- This is a pretty neat piece of work. One piece at a time. The guitar side trim rings and covers were made by my friend Randy with the help of his machinist friend. #hammtone #luthier #gibson #boutiqueguitars #bigsbyguitar #doubleneck #electricmandolin #pegcitypickups #beardsellguitars #bigsbyguitars

Wow! I’ve never seen a Mano/6 String before😮
i love the bizzare and impractical. i love bigsbys. well done! paul would be proud! haters go to hell
Can’t easily access frets above the 12th fret on the mandolin can you?
Pretty reasonable actually
I'm thinking call it an Octave 5 rather than Mandolin
Guy! Long time no see! It has a 14” scale (mandolin) which is shorter than both a mandola and an octave mandolin. So it kind of is really a non-dual chorused mandolin with an added low C. I do think octave 5 sounds cool, but it would make me a liar! lol.
@@Hamm-toneGuitars Jeremy, my suggestion was more on the lines of a twist on the "Octave 12" guitar (with only 5 strings) with no mention of mandolin, but of course you built it so call it whatever you wish. Cheers!
