the theme you are using will determine what shows up as the primary artwork - so please check what theme you are using and see if it supports displaying the art you are wanting to display. you will not need to scrape again.

@@ES-DE_Frontendthe thing is most of the themes are showing it like that. But for example on the Noir theme it used to just show me the box art, now its showing box art, cartridge, screenshot and title. I just want the boxart is there something i gotta turn off to just show box art?

yes you can replace the pdf manually to change it to whatever you like

are you asking how to select alternative emulators for a given system? open the main menu and go to other settings you’ll see a menu item for alternative emulators and you can change the default there

@ I thankyou and I have done that but it will let me change the emulator but there is a settings symbol at the side of new emulator and it asks me if I’m sure it’s installed and it is it’s the kin hank super console pro x 5 not a pc then nothing loads it’s ok I will figure it at some point thankyou

pressung the power button to sleep will work. otherwise es-de acts similarly to an android game or video app.

@@ES-DE_Frontend thanks! I was hoping there was a hidden setting. Perhaps you guys could add a feature to disable that in the future, as Android devices won't typically want to stay on.

sorry, i am not sure on solid explorer differences.

i fixed it but its a bit weird so get Your SD card out and put it inside the pc go to your rom folder in the pc then you need to create the same folder but don't create a normal folder create (a text file) afterwards open the text file and put your game code like in the video and then save.(afterwards the name of your original folder will change to Muramasa Rebirth.psvita.txt) and its bad so change the name back to its original name. Muramasa Rebirth.psvita enter the SD card back and that's it you good to go

How to change it back? It keeps becoming .text for me, and the rename option does not even show the .text​@@ADHTS-c2l

folder is psvita / make sure your text files do not have any spaces or new lines in them

make sure to open ppsspp and browse to. your psp folder / that will set permissions so that es-de can open games

@ES-DE_Frontend actually I need to correct myself, it's all the standalone emulators, NetherSX2, Duckstation, MelonDS, Dolphin and PPSSPP. I have the games running in the respective emulators, when I try launching them from the ES-DE library they all just black screen on the emulator. This happened when I removed the extra folders I had and made the game folders correct to the system like ES-DE likes them then I pointed all the emulators to the correct folders again and checked if they played and they do. I might just need to factory reset my RP4 Pro after I back up the downloaded media and start over.

same problem I have... if I put a Game_title.psvita file ES-DE creates an .xml with the list of games, but by renaming them with the game ID, it rescans the folder at startup and no longer sees any games.. . Obviously.

Solved. The Game_title.psvita text file must be opened, write the game ID number inside it, then save, exit and restart ES-DE. Close you will see that it will work.

you can use the custom sorting method mentioned and apply and custom sort preferred through that method

all emulators (including cemu) need to be installed and managed separately. es-de does not bundle emulators.

there is a folder called psvita in /ROMs (or you can that folder if it doesnt exist). then install the games in vita3k and then follow the instructions in this video to create shortcuts for each game.

yes agreed the direct download for RA on android is the only version we recommend for that platform. play store version is outdated.

@ES-DE_Frontend no dear black screen when quit a game launched from emulation station , then when just quit the game to navigate the station games menu , nope it is black although i hear the game sounds, I did exactly as u said but no use and I am starting to pull my hair out :) , to know I am using rog ally x and emudeck is installed on SD microcard not the main harde drive of the device like steam is ...

sorry emudeck is a custom setup that is maintained by that team. you will first need to check with the emudeck team as they may have implemented customizations that are causing what you are seeing.

it creates a separate text file that stores the name of files that were not scraped. i turn it off because i don’t use it as part of my set up.

@@ES-DE_Frontend thank you! Games that weren't scraped because there was no data in the database? Or games that you skipped? Do you know if anyone has a use for this?

its possible this may be related to case insensitivity. we have a fix for that coming in the next version soon

@@ES-DE_Frontend I figured it out. Using the same folder app you have, created the files and pasted the id in them. Only to find out that it pasted to text on the second line. It's resolved now but thank you for trying to help a random person on the net!

yes it can! the good news is the output from this process is universally useable across all es-de platforms (the xml and media files work the same across all es-de platforms)

yes skraper calls screenscraper for its data
