I think I was part of the minority that was very "Meh" about the ride experience. I thought the launch and the turn into the Grid were the best parts but after that it did nothing for me. The overall experience was great though, like the reveal and the queue experience. You gave it a 9, I give it a 6.5. Also, Cast members will hate the loading process because of how difficult it is for body shaping and scared kids.
With wait times being over 2 hours at a theme park, it makes perfect sense to point out the length of a ride. I can tell from the video I would feel the exact same way
@@SunnylandProds True, theoretically virtual queue should help, but so far that system has doubled wait times if anything everywhere from what I’ve seen😔
Went on it twice yesterday and it’s an awesome ride but it feels so short. I agree that it needs another turn or something but it is a visual spectacle and the music is awesome! Going next week in the dark so that should be cool. Thanks for your review!
I think it's a shame they didn't use two trains synched up on different tracks so that riders would regularly "race" as in zoom towards each other, curve around and go alongside each other and the veer off. No idea whether that's possible safety wise
You’re saying it’s a shame they didn’t make TWO IDENTICAL COASTERS when they could mimic the effect with a mirror? One of those options costs tens of millions of dollars. The other, is a mirror.
@@2nerdsinhell A single mirror cannot duplicate what a good dueling coaster can do. You would need dozens of mirrors at strategic places, and even then it does not achieve the same effect.
I rode the Shanghai one a number of times a few years ago and I don't recall the midcourse brakes being noticeable at all (at most a very light trim). But that said, TRON was the first ride I actually got off hysterically laughing cause of how immersive the theming is - super excited that it's available now in NA
There's a lot of people disappointed with this ride because of the long build time and the fact that it's been in place elsewhere for a long time. For me, IPs go a LONG way in my enjoyment of a ride. I have zero connection to Guardians of the Galaxy, so when we rode that at EPCOT recently, I thought it was just ok. On the other hand, I've wanted to ride a LightCycle since I first saw TRON as a kid. So even if it's not the most thrilling ride of all time, the IP alone is enough for me to enjoy it.
To say I’m excited for this ride is a vast understatement. For anyone who doesn’t know me (so most of everyone) TRON is my favorite franchise. The way people devote all their time and energy to series like Lord of the Rings or Star Wars or Marvel, I’ve done that with TRON. not to mention that Daft Punk is literally my favorite artist of all time. This coaster will have to do something seriously wrong for me to even give it an 8/10 lol. Can’t wait for opening day when I finally fly out from the PNW mostly just for this ride
As someone who has ridden this ride a few times it is definitely one of my favorites in the entire result for sure really eye pleaser inside and out, futuristic-y vibes and it was an overall good fit for Tommorowland at MK!
Front row at night is incredible. The bikes make it unique and feel really fast. The launch is strong, starts slow and just intensifies. On the front the launch is still pushing you hard into the first hill. From the back you can feel the launch peter out before the hill. Makes a big difference. Absolutely loved Tron and Guardians would have loved both to go on even longer but that is only because they were so fun to ride.
10:40 So that's how that works! I assumed it was mirrors, but I didn't know how the cycles turned orange. I was thinking maybe it was a filter inside the mirror that replaced the blue light with orange light somehow. The real solution is so simple, I love it!
Disney should use the dual load station to offer an extreme ride that doesn’t use trims for one train while the other does. Sure the programming would be more complicated but this is Disney lol
i rode this two days after riding Guardians for the first time, and i was just shocked with how good Guardians was, and i was super excited for this ride, coming off it i was a little disappointed with the length, but overall i think it was a fantastic ride with incredible theming, but Guardians beats it and it ties with Space Mountain
I had the chance to ride it. Despite the relative short duration, I do enjoy TRON itself. The theme is great and it's also thrilling at times. I seriously believe this is exactly what Magic Kingdom needed. A great thrilling ride, but not too thrilling. Still pleasing the families with kids, but also enough to be enjoyed by other demographics that like a little more thrilling rides. Until now I had the feeling that was somewhat lacking at MK. Great coaster and a great fit for in what park it is!
I will say that the indoor portion has cold air blowing through as you zoom along is a godsend for cooling off if you ride this thing during particularly hot days.
It looks great, but interesting to see how the ride experience is to other Vekoma booster bikes. I've ridden Velocity at Flamingo Land (a billion times better than Booster Bike, Toverland), and it had a great launch, great positives and some solid airtime
Have you been to Shanghai Disney and pirates. I love your park reviews I can't find your magic kingdom epcot or Hollywood studio review. Only animal. I'll fly to tokyo for Disney sea keep up good work
Maybe I'm still a bit bitter that Tron received the same score as Zadra, but I truly hope CS will one day either breakout the score into multiple categories, or use a reoccurring ranking system. Great review though!
I went on this ride on my trip to Disney and HOLY KREP IT WAS AWESOME i was a bit nervous at first but when it launched it was fun the whole time I was just like 🤙😄 just a bit short but definitely worth the wait
I haven't been on the Magic Kingdom version, but I did ride the one in Shanghai in 2018. I thought it was... ok. I remember riding it once and then spending the rest of my two days marathoning Battle for the Sunken Treasure.
I would say that TRON is kind of story-based, in that you're not only racing Team Orange, but you also have to capture the 8 energy gates, which Taylor referred to as "arches"
@@CoasterStudios on ride it is something that happens, but I see what you mean. They don't tell you before you board that you have to capture them. It's just a part of the on-ride audio 😂
Great review! We have an opportunity to ride it in early March as DVC members, but it is on the day we check out, so not sure if it’s worth it to disrupt our plans and have all of our luggage in the car all day, plus spending another $150/pp to go to Magic Kingdom when we would we otherwise be heading to our next destination and then home.
I don't see Tron being the huge hit that Guardians or Hagrid was in terms of a good family coaster. Both Guardians and Hagrids are tied to huge movies. I really enjoy the Marvel movies for the most part and while I'm not a Harry Potter fan, I did watch all of the movies and acknowledge how big that franchise is. Both coasters and experiences seem fall superior to that of Tron, and I'm one that doesn't like Hagrid's as much as most, but Hagrid's looks worlds better than Tron. When I first watched the POV of Tron, I honestly thought a more forceful Pony Express at Knott's with lights, and then Knott's comes out on their social media making fun of Tron with a Pony Express post. the coaster has too many starts and stops for my taste as I don't like RRR at US, although this coaster doesn't appear to be as rough. Also it seems a bit short. Not a coaster I'm rushing out for tbh.
Really would like to ride this it looks awesome, Though I have might doubts whether it coulds beat Guardian's of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewinds, Expedition Everest and Rock n Rollercoaster (Which is the most intense rollercoaster at Walt Disney World)
How many trains do they run?? Does it even need all those mid courses or is the next train launched after it hits the last mid course? If only the indoor part was a bit longer.
I’m still surprised not a single park made double sided lockers that uses your finger print as the key especially Disney cause they already use fingerprint readers
I found Tron to be VERY underwhelming. It's fun for what it is, but it is too short. The ride is over before you even realize you're on a rollercoaster. I would not wait in a long queue to go on this ride again. Guardians Cosmic Rewind is a FAR superior ride IMHO. I still prefer Rockin' Rollercoaster and Tower of Terror (not even a rollercoaster) over Tron as well for a good thrill ride. As an overall experience, I found I enjoyed Ratatouille more than I did Tron. I think Avatar is better. Test Track is better. Heck, even Space Mountain still holds up. I think they missed the mark with Tron. If you are going, do it at night. It is much more visually appealing to ride at night.
I was very disappointed with this ride Tron is my favorite movie the ride was so short and it doesn’t go as fast as it looks and it was pretty uncomfortable
The same feeling you have for Tron as far as what to feel about since it took so long I feel the same about Mission Ferrari. I was so hyped to see that technology come to roller coasters and now that it is opened I’m like it’s cool but so much has happened in the advancement of coasters these past 5 years
It’s funny how y’all would make fun of six flags cloning their rides at different parks but won’t get on Disney for tron or cedar fair. I Remember Kings dominion and Carowinds had the same clone of hurler. Just help me understand lol
8:10 Daft Punk didn't score Tron. They only scored the second movie Tron Legacy. Tbh it sounds like you don't even know there are two movies... Even worse than with your Vlogs. You have time to put research into this...
I am well aware there are two movies. I was referring to the second movie with that statement, I am sorry I was not more clear. I promise I do my research before very video. But like everyone else, i’m still human and make mistakes. I’m sorry it isn’t good enough for you.

Bad taste
They should really just have the modified seating on every train.
