Group Crawl at Badlands: Sgt Rock goes down and I have an Accident!

- This past weekend had me and the guys going to a place called the Badlands out near Canyon Lake in East Mesa Az. I'm pretty sure it's called the Badlands because the rock is pretty shot and crumbles easily.
There was a nice size group out there with a lot of rigs I've never seen before and I even met some first time channel viewers!
About an hour into the crawl Sgt Rock had taken a spill and fell between two big rocks about six feet down. I had put down all my gear to climb down and recover it, but when I had planted my left foot to climb out of the drop off the crumbly rock gave way and I fell another six feet backwards!
I ended upside down in a bush and it was a good thing the bush was there to catch me because there was another 25 foot drop off after that! I ended up pretty scratched up, bruised and sore but alright for the most part. Thanks to the great guys out there that helped my climb out of the crevasse and gave me a first aid patch up I tried to continue on with the crawling but my day was over.
Lesson learned: If you go out crawling and climbing the rocks don't go alone, watch your footing and be careful out there! thanks for watching and be sure to come back for more Cactus Crawlers RC!

Thanks Country, it was a pretty good group out there and was fun until I fell down the rocks! It was only the second time I had been to this spot, I'll be better prepared in the future!

Thanks Ricky! Yeah the soreness is better after the weekend and only the deepest scratches are still tender! Thanks Mark! I'm feeling much better today just going to have some scratches for a couple of weeks. You're right about not being 20 anymore, I'm going to have to watch myself better in the future! @CactusCrawlersRC I fell backwards in the creek last fall got soaked filming and driving can be treacherous lol all that road rash looks like it's going to sting for awhile
@@AdventureTimeRC yeah, it's still stinging a week later! A couple of times I've backed into a cactus or cholla trying to get a good shot, this can be a hazardous hobby brother!

@@CactusCrawlersRC badlands is bad about loose rock in some spots. Lol but the best lines are alwase in the worst areas haha

Yeah I’m often like I shouldn’t have walked thereto film my toy or feed my addiction lol.
Fell few years back slipped filmin on leaves and fell on a little stump like 1” thick tree I had cut 6” in the thigh no puncture but couldn’t walk for a few….was real bummer
