I have never before been nervous for a video going up….and this one has had me on pins and needles. It’s so much sharing…lol. I’ve put a few of the items I use everyday down-in the description- I have so many other helpers but these are items I just wouldn’t want to do without. Thanks so much for watching and I appreciate you all and your kindness!❤
Beautiful Kathrin, thank you so much for sharing. As women we know the struggles. I know I have and still do. You’ve inspired me to find my joy in eating healthy again. You look incredible! Your cheekbones are envy worthy! Thank you for all you do! ❤️
Goodmorning Kathrin!! I am so proud of you- for your journey, for your optimism and for sharing with us. I would like to see the scale at 145- 155, for myself. ( It " barked at me" this morning at 189.50...lol) You're giving me inspiration, Kathrin- thank you so much, for that...💕
Thank you for sharing!! 😊😊😊 Your story is inspiring. You are amazing, truly a beautiful person. Thank you for taking a chance and trusting us with your story. 😘
Yes, yes, yes, yes, please make more videos about your journey. I don’t have enough words to say how amazing you are and how wonderful your story is! I was crying right along with you. I am on my weight loss journey, again, and I would love to follow along. Thank you for the motivation to get off of my couch tonight and take a walk. 😘
Thank you so much for sharing your personal journey! As someone that is around your age, weight, & struggles with health issues, I feel that i can sympathize/empathize with you and I appreciate your brutal honesty. It was probably scary to share this information, but I appreciated it and it was very meaningful to me personally. Thank you!
This video was wonderful. Thank you. I lost weight by walking and counting points. I lost about a pound a week which was fine. You are a very special lady. I have been watching your videos for a long time. I am 68. Hugs
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for this. I liked your videos before, but have so much respect for you for putting yourself out there. I lost 65 lbs over the past year on WW. My catalysts: I couldn't walk a NY block without stopping to catch my breath and I left the wedding dress store crying because no mother of the groom dress fit. I had to settle for a heavy dark dress because it sucked me in. I love WW! Love the youtube cheats, love the free fruits and veggies, love the free tofu (my only free so I have 27 points to fool around with).. And it works! The weight that's been accumulating for 30 years finally came off. I work out 3X a week have a trainer and walk. Congratulations on your hard earned weight loss. I'm walking with you in spirit on your journey. Your husband is a gem! And thank you sooo much for sharing! 🥰 *hugs*
Thanks so much. I felt incredibly vulnerable doing this! Congrats on your loss too. That’s amazing. I am loving the new WW program. I love the relaxed feel of foods I don’t have to weigh and measure and if I’m out with friends for lunch and only have a couple, points left. I can still pull off dinner with very few points. What are the TH-cam Cheats?
@@kathrinmccarty6784 Kathrin, I'm in awe of you! That's quite a weight loss. It takes real determination day after day. We all fall down, we all get up and go on. The youtube cheats went back to the green/blue/purple days. People posted their supermarket hauls which is where I learned the point values of a lot of things I never would have thought of. Like turkey pepperoni, who knew? Or a wedge of Laughing Cow on two light wasa breads was only 2 points. I had 30 points as a green and lost a lot when WW restructured their eating plans, but on the forum I learned that making tofu ( which I happen to love anyway) my zero point food got me 27 points. I like the freedom of more points so it's worked for me. If I'm eating out, I'll have tofu in the air fryer for lunch and enjoy dinner and a drink! I love WW for this!
Thank you so much for sharis this. I have struggled for YEARS! I wish i could get a control on my weight. I appreciate you sharing this and feel it has stired a spark up to try again!
I’m so glad it struck a chord with you. It’s a battle I’ve been fighting recently, since menopause I seem to have really started to struggle to lose and finding the right formula has been a tad more difficult. But sticking with it is what’s getting me there! It’s a constant struggle isn’t it!
You are such a beautiful soul Kathrin 💖We are all so blessed to come across your channel. Thank you for being one of the most genuine TH-camrs with the biggest and most honest heart. You make all feel so welcome and we are honored to be your fans, friends and followers🌸💜✝️ many prayers and blessings always for you.
Metabolism is such a personal thing. I think that's why some plans work for some people and not for others. I am overweight at 200 and my MS makes exercise almost impossible. People give me unsolicited advice all the time. I applaud you for recognizing what works for you, and, what doesn't.
I too have had so much advice through the years, eat less, exercise more, more carbs, fewer carbs, less fruit, fast..etc. I’ve done it ALL. honestly, I think All of it. And I have had to change what works for me over the last 30+ years. With age it changes. So yes, we all have to do our best, find what works for us and allow the same in others.
Oh Kathrin , I'm so proud of you - I also have been on Weight watchers 4 times - IT DOES WORK - my 1st time was after I had my Daughter and I lost 55 pounds - then My 2nd time - I lost 47 pounds - then 3rd time - I lost the least 14pds - this last time - not knowing As I had ballooned up to 243 pounds very quickly- I had my wellness check up & found out I had Hypothyroidism which is why I was gaining so much so quickly , My primary Dr put me on Thyriod meds almost 2 years ago and It helped some what loss some - but I've started gaining again - plus I'm having major back surgery Oct 17, 2022 So I see my primary Dr for a OK to be put under for general anaistis - but also tell him I'm gaining weight again & have became more emotional and not as active . I plan on starting w/w again once air heal from this new fusion in my back . Thank you SO MUCH TO HAVE OTHERS HELP GET US THROUGH THIS TOGETHER- YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL KATHRIN . GOD BLESS YOU . PLEASE DO THIS I KNOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD FIND THIS SO HELPFUL . BIG HUGS JOSETTE THARP MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TEXAS 🙏
Kathrine thank you so much for sharing! I need to lose about 150lbs and I’m terrified that I will never take that jump to start. I feel like there’s such a long way to go that I’ll never get there. You and the others who commented have really inspired me! I am already signed up for WW and am going to get healthier! (BTW… I’m right there with you regarding ice cream. Lol!). Portion control will be my initial challenge. Thank you for telling your story, girl! Im excited to start this journey! ❤
When I tell you you can get there….I’m serious. I know that daunting task and looking down the barrel at 200 pounds and thinking how could I ever. But you can. And it may take a couple years. Heck maybe 3. But the whole time your losing and feeling better about each stage you go through and in the end…when you look back on the loss, it’ll have gone so fast. I promise! You can do this!
Please please more of these! More what u eat, what u do and ur WW journey!! Thank u for this. So inspirational. I’m almost 400 lbs and starting again. I needed to hear this and am so glad I came across your channel.
You should be so proud of yourself. It's a struggle. I've been up and down for years. Thank you for sharing your story. You're beautiful inside and out. Don't ever let anyone tell you different. ❤️
Thank you! I needed to hear this. I am facing 60 next month and I need to lose 35 pounds. I am going to think of you and these wise words and I’m going to do it.
Kathryn I knew there was a reason I felt connected to you. I had no idea about the weight loss journey but I always felt very connected to you somehow with your unboxing. I enjoy that as well but I’m so glad you talked about this. I too, am at about 200 lbs but I had gained up to almost 260. I actually lost down to about 170 but tend to get back to the 200 range. I struggle daily and fear gaining. Your sharing is so welcome to me and so much appreciated. Please do more of these. I’m all ears about any suggestions you might have because I would love to be around 175. I have health issues as well but it’s in my joints. I’ve had a knee replacement and I’m fighting like crazy to keep from having my other one replaced. My form of exercise has to be walking and no rigorous, crazy stuff. Thank you so much beautiful lady for opening up about it. I have three grandsons and I would like to stick around for them awhile!❤️
You handled all of this with such grace and I found it so helpful. The fact that you have a gem for a husband...all the better. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
Thank you for sharing! I lost a lot of weight also on WW and have maintained for about 4 years. I subscribed to your channel because you were so open about your journey. I love your openness! Thank you again. Blessings!
Your new blog should be "Join My Journey" or. Kathrin's Journey Continues" Proud of. your successes! Keep moving forward as lots of people need to read and follow your non judgementalr inspiration!
I literally just got off the phone with my son talking him about exactly THIS struggle. I also was over 300 at my heaviest and had something click that I can't explain where I will not allow myself to get over a certain number. Proud of you and thank you for sharing something so vulnerable ❤️
Yay! This is so inspiring to hear your story and the amount you lost. I do Weight Watchers for 18 months now, and have lost 62 lbs and I have about 60 more to lose. That total will be half my starting weight. In the past, I would lose then drop off the plan before goal; only to gain it all back and more. This time I am committed to just keep going no matter what and no matter how long it takes. I feel, it's all in the mindset, just like you said. I'd love to see more videos about your weight loss journey! I'd like to see food hauls, see what you eat, recipes, tips to keep motivated.
I thought I couldn't love your channel more..until today! Wow!! Thank you so much for sharing your journey and vulnerabilities. I was struck by your comment that we see ourselves differently in the mirror than others see us. I am so right there at this moment. It's been encouraging to me to keep going. I'm the only one in my house dieting and as a mom and wife it can feel lonely and isolating. I think a channel dedicated to that topic is what so many of us need. Not that I don't have support but there isn't a true understanding of my journey. However a community of us would be so uplifting. ❤️
Thank you so much Jamey! I think that’s the main reason I want to do it on a separate channel. We could have a community to relate to. My husband was amazing but he wasn’t doing it. He wasn’t facing the same challenges and feelings. We need to relate to people who are navigating like journeys!
Kathrin, I cried along with you. How amazing that you were able to lose so much weight. I struggle to lose 10 lbs. Thank you for sharing your journey. Looking forward to hearing more. This might be the push that I need.
Thank you for being so vulnerable. I’ve been watching you because of your sweet spirit and will continue to watch no matter what you talk about! Just love hearing from you!😂❤
Thank you for your willingness to be vulnerable and transparent. You rock! I, too, am struggling with my weight. It ballooned up when my husband was in hospice, dying from cancer. I have rejoined WW for the umpteenth time. I laughed when you shared with how many times you joined. That could have been my story. You are a delight. Thank you again for sharing your story. I have decided that this is the year I get my weight back to normal.
I understand you Kathryn! God bless you!! I'm struggling with my weight and I have been for about 13yrs, but I've had other times in my life that I've had to lose a serious amount of weight and I could and I did. This past 13 years is different for me because I'm now disabled so I can't exercise so well like I used to. I'm facing having to have a gastric bypass and this is so extreme and scary to me, but I'm physically unwell, including pre-diabetes, hypertension, and several other illnesses. I'm going to be 51 next week and I'm heavier than ever at 253 lbs, so I've got to do what I have to do.
I’m sure it’s a difficult decision. I have some back issues that periodically make it impossible to work out and it makes it so much harder to lose. So while I am not in your shoes I can empathize! I pray you’ll find the decision that is best for you ❤️
You know how your body works best. This is such a hard thing to deal with because food is such an intricate part of our lives. Thank you for being so real and vulnerable, you are so brave
Kathrin, if you weren't already my favorite pandemic discovered You Tuber, this video would have shot you straight to the top of my list. Thank you for being brave enough to share your story. I'm sure it's striking a chord with thousands who completely understand and appreciate your journey. I really only have three more words for you...You Go Girl!!!👍❤🎉
Bravo to you! 👏 Talking about our “weight” is tough. I too have joined Weight Watchers many, many times. It is a great program as long as you follow it……staying on it is so hard when on vacations, holidays, etc. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for sharing your story my friend! This may be the story I needed. My high was 306. I dropped down to 130 but looked sickly. I sat around 165 for a decade. But since the pandemic I’ve become very sedentary and gained too much. I’ll join you on this and I hope we both have wonderful success! Can’t wait to subscribe to the new channel!
I too became too sedentary during the pandemic. That is how I let it get Away from me a bit this time. The thing I have to remember and should have absolutely addressed, it was just getting so long is…. I feel so much better. Omgosh with cutting sugar and exercising I easily have twice the energy.
I have not been on your weight loss journey but I admire you so much for being vulnerable and creating this video. I have struggles of my own that even though they’re not exactly as yours, I understand so well. Everything will be OK. ❤
This is the first time I came across one of your videos. I absolutely loved hearing about your story. It’s incredibly inspiring. I would love to see more videos about your journey and what you’re doing to get there. I now have about 30 pounds to lose to be at my personal best but am struggling with just losing 1 pound. I know from previous successes that these types of videos inspire me and help me take one step forward. Thank you for sharing your story and I hope to see others about your journey. Good luck.
Loud round of applause for you!! I have always loved your videos and felt like you were the sort of person I would be friends with. Now I know you are! You are so brave to share your story with all of us!! So many of us have weight loss struggles and journeys. It is encouraging to hear about successes! Keep up the great work. I believe in celebrating the wins , but accepting we are not perfect and NOT judging ourselves when we slip.
Kathrin, I just love you! I’ve enjoyed your videos since the first one I watched, and I could listen to you talk about grass growing!!!! I cried throughout this entire video because you are so inspiring. Your changed your whole life!!!! You made a new future for yourself, and that’s an incredibly hard thing to do. I loved listening to you talk about your husband….what a great guy.
Thanks so much Rebecca. It did truly change every aspect of my life… And my hubs…he’s my rock and would never have wanted to do any of this without him!M
I have watched alllll of your FabFitFun videos and just started weight watchers this year. This video hits home and is truly inspiring. Love seeing you so real.
I am so happy you shared your story. Be proud of what you have accomplished. I am so proud of you for keeping your weight off. That is not easy. I am in my own weight loss battle 70 pounds down & going. I find inspiration in your story & hope that I too can make it to my healthy goal. 100 more pounds to go. I’m doing Optivia and it is the only thing I have found that I can stick with & feel great.
Just had you pop up on my feed, and oh my gosh, I could listen to you all day. You have the most relaxing voice and I feel like I'm sitting with my best friend. Congratulations on losing so much weight. I am almost 48, in perimenopause and sitting at about 80 lbs over weight. I feel helpless because it's s constant battle. I need whatever click that was that you had but haven't found it. Hoping there are so many more videos!! I'm a new subscriber for sure!❤
We, thank you so much that’s so nice of you to say! It is indeed a constant battle! I fight it everyday. Perimenopause and then menopause add such an added degree of difficulty! It feels like no matter how much I exercise or reduce consumption… I just can’t lose these days. But I’ll keep up the fight!
Im so proud of you!! I need to lose about 100lbs. I lost it before on keto and gained it back. I had the same body dysmorphia. I could not see my thinner body. I love your calming voice. You are such a light!! Im in VA. We are neighbors.
Kathrin…sweetie…you’re telling my story. I haven’t thankfully had heart issues but I’ve always said in my life I’ve lost a million pounds. Unfortunately I’ve gained a million and one. I’ve tried it all as well. WW, Starving myself….in my twenties….no more of that craziness, Gloria Marshall every single day, every diet out there…I tried it. The best one I found was L.A, Weightloss. Lost 80 pounds. It came back 🙄. Now I’m stressing weight off. In the last couple of months I’ve lost 43 pounds. I’m not mad at it but stress dieting isn’t fun. Just have no appetite. Said all that to say…I’m VERY proud of you and whatever it was that clicked…thank God for it! And the arms…oh LORD girl we must be related. Mine are saggy too. Three quarter length sleeves always! My lowest weight was 152. And yes. I felt fat and couldn’t see the loss. It’s weird. But if I’d see a picture of myself I could see it. Crazy how your brain just sees you. Not fat, not skinny, just you🤷🏻♀️ In any event you GO girl! Very VERY happy you’ve taken control! 💪🏻😉
Hi Elizabeth 😊 I’m with you…I can’t imagine how many total pounds I have lost through the years. Yes, a stress diet sounds…stressful. Thanks so much. Yea, my arms well technically my thighs too…lol…have given up all hope. Isn’t it weird that we can’t see the weight loss in ourselves but if a friend drops 5 pounds we can see it instantly…lol
I also have been on WW years ago and now I’m thinking of rejoining. You are such an inspiration so thank you. I look forward to watching more of your videos
Thank you for your vulnerability and trusting us to share your story. Sending you all the hugs and love. We will celebrate all your successes and continue to be by your side.
You are to be commended for your honesty... I just started with WW two days ago age 60 plus. I am starting out at 337. I did WW back in the 80’s, so this new point system is awesome.. I am more aware of portions this time with my eating program. I don’t feel deprived with the point system. Here’s to 2024 getting healthy, obtaining knowledge of becoming healthy and being happy with lows and highs in life. Enjoy your journey so you can appreciate the designation .
And Absolutely 100% YES!!!!!! Please share more about weight loss, weight watchers, and just more chatty “regular life” stuff too!! But keep doing your wonderful wonderful subscription box unopenings!! I also like daily and weekly vloggers. Have a very very very blessed day Kathryn 🙏🏼👍🥰🙏🏼👍🥰🙏🏼👍🥰
Thank you so much for sharing!!! I think you are awesome. I loved to hear your story. I lost weight for my son's wedding and have been gaining it back. This gave me the encouragment to start again! I would love ideas of your food choices and what you eat in a day... Thank you
You are such an inspiration. Thank you for sharing. I lost 85 pounds about three years ago. The struggle to keep it off is real, but I'm managing to do so. If I have a bad day (or week) of eating, I just have to shrug it off and move on. Sometimes it is hard, but I am so much healthier now. My goal is not to be "thin". My goal is to be healthy and feel good about myself. Much love to you.
Congratulations! I’d argue there is more success in keeping it off. When your losing you’re so focused…but then you have to just live your life. I do the same. Bad days, weeks, even months happen. But getting back in line and eating right gets me back to where I need to be. Love that goal!! 🥰
I ended up losing 18 pounds before my knee replacement in June. It made a huge difference and trust me…it’s painful but I just wish I’d done mine sooner! I wrestled this stupid knee for three years and finally gave in. You’ll be SO happy you took care of it! Best of luck to you! 🙏🏻❤️
@@Elizabeth-tb5wh thx! I had the surgery, had to wait for COVID to calm at hospital. It went great. Now I am losing and it’s because I can walk/ exercise. Thank you!!🌸🌸🌸
Oh great! That’s the reason I put mine off so long as well. Covid was raging when my knee really got bad so I just had to wait. Glad you are on the mend! ❤️
Congratulations on your continued loss, not an easy thing to do. I follow Jenn Ww journey, she’s lost over 120 and she has amazing dinner idea and new snack choices. Thanks Lizbeth
Bravo! Been on a life long diet also. Did Cambridge meal shake at about 13 years old. Awful stuff lol. Mid 50’s too. They are good tears and we love to share those. Keep on keeping on. Thank you for being so brave and sharing your vulnerabilities
Kathrin, you are one of the most generous, vulnerable women I've ever "met." I feel so lucky to have you in my life and feel, strangely, that we're friends. Thank you for everything you do, say, and give. 💗
Oh Kathrin I am with you all the way. I just started WW and am doing it online which is probably not the best way for me. I just moved and really don't know where to go, but it would make me more accountable with other people. I was down to 118 lbs and now I'm up to to 153. I'm only 5 ft tall, so this is way overweight for me. I gained it slowly from stress and taking care of others. Long story short, I am so angry with myself for doing this. I have severe fibromyalgia and a knee that needs to be replaced so the excersize part is so hard. I use to do my 10,000 steps and work full time, now I'm retired taking care of two disabled people and my husband. So that means alot of cooking cleaning and laundry. I'll pray for you to make your goal and use you as a example that I can do this again too. Now I have to take my sugar too. 63 is not a good age for me, but trying not to get depressed and find a sweet spot for how I get my calories down. P. S. diet caffeine free pepsi is my biggest weakness. Wishing you all the luck in the world!!!❤️
Wow! Thank you for sharing. You're honesty and vulnerability really spoke to me. Really inspiring especially since I"m at the point where my brain needs to kick on and say enough is enough. Feel proud. You are beautiful and your journey is beautiful. It's all a part of you and that makes it perfect.
Thank you for your story. I have always struggled with my weight, except when I got sick due to a bowel obstruction caused by crohn's disease. They had to resect my stomach and intestines. The doctor warned me I would have trouble keeping weight on. That was SO not true. I am now in my early sixties, and am close to 50lbs overweight. I have lost some weight lately, but that is due to more digestive issues, not my willpower. Due to my redesigned system, I can't eat raw or undercooked vegetables, which makes it even more difficult. I have been thinking about trying Weight Watchers after I get my issues sorted out, and am glad to hear your success with their program. Know that we all love you at any weight, and I am proud of your bravery telling your story. People just do not get how difficult it can be.
Oh wow!!! I am so there with you. I am currently doing weight watchers. I also have a heart condition. A-Fib and had a hole in my heart. I have lost 80 pounds. Still have about another 60 to go. This is so helpful to see and hear. Please know that you are making a difference in peoples lives. Please please continue with the videos and information. Also, I would love the what you eat in a day, food hauls, recipe’s, snacks etc. ❤❤❤❤
I wish I could add a heart ❤ instead of thumbs up 👍🏻. You had me in tears and now I love you even more!!! We are very similar in many ways and because of this video … there’s a good chance I try to get healthy and attempt weight watchers. I am 53 yes old, at 243 lbs and have A-Fib, but I also have this painful Fibromyalgia that I feel ruined my life. Now when I watch you and see your smiling face… I will think of you as being on the same “team” I am on. I respect you so highly and wish you all the strength in the world to stay on your path.
Thank you so much! I would love to know I spoke to you in any way. I am definitely on the same team. We have more in common than you know! Thanks for your well wishes.
I just found your channel and LOVED this video. I have gone through so many of the issues that you brought uo about weight loss, including having a heart issue. That was my "lightbulb" moment. I joined WW 5 years ago, for the umpteenth time, but as you said, something finally clicked. I have lost and maintained an 80 lb. weight loss. I hope yiu decided to do a separate channel with WW videos, and if you did, please let me know the name of the channel. Thank you so much for sharing your story. Please know that I am sure it positively touched so many people's lives. I am also going to follow you on Instagram. Thank you again.
Congratulations on your weight loss! I know the work is so much in the maintenance though!! It’s a constant battle for me these days. Welcome to the channel.
One of your comments really resonated with me. I lost 65 pounds several years ago and my mind set was huge. I always said that you can tell yourself that you "need" to do something but until you tell yourself you "have" to do it, your mind is not in the right place and nothing will work. Thanks for the motivation.
I weigh just at 200 and i not able to loose weight unless is just stop eating. It’s been hard to feel good about myself because I want to get down 40 pounds. Thank you for the encouragement. This video helps so much. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
I’m so glad to hear it helped. I completely understand the feeling. I hate when i go through plateaus where no matter what I do I can’t lose. It usually makes me do something drastic like that’s when I tried my whole 30…”lol
Thank you for sharing Kathrin. I am dealing with some heart issues and my doctor wants me to lose 100 lbs. I am so anxious about it as I just don't know where to start. This video was such an inspiration to me. Please continue with more videos about your journey.
I’m glad it spoke to you. I always find the first place to start is the market. I get rid of the crap and buy tons of fruit and veg. If it’s not here…I can’t reach for it. That’s a necessity for me but I know not everyone! Heart issues can be scary so I know it adds a layer of stress too but I know, you can do it!
Kathrin, thank you so much for sharing your journey! Your voice is so peaceful and soothing and I could watch/listen to you all day long. I have the same unknown "trigger" where I decide TODAY is the day I make the change and do something to be healthier and improve my lifestyle. I just started WW in August and am 15 lbs down. I so appreciate all your suggestions as to what works for you. Much love ♥
Marylander to Marylander, thank you!!!! I can so relate to your story, I'm back on WW , so much has changed but I feel good about it. I could never eat they way other people ate, even as a teen. I'm 56 and as a guy I've always thought my stomach was like a junk yard dog, hanging around, desperate to be fed until you wanna kick it! lol it's true, once you are on the program, it never leaves you. Here's to health, we got this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for sharing Kathryn. I too used WW to lose weight. And now I’ve been maintaining for a couple of years. This is the first time I’ve ever kept the weight off for so long. It’s becoming a lifestyle. Something that never ends.
I think this is the first video of yours that I have ever watched. Don't know how it ended up in my feed, but I'm so glad it did. Your story touched my heart. I too have been to Weight Watchers many times - and have made goal several times, but like you, when I stop going to meeting and stop tracking the weight eventually creep back on. Thanks for having the courage to share your struggles and your successes. I need to get back on track as the pounds keep creeping on! Praying God's richest blessings on you and your family as you touch lives through your channel!
So I had open heart surgery 6 months and 11 days ago. In the 2-3 yrs leading up to it, I lost a about 40lbs due to just being sick, I guess. I went from 284 to 243. Due to surgery and then going to skilled care for a week I lost another 20 lbs. for years I tipped the scale just over or just under 300 lbs. I came home from surgery at 223. I am up to 233 right now and am so scared about that the scale will keep going up so I joined WW again -I think this is my 4th time, so I am really struggling with meals and getting my snacking under control. I am so glad you put yourself out there for us and look forward to more, especially meal ideas. Oh and I have been through the ringer with my heart this past year and a half due and have had many procedures so if you need any info I might have about all of that, let me know!
Katherine I am so PROUD of you. Thank you for sharing. I am trying to loose weight also. I am watching how much I eat and not drinking soda. Which is hard for me. I am not exercising. I know I need to. Thanks again for being vulnerable. 🐱😃
Thanks so much. It’s so hard to make all the right choices and exercise is always my weakness too…something i really have to Make myself do..l sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t…lol
Kathrin I'm so happy your finding what works for you! I have been vegetarian since I was 11 due to an enzyme deficiency. My friend asked me if I would go Vegan for Lent with her & we both lost 75 pounds last year. I am at my goal weight & she lost another 75 this year & is at her goal weight now! 😊💖
Thank you so very much for sharing your journey. You are beautiful inside and out. I’ve been to WW probably about the same amount of times as you. I’m waiting for that little voice to click in my head, again. Xo
Loved your video and the pure honesty. Definitely you have found your confidence. We all have our journey. Some of what you said is part of my story. Would love to hear more.
Thanks for being so brave!!! I've tried WW but I'm soooo just lazy, lol. My allowance was 28 pts. with the same zero points as you. I need to bump up my water. Once it gets colder, water is the last thing on my mind. Mom did the cabbage soup diet. She loves cabbage. I can't stand it. I'm so glad that you're able to be so focused and that you finally see that you look better than you used to. You do you and you cry girl. We got you because we've been there.
I’m sure you’re not lazy…lol…WW just adds yet another thing to add to the million things we have to do in a day. Yea, I have the advantage of being a real water drinker…even off diet I’ve never really consumed calories by drinking. I do Diet Coke even when I’m eating pizza and cake and all the things…lol
@@kathrinmccarty6784 oh no, I'm lazy and I own that like a boss, LOL! When I was younger, I was better but I'm 52 now and know I should and can do better but honestly just don't care which is awful but it is what it is and like you know you are Miss Strict Control, I'm Miss Loosey Goosey, lol.
You said "you also have to live your life" that's absolutely true and that's what I'm afraid of with having gastric bypass surgery, that I won't have a life, but if I don't accomplish something huge ASAP I won't have a life to live because I'll be super sick or in the ground. My doctor is pushing me to have bypass surgery, I just don't know what to do.
Have your thought about trying one of the newer weight loss medications? I just got a sample of mounjaro from my doctor and am going to give it a try because after 2 months of exercising I’m not losing.
I am, unfortunately, on a lot of different medications that would probably interact, I'm guessing, because it's my primary care doctor that referred me for bariatric surgery.
Thank you thank you thank you for sharing this!!! I have wanted to ask you about weight watchers and I'm so glad that you are considering doing a separate channel about weight loss. I have lately felt my weight creep up and I need to do something so your inspiration for weight loss is just what I needed.
Love the share! Those of us that fight our weight on the daily need the extra strength in numbers… that are not associated with our own scale. Lol. Great video and I’ve told you before I love to hear your voice. You could read us the phone book! Does that age me? 🤔 Your demeanor is very calming and much needed in this crazy world!
Thank you for sharing this. I know how hard this was to talk about. I struggle with my own weight and health issues. I have a disabled son I need to stay healthy for but my own disabilities make it hard to keep my weight down. It's frustrating but I also know that I am not doing what I need to do as well. My doctor has recommended WW to me before so I am going to give it a try. The work is going to be on me but hopefully the guidelines will keep me on track. Kind of nervous going into the holiday season (aka foodfest) but maybe that's exactly what I need. You're the best!
It was so hard to tape this…and then put it up….lol. I think WW is definitely worth the try. I am finding it helps me so much! This is a tough time of year but it’s also soup season…and there’s so many healthy soups… 🥣
I've been watching you for years, and I love learning more about this side of you! Thank you for being so vulnerable and real. For an AMA, I was wondering what advice you would give your younger self and/or daughter and granddaughters. I'd also like to know if you or your husband have any relationship/marriage advice after being together for several decades :) I'm getting married this spring to my high school sweetheart, so I'm definitely curious
Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us. I understand it's scary BUT it is so helpful, inspiring, and motivating for others to connect with you on this human vulnerable level. Many of us are right with you in this experience and now we actually know that! Let us be together for strength, for ideas, and for support. You are a success at taking control of your life...bravo!! I am with you...I give you understanding and love. I feel that right back from you. 💝
I love the idea of sharing my experience and daily journey! As you say so many of us are right here, together in this and it is all so much easier with help!
Thank you for being vulnerable and honestly sharing such private information. I am with you on the weight struggle and not always very successfully. Again, thank you ❤️
Thanks for sharing this video, it really hit home for me. I have a very similar weight loss journey. At my "best" I'd lost 140 pounds with Weight Watchers but then gained quite a bit back. Then lost a substantial amount again and now I'm gaining again. I'd love for you to do more of this type of video, such as grocery hauls, what you eat in a day with points, etc. Maybe this will be my gentle, little push back on the WW wagon.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us!
( It " barked at me" this morning at 189.50...lol)
You're giving me inspiration, Kathrin- thank you so much, for that...💕
You are beautiful inside and out. Thank you for your honesty which couldn’t have been easy for you. ❤
Yes more stories, this inspired me ♡
So good to see a woman over 40 losing weight and taking positive steps in her life. Thanks for putting yourself out there.
Thank you so much!
You should be incredibly PROUD of yourself!
Thank you Toni!
Thanks Kelly for such kind words! Yes, we can do this together…we should form a group…lol
❤
@@kathrinmccarty6784 How could we do that?
This was great, I lost 80lbs on WW and just restarted. I have gained back 15lbs of that and still have 60lbs to go, loved it!
15 isn’t bad at all! Congo’s your loss…and getting back on track!
Thank you so much for sharing your personal journey! As someone that is around your age, weight, & struggles with health issues, I feel that i can sympathize/empathize with you and I appreciate your brutal honesty. It was probably scary to share this information, but I appreciated it and it was very meaningful to me personally. Thank you!
Thanks so much for watching! It is a little tough to share but I think there’s such a community out there and keep hoping to do more videos like this!
Thank you for being so honest! What a sweet kind soul!
This video was wonderful. Thank you. I lost weight by walking and counting points. I lost about a pound a week which was fine. You are a very special lady. I have been watching your videos for a long time. I am 68. Hugs
A pound a week is perfect. That way you I know you’re losing healthfully! Thanks for the kind words!
Thank you for being so vulnerable and open about your journey. Congratulations on all your progress. 🎉
Thank you so much!
Well said. I agree with everything
@@kathrinmccarty6784 it really is!!!

Bless you! You have achieved and maintained weight loss for your health! Thanks for sharing your journey to help others. Yes, more, please!
Thanks so much!
So yes, we all have to do our best, find what works for us and allow the same in others.
hi, What a refreshing video! You sound like my twin, so many of the same issues. Thank you.
Thanks, I’m glad you liked it!
All I can say is “Thank you for sharing your journey”. This has really helped me. 🙏🙏🙏
I’m so glad, thanks so much!
Oh Kathrin , I'm so proud of you -
I also have been on Weight watchers 4 times -
IT DOES WORK - my 1st time was after I had my Daughter and I lost 55 pounds - then My 2nd time - I lost 47 pounds - then 3rd time - I lost the least 14pds - this last time - not knowing As I had ballooned up to 243 pounds very quickly- I had my wellness check up & found out I had Hypothyroidism which is why I was gaining so much so quickly , My primary Dr put me on Thyriod meds almost 2 years ago and It helped some what loss some - but I've started gaining again - plus I'm having major back surgery Oct 17, 2022
So I see my primary Dr for a OK to be put under for general anaistis - but also tell him I'm gaining weight again & have became more emotional and not as active .
I plan on starting w/w again once air heal from this new fusion in my back .

Thanks so much Josette. I’ll pray for you and your surgery. Heal well my friend!
I really hope to dig into this in the new year. You Can do this…you truly truly can!
You should be so proud of yourself. It's a struggle. I've been up and down for years. Thank you for sharing your story. You're beautiful inside and out. Don't ever let anyone tell you different. ❤️
It is…a daily if not meal to meal struggle. Thanks Heather, I appreciate you!
It would be nice to see you do a Weight Watchers grocery haul!😊
Thank you! I needed to hear this. I am facing 60 next month and I need to lose 35 pounds. I am going to think of you and these wise words and I’m going to do it.
I’m so glad it may have helped! You got this!
☺️thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing! I lost a lot of weight also on WW and have maintained for about 4 years. I subscribed to your channel because you were so open about your journey. I love your openness! Thank you again. Blessings!
Thanks so much and congratulations on your loss and I often think more importantly, maintenance!
Miss Kathrin, you are beautiful inside & out! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Cassidy that’s so nice of you to say!
Thanks Sarah. It’s a journey. I’m hoping to lower the number I stay at but for now…super happy!
Kathrin every time you started crying I just wanted to hug you! Thank you for sharing your story you are such an amazing women.
Thank you Joana, that’s so nice of you to say!
Just love hearing from you!😂❤
Thank you so much. That’s so nice of you to say! ☺️
Thanks so much 😊
Kathrin, if you weren't already my favorite pandemic discovered You Tuber, this video would have shot you straight to the top of my list. Thank you for being brave enough to share your story. I'm sure it's striking a chord with thousands who completely understand and appreciate your journey. I really only have three more words for you...You Go Girl!!!👍❤🎉
Aw, thanks Stephanie! It would be amazing if it connected with or helped someone! 🥰
Bravo to you! 👏 Talking about our “weight” is tough. I too have joined Weight Watchers many, many times. It is a great program as long as you follow it……staying on it is so hard when on vacations, holidays, etc. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much Linda!
Hi Kathrin! Thank you for sharing all of this. Sharing and crying is ok. Hearing your story is so inspiring. Sending hugs and love! 💕
Thanks so much Mary!
I have not been on your weight loss journey but I admire you so much for being vulnerable and creating this video. I have struggles of my own that even though they’re not exactly as yours, I understand so well. Everything will be OK. ❤
Thanks Kate.
Good luck.
K-You look great❣️what an amazing journey you are on!! WW is great!! Keep up the good work!! I support you all the way❣️❣️❣️Thank you for sharing

Thanks so much Michelle. I really appreciate it!
Thanks so much Sara!
Thanks so much Michelle. I can be so hard to see the progress that we’ve made.
Have it’s a constant struggle! Lately I have been doing Paleo with pretty good luck.

I really needed to hear this tonight. Thank-u so much Kathrin for being so kind and sharing.💕
I’m glad it was here. This is a daily struggle for me and love coming across other peoples experience!
I too have just started following the WW program again. Good luck to us both!
Thanks so much! It’s so hard trying to decide how to start this new path!
Wow. Kathrin… I am trying to lose after awaiting knee surgery for 3 years… it’s been tough . Thank you so much!! I’m so proud of u☀️☀️☀️
Thank you!!🌸🌸🌸
Thanks so much! I have a friend with the same goal, loss to have her knees done! You can do it!

Thank you so much Marissa! That’s so nice of you to say!
Wishing you all the luck in the world!!!❤️
Stress is the worst trigger! I’ll pray for you too Linda! God Bless you for all the care you’re giving others. Be sure to take care of you too.
Wow! Thank you for sharing. You're honesty and vulnerability really spoke to me. Really inspiring especially since I"m at the point where my brain needs to kick on and say enough is enough. Feel proud. You are beautiful and your journey is beautiful. It's all a part of you and that makes it perfect.
Thank you so much for such kind words!
I hope your digestive issues straighten out. My Mom has UC so I know stomach issues can be a nightmare! I think WW is worth giving a try.
You are awesome! And lost so much weight! You know your body-thank you for your honesty and sharing.
Oh my goodness that’s so nice of you to say, I would love sharing my story to make a difference for someone! 😊
I’m a lifetime member, worked for them for years. When I am away from it my weight goes up. It really works!
Awesome, I’d love to make it to lifetime! Congratulations!
It’s definitely mind power…it’s like getting all the parts to fit together perfectly!
You are awesome! Thank you for sharing. I, too, have tried so many diets. I am intrigued by ww now.
Thanks Jana! I’m really enjoying the new program!
Much love ♥
Thank you for sharing your journey, Kathrin. Sending you love.
Receiving it!
Thank you for sharing, I felt like you were speaking directly to me. I needed to hear this today 💗
The program is really different but I’m really liking it as I get used to it. Indeed, here’s to health!
Thank you for sharing Kathryn. I too used WW to lose weight. And now I’ve been maintaining for a couple of years. This is the first time I’ve ever kept the weight off for so long. It’s becoming a lifestyle. Something that never ends.
That’s awesome, congratulations!
Thank you so much Jeannie. I pray for goal this time and the will to keep it off!
Thank you for sharing your journey. You were so brave to do this. You look amazing and beautiful. Always be proud of yourself..
Thanks so much Kim. I truly appreciate your kind words!
Thanks Susan! My favorite snacks are hummus or tzatziki both with veg. It gives me the salty and crunchy but it’s totally reasonable points!
That’s amazing! It’s so much better to have a friend to take the journey with you.
Wow, I'm so glad I found you! What an inspiration you are and I'm really looking forward to more videos ! Yes!!
Thanks so much for the kind words Karen!
Thanks so much!
You are a beautiful light and so inspirational. You touched my heart. Thank you
Thank you so much ☺️
Thanks for being so brave!!!
I can imagine it’s a difficult decision to make. It crossed my mind too back in the day!
Hi! I’m loving WW this time. I feel like it is really helping me get back on track!
Exactly, it’s easier to have friends on the journey! Thanks so much!
Thank you for sharing. You are fantastic 🎉 I am delighted to be part of your group ❤
Welcome to the community and thanks so much!
Aw, thank you. Those are great questions! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
Again, thank you ❤️
Thanks so much!
Thanks I love the idea of sharing my journey, it’ll help me stay on track too! And I’m with you, I’ve gained and lost so many times!
