@DayzeeZimmz Thank u. Still not drinking. Health checkups, blood test, no longer scary. Skin, hair, bloodwork, blood pressure, cholesterol, improving, close to normal. Nothing out or range that I need to focus on. Just eat a balanced diet, multivitamin, and walks
665 days today... few slip ups but only bought 6 in that time. i like being re reminded on the whys. Excellent an you didnt daddle... got right to it! God Bless
I relate to so many of these. That's why I'm experimenting with sobriety from alcohol for this month. Over the last 9 years, I've struggled to go even a week without alcohol. I look forward to letting this month play out and hope it'll inspire me to remain sober afterwards.
Immerse yourself in hobbies and activities. Learn to play an instrument, learn a language, start woodworking, go bowling, play golf, start a business! I’ve been buying sparkling water as a decoy for beer. Oddly, it has helped!
Before you can do positive things and hang out with sober people you have to find them. Everyone I know drinks. I've been sober a year after decades of binge drinking.
Thankyou leon ignore the silly negative comments obviously your video is for those who feel they have a problem!you have helped me tremendously thankyou❤
January the 1st 2025 I will be seven months clean and this video has made me never wanting to drink again. God is so good. We all can stay sobor if we have faith 🙏
My father was an alcoholic. He was a real asshole to my mom and to us. When he quit he became a nicer person. Now he is dead. I made him quit by saying he wouldn't see his grandchildren anymore if he wouldn't stop. This helped. Addict can only learn the hard way.
Iv been sober for 4 months but the other day I had 2 glasses of wine I thought were non alcoholic will this affect my recovery? And do me harm I don’t feel the need or desire to drink again but I’m worried it may have affected my liver and body is there any harm done? Can anyone help me with an answer?
Most won’t be successful to quit without facing head on the real reasons they drink. As a fifty year heavy drinker, I wasn’t able to finally quit until I faced the dark side of myself. At 77, I’ve been totally sober for over four years. I wasn’t addicted to the substance itself. I was running from my demons.
Nonsense , Alcohol in moderation like 2 beers a day or glass of wine is excellent for you as many studies have shown . Also, the bible advocates moderate use See Psalm 104 : 15 , Ecc 9 : 7 , Isa 55 : 1 [Niv] bible. Studies show people who drink "moderately" live longer than those who abstain google it . There is no truth out there all misinformation as a great man of God predicted for our modern times about 4000yrs ago See Isa 59 : 15 [Niv] bible Reply
Moderation definitely good I think then it's down to your individual genes. We all prone to different things. Just an unhealthy activity that increases chances of lots of bad things
Can't say for others, but for me moderation has hasn't worked. I didn't have one drink, enjoy it and then stop. One drink was the catalyst for another and another etc etc
@@guyboycecam1636 This is being an alcoholic. I have this. I celebrated 6 years alcohol free in October. I am unable to control myself and stop once I start. One drink becomes one more, then another and another till I pass out drunk. I never really was hooked where I had to drink, but almost. If you can't stop once you start, it is Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD), a form of alcoholism and thus you and me are alcoholic. The only safe bet is to not drink at all.

Almost 2 years at least for me. My 5 drinks a day gone. My liver, brain, family relationship, all healing
Amazing how our bodies are happy when we're good to them. Good job and your life choice.

@tomquagliata9381 I've done a lot of that, and yet I still find myself gravitating to alcohol. It's partially a mental health thing

I've been sober a year after decades of binge drinking.
This was awesome
Great video i appreciate it
I think I could add about 8 mobile phones, 3 or 4 wallets, one mountain bike and a few unfortunate accidents to the list.

I was the opposite, fags were a piece of piss compared to drink
smart man, bravo
I don’t drink alcohol but I feel pressure by society to buy and drink alcohol I don’t drink alcohol I don’t want to drink alcohol
22 days sober but experiencing craving and constant depression, is this normal ?
So why then and how on earth can they sell it leagally
#1 reason why I MUST quit alcohol: I'm almost out of beer!
I'll drink to that !

You will be ok ! I hope you are back on your journey again….
why say that it will take decades to heal. How does that help someone who wants to quit. They will simply carry on

Is this fear mongering?
Alcohol use has been part of human society for millennia across all cultures.
Moderation is key!

@@guyboycecam1636 yeh depends where I go and the crowd. It's very hard I agree and if you can never moderate best avoid 100% I'd say 👍
The moderation demon😈 has entered the chat folks......
