Group Crawl at Waterwheel Falls Hiking Trail in Payson, Arizona

- The crew had decided to travel to Payson (about an hour and a half North of Phoenix) to crawl at a place called Waterwheel Falls Hiking Trail. We decided to run our G6 rigs which are mostly hardbody trucks although one member of the crew had brought out the new Vanquish H10 Optic buggy! We started out on some awesome trails and there were plenty of obstacles to crawl, but as we got closer to the waterfalls the rocks became much more challenging and it would have been a great place to also run our hardliners!
I ran my Element Trailwalker with the Mojave hardbody and Sendero truggy cage with a scale Kawasaki dirt bike in the bed. After a while I ended up removing the dirt bike so that I could take on the harder lines! It was a great day and I will definitely be back again to crawl Waterwheel Falls!

Thanks Brent! Yeah I agree, the hardbodies are definitely better for scale and I love the way they wear and patina naturally! This was our first time at this spot and I plan to go back again with a hardliner rig to get some of those hardcore lines!

Thanks Mark! I'm not sure about the rest of the country but the American Southwest sure is pretty rocky! That was our first time at that location and it was a great test for the Hilux hardbody rigs, I'll probably go back with something more capable! how do i get in the know of these runs? i would have loved to gone to payson! haha
I get word from my bud Frank Rizzo who will call me and let me know what and where the groups are planning to meetup. He will keep a close eye on what the groups are planning on Facebook like the North Valley Crawlers. This trip was last minute and I didn't hear about it until Thursday!
