- Tron Lightcycle Power Run is a semi-enclosed launched steel roller coaster attraction at Shanghai Disneyland Park, and an upcoming attraction at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Based on the Tron series, the attraction takes guests on a ride through the Grid on their own light cycle.

Wonderfully evocative lighting and music make even the approach to the attraction a not insignificant thrill.
Wow. I mean WOW! This brings back to when I saw Tron at my local movie theater when it first came out in 1982 and I thought the light-cycle scene was awesome to see on screen and now seeing it as a ride. Wow
That queue was so dope I was getting excited with every step you took. I could only imagine being there.

I fondly remember the movie "Tron" from the time of its original release, thrilling to this early harbinger of the cinematic wonders and delights soon to be explored in the dawning age of digital effects. And yet "Tron" seems to have fallen out of anything more than the merest passing awareness of its existence. May all of us, including the parkgoers prvileged to experience this magnificent coaster and its siblings in other Disney parks rediscover the magic and magnificence of the film as well. Enjoy the ride!

Can’t wait until this is at WDW! WDW will have this AND the original Space Mountain, which is still classic. I’ll never want to leave. looks epic both at night and during the day but it looks the most awesome at night! I’m wondering if it will be an exact clone or if the layout will be a little different, I won’t be mad if it’s exactly the same but am hoping for a different but equally awesome track. Also it’s terrifying that the corona virus has shut down Shanghai Disney.

I'm curious to see how this futuristic, organic shaped building will mix with Tomorrowland's modernist architecture. It could feel somehow out of place, but the ride looks absolutely incredible! Imagineering at its finest!

Tron is cool and all, but nothing can match the nostalgia I feel with space mountain. Here’s to hope that with the opening of tron at the magic kingdom does not affect the future of space mountain. I love that ride and would be upset if it were to close or be replaced.
It is not being replaced. I recently went to Magic Kingdom and my twin sister saw it being built and we rode Space Mountain while we were there. But there is a chance it will steal the popularity of it
The lights aren't always blue :,0 thats a nice touch
As far as I know the train can display 3 colors, dark indigo blue when the restraints are loose, neon blue during the ride and yellow to create the illusion of racing another train.

I love the area music in the beginning of the track. Like an updated version of Space Mountain's queue music? Wish it was the area music for WDW's Tomorrowland.

In spring 2023 we are getting the Tron ride here in Florida. So hyped!!!!
There future plans to redone Tomorrowland at Disneyland in Anaheim after the new Star Wars attraction of Galaxy’s Edge opening on May 31 and talking about the Tron light cycle run roller coaster by Space Mountain and have remove Astro Orbiter and possibly take down Autopia. It is rumored about future plans the Disneyland park.

Looks hard to tell where you’re going to turn or when. Almost reminds me of Space Mountain, which mostly in the dark I never liked, even after they redid the seating.
here’s me hoping the american one won’t have an instant launch, idk why, but roller coasters that instantly launch me scare me, but i’m fine with later launches!
