I like that idea! Maybe I could do something monthly on new finds that I've had for that month, and then each January just combine them to show the finds for the year. That's a great idea! I'll work on that. Thanks! 😉💕
You can also make great chips from the Joseph's lavish. Just cut one into rectangle-shaped chips and place on baking sheet, spray very lightly with cooking spray, lightly sprinkle with salt if desired, then place in 350 degree oven for 5-8 minutes, depending on your oven. Watch carefully, they can burn easily. Store in airtight container. Delicious!
Thanks for the tip of buying frozen avocado! I always waste fresh avocado. I didn't even know you could get frozen. I already purchased some and it worked out great!
Kristi it is so helpful when you tell where you've bought things! I'm shopping more at Aldi lately due to the economy and I'm loving the prices and the quality.
Thanks Karin! I will definitely try to do that more often in these videos. I didn't even realize I was doing it. LOL I just turn on the camera and start gabbing! Aldi has been amazing lately for finds!!

Your ideas fantastic ...I was concerned about getting enough protein...your suggestion to add the higher protein less tasteful stuff to the food to bulk up protein is genius. Thanks so much.
Zero point yogurt bar: blend up the fat free yogurt with fruit of your choice (I like strawberry) and freeze. If you add cocoa powder for chocolate strawberry yogurtsicle, it’s one point.
CORRECTIONS: The garlic hummus is only 1 point for 2 Tbsp 😋 Also, the boxed pudding is 1 point per serving or 3 points for the entire box. All brands are different though, so always double-check the points in your tracker. Also, I said I like to keep the canned potatoes in the fridge - I meant the pantry. 😉 COMMENT below - what are some of your favorite low-point or low-calorie foods?

Hi, I love that popcorn popper, I use the Brady Street Cheese Sprinkles from Penzeys which has the cheese flavor with a hint a garlic and salt. I made the Salsa Chicken this week and it is really good. Shadow even likes it. I had it on roasted sweet potato one, night, salad another, baked potato another. It is really versatile.😋
Just as a side note, we Canadians do not call ham bacon. We have no idea from where that originated. Bacon up here is the same stuff you folks call bacon.
I agree! I grew up 10 minutes from the Canadian border and never knew why it was called that. Someone once told me that American bacon comes from the belly and Canadian bacon comes from the back (sometimes referred to as back bacon), and that the back bacon originally was imported from Toronto to New York, so it became known as Canadian bacon. Not sure how true that is though.

Loving binge-watching your videos. Lots of good recipes and tips. I love Skinny Girl salad dressings-especially the Poppyseed flavor 😋 Zero points. Just started WW and enjoying real food again! Thank you for your videos. 😊
Thanks so much Janice!! ❤ And I forgot about the Skinny Girl dressings! You are right. That poppyseed one is sooo good!! I need to pick some up! Thanks! 😉😉
Also: Trader Joe’s has riced palmini & palmini noodles that are zero points. Heinz has a sugar free ketchup and of course all of G Huge’s is delicious. 😋
@@janicebull2741 Love these ideas!! Thanks! I wish we had a Trader Joes!! I see so many grocery hauls from there and I love seeing some of their stuff!
Some really good suggestions. Especially liked the Dash seasoning and I agree that it is usually quite salty so this is going in my shopping cart the next time I get groceries.
I have added some stuff on my shop list. I saw this popcorn popper at Walmart for $10. I guess I’ll try air popped popcorn. We love the cheddar popcorn from Aldi (black bag)
Ty so much I’m just getting started!! How much have you lost? Love to se before and after. Idk why but it motivates me! I’m scared to do one of me though!
Thanks so much! I know what you mean! It's kind of a long story of my weight loss journey. But as of right now, I'm down 35 pounds. I lost 93 back 20 years ago but gained it back (I was in my 30s and didn't learn anything). I started WW online in 2019 and lost about 50 pounds and then Covid hit and I ended up gaining back about 20 pounds over the next few years. I've gotten back on track this year and am now back at about 35 pounds down total. It's been a journey, but I'm now learning to just take things slow and steady and treat it like a lifestyle and not a diet. :)
I love having whole can potatoes in cabinet. I drain and rinse them then boil them until they are a little more tender. I then drain water and cool potatoes and put them in my homemade potato salad. And I never have to worry buying a 5-pound bag of fresh that can go bad before me, and hubby get eaten. I love Ole Extreme wraps too for sandwiches. Adding some spring mix greens, tomatoes, chickpeas for sandwich I like. I love adding salsa to my green salads. Thank you so much for this wonderful information. Love from Ky.
@@PlanningUsHealthy I just rinse off water they are canned in and then add them to fresh water in pan. Boil them to tenderness you prefer for potato salad then drain and chill. I love the convenience having them on hand.
You're welcome! Sometimes I feel like diabetics feel a little left out with this program, so I try to mention it when I'm having fruit or cottage cheese, etc. :)
Been looking for a low point Caesar. I found the Bolthouse at Target. Have you tried any of the Skinny Girl Dressings. My favorite their honey mustard and poppy seed.
I actually had forgotten all about the Skinny Girl dressings. I LOVE the poppy seed! I don't think I've tried their honey mustard. I'll have to look for it. Thanks Barb!
Where were the egg rolls from? Just a little friendly tip if you take that sign out the back it will focus on the items showing they were a little fuzzy bc of the sign.
I believe I got those from Aldi or Walmart. And you are absolutely right! The picture was too close so my camera kept focusing on that instead of the items. Thank you! 😊😊
Some great items and ideas. I love to stir in a spoonful of fat-free cottage cheese, fat-free Greek yogurt, ricotta, goat cheese, laughing cow cheese or hummus into my eggs. Just a spoonful or 1 wedge of laughing cow. They all add a creaminess, flavor and make my eggs extra fluffy. For most of them it also adds extra protein. I've also stirred in some spinach dip into my eggs, not always the healthiest option, but just a spoonful adds lots of flavor and changes up my eggs. I eat eggs pretty much every day, so anything to help change it up a little. For salad dressing: hummus mixed with fat-free plain yogurt or cottage cheese and I'll mix it in a food processor to make it smooth. I've also used silken tofu and made my own homemade dressing. Caesar 1 block silken tofu 1 Tbs Dijon mustard 1 Tbs capers 1/2-1 tsp lemon juice Garlic powder or minced garlic to taste Onion powder Salt and pepper to taste Nutritional yeast Blend in a food processor until smooth. So good. Also add any powder dip mixes with the silken tofu. I did a homemade onion dip Onion dip 1 block silken tofu 1 medium onion, carmelized in non-stick spray. Chives, fresh or dried Fresh green onions Onion powder Pinch celery salt Pinch garlic powder Salt and pepper to taste Carmelize the onions in non-stick spray over medium low heat. It takes time but us worth it. Once cooked, allow to cool slightly. Everything goes into a blender or food processor until smooth. My mom is not a tofu fan and it shocked her that I made this dip with tofu
I might have missed it, but how many daily points are you working with? I just started. Many of the items you suggest still seem high and not worth the points.
I get 23 points a day plus 28 weeklies. I don't normally use my activity points, but I do use my weeklies. But I eat a lot of zero point foods as well.
The brown rice has whole grains in it and isn't as refined as white. But I don't care for it on its own like I do white rice. I usually use brown in recipes or mixed with something. I eat white rice probably just as much as brown. I also have ulcerative colitis, so there are times I can only eat white rice anyway. You're so right - the texture of the white rice is so much better.
Are you referring to the Dannon light and fit yogurt smoothie? If so, it's only 1 point as scanned, meaning the 1 point is per WW and not additional points - most likely because it's a protein yogurt that's just blended into a smoothie texture as opposed to all fruit blended together without yogurt in it. Hope that makes sense.
I just purchased the yogurt to try. I always buy the light and fit Dannon yogurt. I found the Aldi's yogurt to be very tart compared to the Dannon. Are the Dannon Protein drinks in the same section as the yogurts?
I would agree with your statement about the Aldi ones being more tart. I like both, but prefer the flavor of the Dannon. I believe the protein drinks are in the same area as the yogurt - I ordered them online so I'm not 100% sure. They were cold when I got them, so I'm sure they're with the yogurt.
They're pricey, but when I just have to have a candy bar, I love Built bars, specifically the chocolate chip cookie dough. There's lots of sale codes and deals out there to get them cheaper. They range from 3-5 points depending on the flavor. Cookie dough is 4.
Thanks so much, Lora 😊 I wanted something for Valentines and couldn't decide between bright red or hot pink so I told the nail tech to pick and that's what he did. ;)
My WW app says the strawberry banana drink is 90 cal for 1 point. However for non fat. I can’t see non fat on your bottle maybe that’s why it scanned 2
That's strange how it's different for some. Mine scans at 2, but it gives the wrong nutrition facts (it says it's 90 cals but in fact it's really only 80). I figure it's close enough to 1 point so that's what I count it as anyway. LOL
Enjoyed your video and got some new things to try. I discovered this not long ago at Walmart for popcorn. It's Kernel Seasons Movie Theater Butter Flavored Spritzer and it zero points and helps the popcorn seasoning you mentioned stick. Also I like the idea of the frozen cholate peanut butter rice cakes. My daughter show this for a rice cake dessert. You use a chocolate rice cake spread cool whip on it and top with cut up strawberries. I think it is 3 points and good!
Hi Nancy! It's basically baked pancakes, I guess you could say. I have some recipes for it on my website planningushealthy.com or you can search Planning Us Healthy pancake bake on youtube and it should bring up videos. I have quite a few meal prep videos where I make different kinds.
I like the caramel and also the white cheddar ones. I like the plain ones to use for the peanut butter cups or with peanut butter banana. But I agree - the plain ones by themselves don't have much flavor at all.
Hi there, as I have told you before I don't do Weight Watchers. It seems like a lot of work counting the points. But I enjoyed this video very much! Very good tips! Do you mind saying how much weight you have lost by doing Weight Watchers?
Thanks so much, Sis!! It's a little bit of a round robin, I guess you could say. LOL I lost about 50 pounds in 2019. Then during 2020 and 2021 was when I got hit with Covid and a bad flare and ended up putting back on about 20 pounds over the 2 years (menopause, meds, and all sorts of things all at once). In 2022 I decided to put my app in "maintain" - at that point, I wanted to work on just maintaining my current weight and not losing, and it worked. I'm now back in weight loss mode and down 7 pounds since restarting weight loss mode at the beginning of the year.
I was wondering have you fone Q and A video? I like to see your pictures and now? I want to know have you lose weight yet? And how long you been trying to lose weight?
Hi there! I did a Q&A a loooong time ago, but it's probably time for another one. So, I have lost weight, but my story is a little different because I've gone through several journeys and I'm not always in weight loss mode. I started WW originally back in 2003 and lost 93 pounds. But I was in my 30s and really didn't learn much about nutrition so I gained the weight back. In 2019 I joined WW online and lost 50 pounds but then gained back about 25 over the next couple years due to Covid and other factors. I went through a period of intuitive eating as well, but determined that just wasn't for me yet. So now I'm back in weight loss mode and have been losing consistently for the past three months, but I'm also watching my macros and keeping track of my protein, and I'm not back to strength training three days a week. :) I think I may have to do a new Q&A soon! Thanks for the idea! :)
@@PlanningUsHealthythank you for responding back. I would to hear your up and down journey with weight lost. I know it not easy things to do but we all have to start somewhere..
Weight watchers doesn't address those of us on a low sodium diet. Honestly, I cut a ton of sodium out of my diet and I lost 30 pounds in 3 weeks. I buy 0 sodium products and make great italian meals and mexican meals. The only sodium is in the cheese. I know, I know you have to have sodium to live, but you can lower sodium to a healthy level.
That's great that you found something that works for you! Weight Watchers doesn't necessarily address low sodium, but I think it's definitely possible to follow it while on a low sodium diet once you know the foods that are lowest in sodium. Weight Watchers really pushes toward lean meats, fruits, veggies, legumes, etc. That's fantastic you've found what works for you! 😊
This needs to be a monthly series! 👍👍

very helpful, thank you.
Thanks for watching!! 😊
I really enjoyed this video!
Thanks so much, Holly! :)
I’m not sure brown rice is that much better for you than white rice. So I always go for white rice because the texture is so much better.
New to program, great info ty
So glad it was helpful. Thanks so much for watching. 😊
How many points do you add for blended fruit for the fruit smoothie?
Thanks so much, Joanna! I haven't had a Built bar in years! I may have to check them out again.
Just saw double choc and cookies & cream at walmart
@@judithwengerherr7394 Ohhh, yum!!
Where did you purchase the Chicken egg rolls
I got these ones from Walmart.
So many great ideas! Shopping today and needed this. Love your nail color!
Oh, I need to look for that spritzer!! Thanks so much forr that! And I love your daughter's idea too!! I will have to try that one. Sounds delicious!!
Great video🤩
Thank you 🤗
What is a "pancake bake"? Thanks.
Hi Nancy! It's basically baked pancakes, I guess you could say. I have some recipes for it on my website planningushealthy.com or you can search Planning Us Healthy pancake bake on youtube and it should bring up videos. I have quite a few meal prep videos where I make different kinds.
I’m in Colorado and, sadly, we do not have Aldi’s here😢😢😢
Oh, that's too bad! 😥 I assumed they were everywhere.
We don't either. I've never heard of it other than TH-cam lol
No Aldi in Arkansas either 😢
😔😔
Thanks!!!
Thanks for watching! 😊
Where did you get the frozen avocado
Aldi. I'm heading back today to get a couple more bags. I am loving it!!
The flavored rice cakes are so much better
I like the caramel and also the white cheddar ones. I like the plain ones to use for the peanut butter cups or with peanut butter banana. But I agree - the plain ones by themselves don't have much flavor at all.
Thank You!!
Thanks for watching!
I must say FF cottage cheese is way better now, than back in the 70s
I agree with that! Years ago they were horrrible!!!
Great ideals
Thank you! 😊
@@PlanningUsHealthy Oh my goodness 50 pounds ? That's great! Thank you for sharing that. Maybe I should be doing WW,lol
@Planning Us Healthy that's great! I just joined tonight..I struggle more with keeping weight out so I'm glad ur maintaining!!!
A lot a great ideals
Thanks so much, Rose! :)
I cannot stomach fat free cottage cheese!
For me, it depends on the brand. I definitely much prefer the Good Culture 2%. That's the best!
Thank you!
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
