JJ the greatest defender of all time no arguments
Limerick man here, having 7 from Limerick, before the final on Sunday, not bad at all.
Limerick Abu 🏆 🇮🇪
Might only have 4 or 5 after Sunday 😂
Talking about Taggy Fogarty while leaving Cian Lynch to the side might be the most frustrating podcasting I've ever seen 😂
No Mick Fennelly?
if you match up the Kilkenny defenders against the current Limerick forwards and visa versa you would nearly have to go with Byrnes and Hayes in the half back line and only 2 forwards from Kilkenny to made the cut in my book would be Henry and Eddie Brennan
Ridiculous only 5 kk sh come on or 4 players
Limerick are are a brilliant team but the kilkenny the fantastic Kilkenny team of the 2000's should not be forgotten ,with hurlers like Richie hogan and Richie power, jj delaney ,eoin larkin ,noel hickey and Tommy walsh ,eddie Brennan, Michael rice Derek lyng ,tj reid and Henry just to name a few
If Limerick win Sunday there will be a few more from Limerick
Should be there anyway even before Sunday, simple reason is the competition that is there now in Munster wasn't there in 06-09, no team apart from tipp the odd year put that KK team to the pin of their collar the same way every team throws every sink in their county at Limerick now, no comparison in my opinion apart from Henry and a couple more
@paulholmes3366 if any of the other munster teams were any good in 2018 -2023 they'd be challenging for all irelands but Waterford and Cork both were beaten after 25 mins.
@@paulholmes3366 I don't disagree with you, but for those who still say the 06 09 kk team is better, it will quiten them some what if Limerick win, but if Limerick lose , the kk lads will be crowing about the 06 09 team even more , so Limerick to be great and be the greatest they must win on Sunday
@@ShaymusOL yes because Limerick had killed their chance earlier in the championship in Munster, every single team goes all guns blazing the first chance they get at Limerick, big mistake I'm afraid as the season goes on they improve so much from game to game, just look at Clare this year prime example, their chance was toast after the Munster final all be it they beat Dublin but they never stood a chance after Munster
Team is mostly spot on lads, I’d just switch Henry back to 14 and bring in Lynch intend of Flanagan
Not sure if you should bring in a players injured it should be how good he actually is if he hurled at all withing those years . Lynch hard done by
Who in munster was any good back then aside from tipp every third or fourth year, lets be honest now no one had anything for KK back then, the only way to beat them back then was if they didnt show up
Kilkenny beat the best team in Munster in 06, 08 and 09 finals, beating a team aiming for 3 in a row, then the best Waterford team in 60 years, then a Tipp team who was full of stars. The Limerick team of 2007 was the weakest of the 4 arguably.
@@ShaymusOL tipp team full of stars, when did tipp ever put two back to back in the last 20 odd years, full of stars my arse, Limerick weren't the weakest either that KK were filthy dirty, dirtier than this Limerick team that everyone hates, for the simple reason their so good, not dirty, strong and physical yes and well able to hold their own, pity they didn't get to face off against eachother we'd see who would be the weakest then, I'm pretty confident Limerick are the better team by a stretch at that
@@paulholmes3366 Better by a big stretch at that, KK filth wouldn't work with Limerick, they would be blown away and outhurled
@paulholmes3366 we will agree to disagree. That Limerick team were poor, the poorest of all 4 munster teams beaten. Bar Shaughnessy none would be generational players. You speak about dirty play but no one in that Kilkenny team was as dirty as Hegarty. Every team pushes the envelope and the best teams tend to be the physical. I think this Limerick team would struggle like they have vs Tipp and Galway and Kilkenny would smother any second half revival.
@@ShaymusOL you really are a bit delusional if you ask me, hegarty is a big strong physical player that wouldn't get a free if he paid for one, that's not dirt that he's able to shake off 3 or 4 lads, Tommy Walsh was filthy dirty, Brian Hogan was dirty, Eddie Brennan was filthy dirty, and as for that Limerick team in 07 Seamus hickey won young hurler of the year, Brian Murray wasn't far from an all star, I played hurling with Seamus hickey and all in my club seen what Eddie Brennan done to him, you wouldn't have seen he same damage on a rugby player, come down out of the clouds this Limerick team would out muscle, out hurl and most importantly probably hammer them on numerous occasions, your stuck in the past your a dreamer cause the game that this Limerick team play now is 10 times more physical, 10 times faster and also there's far more competition in the country against Limerick, also most Munster teams now would also run riot against that KK team
Ah lads Larkin in corner or full forward and Tom morrissey on the wing
Another 4 years and JJ will be the only Kilkennyman guaranteed his place on this team.
Shefflin definitely deserves it and Eddie Brennan I would say
Come on lads what about Barry Nash
Lynch
Too close to call. I'd say Limerick will only be slightly ahead in the dying minutes but will win by 8 or 10 pts all of a sudden
If john kiely had them all in his panel no way he would drop byrnes, hayes or lynch.
No. but Kiely would also pick JJ, Tommy and Shefflin as well.
@@ShaymusOL jj and shefflin certainly. Where would tommy play? 4 is the only place i could imagine him getting in.
@@hughwalsh8914 ah stop he'd play anywhere. I'd start him in goal if needs be.
@@ShaymusOL if he was from limerick he’d be putting in 10 good minutes at the end of games 😂
@@ShaymusOL I'm afraid your away with the birds, smallest man you could think of over Byrne's and Hayes or any Limerick player to be honest, he'd nearly agree with us himself he wouldn't stand a chance
Cody or Kiely?
atm Cody but Kiely is rapidly rising up the rankings
so far John Kieley has won
5 All Irelands
5 Munsters
3 Leagues
that's 13 combined Titles
Cody Won
11 All Irelands
18 Leinsters
10 League Titles
That's 39 Combined Titles
Nash ahead of tyrell every day
Lads, Limerick are too big, fast and physical for that KK team, plus they don't have a procession to an AI semi final every year.
Limerick by 10 points over the KK team of that era
I disagree limerick backs wouldn't be able to live with the the speed and skill of eoin larkin, Henry Richie hogan ,Richie power eddie Brennan, tj reid ,cha fitzpatrick just to name a few
You have a short memory, limerick by 10 points😁😁😁
@@davidbrennan3613 no short memory at all, but an understanding that hurling has evolved.
Limerick would go through ye like a dose of salts
@@MrThebigredone that's what you would like to think,we will sort ye out next sunday like we did in 2019
@@davidbrennan3613 lol, we'll see
