Clean sweep of titles for this great Limerick team again un real they are
KK had 8 players that started each of the 4 finals between '06-'09.
Limk had 11 players that started each of the finals in 2020-2023.
If LK can win amother in the next three years or so it will be phenomenal....well it already is ....wonderful points in 2nd half , and so many when under some pressure ....never saw the like .
Any thoughts of limericks camera in the rte gantry showing an aerial view of the puckouts ?? Davy fitz seemed shocked when he found out Sunday on the radio
KK's 4-in-a-row used 22 different starters.
Limk's 4-in-a-row used 18 different starters. Limk's 4-in-a-row also had 2 starts each for Graeme Mulcahy & Peter Casey who was then replaced by Casey & Mulcahy.
Limerick are an outstanding team but no way would that Limerick team stand up against that Kilkenny team from 08 to 14
@@davidbrennan3613 you're entitled to your opinion. Mine is the polar opposite. The current Limk team would beat that KK team very handily. The champions in 5yrs time would beat this current Limk side & whoever are champions in 10yrs would beat them currently. But it's a moot point as they'll never play each other. It amazes me that so many KK are gleefully living in the past & are so determined to aver that hurling peaked almost a decade ago. What's so bad about appreciating what is current & anticipating the future?
KK folks want to consistently drag us all back to the past. That KK team will never play another championship game nevermind win another title.
There are plenty more games & possibly titles in the current Limk side.
If you want to live in the past you can do so as I think you'll like it. It's full of KK folks.

Noughties Kilkenny team far superior. Off the top off my head you would probably fit 11/12 of those players in the top 20 off all time and the supporting cast in the top 50. Would have won five in a row only for Shefflins injury in the 10 final.
I’m saying that. This Limerick team would beat them. The advances in strength and conditioning and coaching means that this Limerick side would have the edge. Probably the best coached team of all time but not the best individual players of all time.

This is the same Limerick team about same 11,12 players on first team and another few on the bench and this same team have won 5 in basically 5 years, same team, they'll make history by winning 5 in a row, and Kilkenny when they won it, had no challenge in leinster, still don't, so they were free of injuries and Fresh every time, in munster its an absolute beast of a championship to come out of, its a challenge just to get out of it, bat Galway KK can play their second team!
This Limetick team haven't had their best 15 in all irelands for last two years, missing their captain, their best player, and best corner back in the country.
For me this Limerick team is the best I've seen already, win it again in July, and their is no debate,
