Garuda has a fantastic reputation and recently won an award for having the worlds best airline cabin crew. In todays video, I give you a detailed look into what a domestic flight is like with them, and if its worth the steep price.

Honestly Garuda Indonesia is a great airline. We just have horrible management which means bad money management and therefore leading to bankruptcy. And because of that, Garuda has had to retire tons of aircraft and have their current aircraft operating in poor conditions. Last week i flew on their flagship 777 and the power plug was just loosely hanging under the seat and one of the overhead bins flew open upon touchdown

Wow, you flying on Garuda Indonesia and to my hometown 😄. I would say that you got the new seat padding because I rarely see that type of padding in Garuda’s B737 before and yes I’d say that the price is pretty affordable for such a flight (especially because I had many many flights in this route before. I hope you enjoy ur visit in my hometown 👍😁 (and well the IFE is rather outdated and a bit disappointing)

Btw for your question about Japanese gov B777 plane is there with Emperor and Empress Naruhito from Japan who visit Yogyakarta at june at the same time with you in the video. He stay there at mid june in Kraton Yogyakarta (Sultan Yogyakarta Palace) and meet with Sultan Yogyakarta, Hamenku Buwono X.

If you travel domestically in Indonesia, I would suggest you to use Citilink as they are more affordable. Garuda is still the best in Indonesia though. For whatever reasons, don’t use any airplanes from Lion group.
Yeah everyone seems to say that! I will certainly consider trying them next time I go to Indonesia. Haha I don't blame you.
@@Aviation763 there’s also another airlines called Pelita Air. It’s actually an old one, owned by Pertamina (one of Indonesia’s state-owned enterprises), but it’s way rejuvenated now. I haven’t tried theirs recently but it looks great from the videos I’ve seen.
@@fadhilhm Yeah, I actually booked on them but they changed my flight by like 5 hours so I had to change plans... Hopefully I'll get to try both Citilink and Pelita Air in the future!
