    Can’t easily access frets above the 12th fret on the mandolin can you?

    I'm thinking call it an Octave 5 rather than Mandolin

      Guy! Long time no see! It has a 14” scale (mandolin) which is shorter than both a mandola and an octave mandolin. So it kind of is really a non-dual chorused mandolin with an added low C. I do think octave 5 sounds cool, but it would make me a liar! lol.

      @@Hamm-toneGuitars Jeremy, my suggestion was more on the lines of a twist on the "Octave 12" guitar (with only 5 strings) with no mention of mandolin, but of course you built it so call it whatever you wish. Cheers!
