After testing all frontends that are out there, ES-DE is the one I keep coming back to. Best frontend, simple, clean, great themes.... Keep up the good work.
Superb video! Ive only been using ES-DE for a week but I’m having a great time and learning a lot! Can I suggest a new sorting option of HW TYPE, MANFACTURER, REL YEAR. I’m going to do this via the custom way of sorting, but it’d be great to have this option built in. Best wishes.
Is there a way to jump from … for exemple… 1 manufactor to another? or a dropdown list of all and select to go strait to the one that we want? if we have a big collections of systems its annoying to go through every single one
any idea why colecovision does not show up in my games? I can open it manually with retroarch using gamegear emulator but ES_DE for Android does not show that Colecovision even exists when I move through the systems. I have it working on my rgb30 (linux) and Rog Ally (windows) so I have the correct folders/roms and bios. It just does not show up on this android edition. Please help!
the details in our android documentation may help: gitlab.com/es-de/emulationstation-de/-/blob/master/ANDROID.md?ref_type=heads#supported-game-systems Also please join our discord - we can try to help more there.
How would I add the sorting metadata for a custom system? Would I have to add it in the xml and custom sort everything else? edit: Also curious if it's possible to access the sorting metadata for themes in order to add system release year to the systems view
Hello ES-DE How did you put the Sega M2 bios on EmulationStation? was it under android because I bought your APK and there is no Sega M2, M3 or Openbor emulator etc... Thank you in advance for your help
Great question, I was running this demo on PC where Model 2 and Model 3 are supported emulators which is why they displayed. On Android I am not aware of an emulator that supports Model 2 and Model 3 so those systems will not show up on android due to that. the full list of supported emulators on android can be found here: gitlab.com/es-de/emulationstation-de/-/blob/master/ANDROID.md?ref_type=heads#supported-game-systems

And rather importantly, cross platform!
Thank you! Great guide! Will try in the morning lol.

tks for sharing. By the way, does ES DE support run BGM (background music like Batocera/Emuelec)?
it doesn’t support background music yet, however it is in our roadmap to add - gitlab.com/es-de/emulationstation-de/-/blob/master/ROADMAP.md
@@ES-DE_Frontend it's good, hope it will be supported soon

Hi, is there a guide about how to add custom systems?
there are good details in our documentation located here: gitlab.com/es-de/emulationstation-de/-/blob/master/INSTALL.md#es_find_rulesxml
@@ES-DE_Frontend thank you so much. I am trying to also get the flash game Abobo's Big Adventure running as well! Haha it's tough
I'd love it if you could add a retroachievements widget.
its on our roadmap to consider!

you can use the custom sorting method mentioned and apply and custom sort preferred through that method

thank you! playtime is on our roadmap and something we’ll explore adding - gitlab.com/es-de/emulationstation-de/-/blob/master/ROADMAP.md
