Great informative vid...as per usual. Also... I'm here for the hair care but your skinnnnn!! It is very much giving me glass and I'm here for ittt!! Feel free to toss in a skin care vid if you haven't already. Much love 💕
Girl...I live for your videos! They're so informative and so in depth. LITERALLY so eye-opening, thank youuuuuuu
Fantastic video, I have high porosity, fine kinky coils hair, and live in London Uk, which means I can relate so well to what you discuss. You have spoken to the very heart of me . Thank you for being so knowledgeable and helpful, I have been binge watching all day🤗🥰😄
"So I lefted on for an hour" it is the guilty face for me lol !
Olaplex 3 is just a slightly diluted version of Olaplex 2. Also another good bond repair is L'Oreal Paris EverPure Bond Repair Pre Shampoo. I know it says pre shampoo but it’s a strengthening protein hair treatment used after you shampoo
Olaplex is litt🔥🔥🔥🔥 and they need to give us more for the money especially for Afro hair
I'm also curious about your take on Curlsmith Rehab Salve. Thanks!
As I'm transitioning I definitely use the #0 and #3. It's helping a lot to prevent breakage 💕
The only thing I noticed it does not give me the slip like my prepoo treatment does.
I might have to switch to a Co wash (camille rose of course 💕) and then proceed to a conditioner (camille rose of course 💕) to give me tons of slip. My hair needs that to help with the detangle process.
Thanks you I was looking for a good detailed review I bought number 0 and 3 today! Cant wait you use it!
This vid was so Dope !!! I appreciate it was quick, informative and to the point! I have also subscribed!
Your videos are so much fun to watch! ...I have only used Olaplex 3, now I’m super curious about trying it in conjunction with the 0.
So happy you posted, I've been waiting!!! Anything you recommend I buy!
Hello, just want to find out if the Olaplex worked for you.
You are so brilliant and you actually do the research for us. Thank you so much.
Great question I also would love to know the answer too
Love ur videos .... Very well explained 👍
If you could do a step by step in terms of what order to do everything in. Do you shampoo after the treatment and then condition or what?
Love your channel. I Just purchased #0 and #3. I will be two weeks into my flat press and am not sure if I should wash let it air dry then apply the product. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated?
Fops OMG! I am off to buy number 0. I have had the number 3 sitting in my storage box for several months!! Who knew this was excellent for natural hair types also. I always associated Olaplex with bleached or chemically treated hair. Thank you so much for doing this video. You are such an angel!
I'm so happy I came across your channel! I absolutely LOVE your truths. So on point! Thank you! 😁
When i completed the quizz on their website, it did not recommend the number 0. So glad because then I just spend all my 💵 on the number 3.
Hey, hey, thanks for this review! I've been looking at this product for some time now wondering how it worked, so thanks 🙌🏾
Ps: you speak ever so eloquently & that always keeps me glued whenever you're on! Love it 🤩
I am a 3C/4A girl, I have used Olaplex 3 especially before I color my hair. I love it. I am planning on buying the 0 when I buy another bottle of the 3. Oh yeah I am high porosity.
Nice! What has your experience been with it?
@@AfopeAtoyebi my hair use to be so hard and brittle after I dyed it, so I use olaplex before I dye and for a couple of wash days after and my hair is so soft and juicy. It prepares my hair to receive my moisturizering leave Ins and deep conditioners.
can you please do a video on maintaining moisture through the winter season?
Your videos are my new favorite, so much amazing info! I've been using the #3 alone with good results, but have never combined the #0. I'm eyeing the curlsmith bond repair though... please review that one?
I'd be interested in hearing your opinion on the curlsmith version of bond repair. I just tried olaplex one weekend and curlsmith's this weekend and I think I'm siding with curlsmith from now on. Would love to hear your thoughts, experience and scientific perspective 😊
I have 3c/4a, normal to low porosity.
Hi what are your thoughts on the differences between this product and the aphogee protein treatment?
So glad you did this! I've also been waiting. I already posted but super low porosity hair and it works well for me and I've been recommending it. It's expensive and I don't know many people with high porosity hair so I had been sitting here waiting for this video from you so I could definitely recommend it to the people who come to me for hair stuff. Yasss!
Thanks!
How often should I use this treatment ?
Hey could u review the curlsmith bond treatment too! They claim their product is equal to the olaplex treatment
Exactly, I hope she does! The price is ridiculous. They need to increase the size or something.
I wonder how this would work for Low Porosity hair. 🤔💭
Great video and very informative.
Thank you.! You saves me so much money. I was going to order everything. 😊
Please do a video on hair vitamins/ hair gummies like sugar bear hair❣️
FYI! Each Christmas Ulta.com sales an Olaplex 3 pack (Number 3, 4, and 5) for 28.00 at Ulta. No 4 is shampoo and No 5 is conditioner. It like getting 4 and 5 for free.
Super helpful Gurl... :Loved it, and your humour throughout!!! Thank you for your in depth and honest review.X
Olaplex is awesome! I love it! Thank you for the video sis!
Thanks for this just got 0 cant wait to try with 3, love your videos x
Wow, really surprised the ingredients bit!!
I only use the olaplex n3, and I also leave it in for an hour or more. mostly because I get distracted cleaning while masking
have you tested the K18 treatment? I'd be very interested in your opinion on this particular product!! Please please pleaaaaaaaaaaaaseeee????
Have you tried Cocoblack products?
I'm sooooo excited
Had my knotless braids in too long (8 weeks). Have high porosity hair. Going to try olaplex when I'm ready to take my braids down. Thoughts?
finally an olaplex video that actually explains and shows the difference.
i just recently ordered the new no.
I checked out alove4me YT channel as well and between these two reviews I purchased and wow 🥰 First use and like you I saw a significant drop in broken hairs on the floor, basin and shower floor.
Thank u sooo much for your videos! I have been natural for 9 years now but just found out I have high porosity hair. I also have fine hair. My hair is bra strap length down my back but shoulder length curly. I want to grow it longer so it's past my shoulders curly. I'm gonna use your tips to help grow my hair longer. I've never heard of Olaplex but I will try it now to strengthen my fine but thick hair. Thanks again!!!
