Nice, I got all the same stuff, same colors mostly. Black and red themed. About go do this up, wish me luck and thanks for the vid!

I took the black base off. Marked the bottom of the white gears first. Had to pop middle one off a couple times before it lined back up. Made it easier to me to get the silver pieces off.
Also. The plastic welds, take a oscillating saw and knock the round tops off. Makes it alot easier to drill out after that.

Suggestion...Everytime you touch the green card ( cca ) you should be grounded and discharge all of your static electricity in your body...even the smallest voltage in your body, might destroy your components in your cca, such a capacitors, resistors etc.

I think the silver trim piece below the shift know looks really out of place with everything else in that area blacked out

Thats called a bevel and they make a black piece to replace it. Not sure why he didn't get it.

@@briarfox637 i have it... thats why I'm wondering... why black it all out and leave one piece out

@@jameshovey8301 My thoughts exactly. I still need to get the chrome delete package from AJT. The only color will be the pineapple grenade shift knob I bought.

I want to get that shifter knob but I don't know if I can justify spending $110 on it

Same, I just can’t pull the trigger on it

@@GeorgeZimmermen i ended up doing it lol. I figure I’m redoing the entire interior anyway, may as well go all out. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re only looking for a shifter knob though

What tool did you use to remove the climate control part of the dash?

Note to Toyota. Get rid of that dumbass shifter altogether. It's a relic from the past. It's to damn big and it's in the way! It blocks the forward cup holder, that little tray and the USB ports and basically uses up most of the console. Do a shift knob just like the 4 wheel knob then put them both along with the start button where we can see them.

They got rid of it.....but unfortunately there's not much shifting going on in the new Tundras since so many are sitting at the dealerships waiting for repairs.

This kit costs over $300 for a bunch of plastic pieces. It’s ridiculously overpriced. I still can’t pull the trigger on it. If they dropped the price significantly I would

    • @thebigempty_5792

You obviously have never been to the parts counter at ANY dealership or shopped online for genuine OEM parts. Example: Drivers side grab bar which was deleted on the Tundra for some odd reason. It's just a bunch of plastic pieces and a couple of bolts - $233.00 / 169.99 at Sparksparts LOL Using that justification, nothing would get purchased. I purchased the black out emblem overlay kit from Toyota. It's just stick on black plastic that goes over the chrome, but they fit great and no chrome is visible: 146.00 for probably 2.00 worth of plastic/3m tape.
AJT designed these parts, make them right here in the USA and they fit like a glove. They are of a much higher quality than the plastic pieces they replace. Yes, they are plastic, what do you guys want, titanium? Unobtanium?

@@thebigempty_5792 yeah and all those dealership parts and OEM parts are overpriced too! All of it is.
