Because I'm not, nor can I go and hold down someone and accuse them of using and being a fraud. What I can do is give my love and support to people who are struggling with similar mental health issues and hope that they do the right thing. Ultimately we can't make any decisions for anyone but ourselves. I'm sorry if any of this seems insensitive to your situation and honestly hope your doing okay bud.

Got 4 years myself off heroin. This whole lifestyle is so normalised, I can remember being at the park seeing kids drinking and smoking weeds and it was an instant reminder of me when I was there age. Nobody told me or my mates hey you should pull back on this stuff while you're young. The amount of my mates that I skated with who went onto hard drugs and crime ,mental health issues is so high. Fred Gall was on the cover of the first Thrasher magazine I ever got. Then saw him in Eastern Exposure 2. To know that one of my most favorite skaters has been through the same shit as me. Well makes me think of how many others have to. Glad we are all still here.
Right?! Freddy’s such an amazingly caring person who was able to overcome his flaws. I always think about when he rushed in to a burning building to save people that he didn’t even know. Selfless and brave. Bruce Springsteen should write a song about Freddy. The world is lucky to have him.

My heroin sober date is May 19, 2019. I was a full blown lost boy. I was using needles, public rehabs/clinics, methadone and a stroke is what finally got me out and started the real change.
I'm a skater and a recovering addict. Thanks so much Fred. I think of all the times to come out and make an impact this is a vital time. I am not in any way talking shit but I think (and I think many others would agree) that Phelper and Monk most likely passed away due to opiates. And it's sad man. It didn't need to happen. So many skaters have lives that can easily put them in line to become addicts and alcoholics. Congrats Fred on being sober and having your life back!

This gives me hope. That there is still a purpose for me. Not braggin but I started skating when I was 13-14 (my board was taken away from me at like 9 over a head concussion, wtvr..) I'm still a skater, and will die a skater. Idk, I'm trying to beat my alcohol addiction. I hate it

It's hard for him because what he was saying was making him emotional and he was going to cry as he spoke. So he stopped himself. Didn't hear the repeated line in the video.
Skating and drinking is like a 50 50 or rather a nose grind...you have to balance not too much of the drinks or drugs more skating because the more u party instead of skate....it will get to the point where the skatin becomes second priority when it should be everything love mr fred always likes his style ....ive been there..its not fun
