@Jayne Eyre this is so stupid. you do remember that balls are nothing more than two extremely delicate kiwis that annoyingly dangle between your legs right? tell me, why are they a symbol of strength when a light tap is enough to practically cripple most men? or the fact that just sitting on them wrong can be extremely painful? the whole fucking reason why people bother comparing it to childbirth? you need to grow up for fucks sake there's more to life than pretending to be some hardass. if you expect people to never get ptsd or even have feelings then you are expecting a robot not a human.
@Jayne Eyre I hope you're not one of the ball-less protestors who needed to hide behind guns as they got all upset because of not being able to get a haircut for a few weeks, but betting you are or at least supported them
American police have been much more violent. As well most of what we hear about Hong Kong is from America and the U.K. Could you imagine if China was interfering with America the same way. I also haven't seen China kill a million Iraqis. Kinda crazy the double standards we have. It's like someone is controlling the message.

Minneapolis is my home. For over a week, I have watched as my home burns and my neighbors are gassed and shot for protesting peacefully. I've watched news anchors get shot and arrested. I've watched peaceful protests get hijacked by neo-nazi arsonists. I have friends who joined the national guard to pay for school and protect their families from terrorism. Now those friends are forced to point weapons at those same family members. And all this is happening during a massively deadly virus. I'm angry, I'm hurt, I'm afraid. But mostly, I'm just feeling broken hearted. I love my community. I love my city, and seeing it like this hurts more than I could ever say.
This is the first time in my almost 52 years that the content of a talk show brought tears to my eyes. Try to stay safe America. Canada loves you all, well all but a select few. You know who you are. A Trudeau at a loss for words for 21 seconds that I never thought I would ever see.
The loyal support and good will of of our greatest allies, the Canadian People, has long been deeply appreciated by the American People. No leader may diminish the unity of our people. Our apologies for Trump.
Yes, your PM and his loss for words broke me. He’s just an amazing person. You’re lucky to have a leader in him. Thank you for your support. America sees you! 💕💙🥰
You are loved, Canadians. When we finally emerge from this darkness, remember that he was not elected by a majority, nor did he ever come near to having a majority on his side, Most of us Americans are who we always were. We hate fascism with all our freedom-loving hearts. Love to the north!

Quick note from a fellow protester regarding covid: I've see a lot of comments from people saying "what happened to caring about coronavirus?" This isn't like wanting to go to the beach or a sports game or even to work. No one in these BLM protests is downplaying the dangers of coronavirus, every single person there has had to weigh up the risks and ultimately made the decision to protest because this is a unique moment, this is our chance to make the most of the fact that police brutality and systemic racism is on everyone's minds and that everyone's talking about it. This is our chance to raise awareness and bring about real, lasting change. That's what makes it completely different from other groups who want to gather despite coronavirus. There's no real comparison.
This is one of the things that keeps me from joining any protests. I'm old. Not only is the virus a problem, but I'm no longer physically capable of getting out of the way if I need to because someone decides to act like idiots and cause trouble.
Even people who aren't able to physically join should do their best to support in every way they can, whether it be donating supplies, money, etc. We gotta stand up to this bullshit going on, it's been going on way too long.
People are restricting themselves to only engage in necessary travel. Attending these protests is absolutely necessary. Also note how most of the protesters are wearing masks to cover their noses and mouths.
@John Duke generally the popular vote within the states determines the distribution of electoral votes. Many states require it and a couple split it by results. Additional states have been going this route as well. Also the electors that you're referring to in 2016 were in doing so in protest instead of voting for Trump. (They voted for others because it wasn't a partisan protest, nor did it change the outcome of the election.

@@lisahamel4538 ah ok, thanks for some great info there :) So the protests have REALLY spread everywhere!!!!! although before saying "everywhere" would that area be democrat or republican voting? Have the protests spread into areas rural enough to be republican voting areas? btw I'm in Australia, so what you're saying makes sense to me, I'm thinking sort of like how our old coal producing towns on Newcastle & Wollongong have sort of been incorporated into Sydney's growth & urban sprawl & black lives matter protests have spread to those areas in Australia too, although in Australia it's more understandable, since our protests have been inspired by & support the American situation BUT they are also focused on our own Aboriginal deaths in custody issues & Aboriginal people have also been pushed out into those more distant areas of the city where housing is cheaper, or where they weren't originally killed off in such high numbers in the smallpox slaughter of them 230 years ago & so have always survived & not been drowned out by increasing white population noise, so it's not that surprising how many small town here are seeing big protests, but America I'm curious about, because the more rural areas tend to be republican voting & republican voters don't tend to be so supportive of black lives do they

Adelaide, South Australia tomorrow cleared by my boss the police commissioner. People can protest so long as they maintain 1.5m and he says hopes everyone will maintain that and be peaceful. This is after our PM said no to protests due to COVID-19 (remember we're in winter now), and NSW govt and police have refused consent for protest that they successfully had upheld in the NSW supreme court today. Things are probably going to calm down a little. It was still daylight outside. But yeah, Houston cowboys are pretty awesome. Despite the police, I love my town.
A retired Detroit cop I know looks at all this and he said to me, "When you go out expecting a riot - you're likely to get one. When you get geared up in riot gear, it tells you subconsciously that you are heading into real danger - especially the young cops. So now they are on edge with their adrenaline pumping, and then protesters see them advancing like an occupying army and they get scared, angry, and on edge with their adrenaline up - and now you have a powder keg that can easily be set off by either side."
It's an exploded view of the exact thing they are protesting. A black man is afraid, adrenaline up, on edge. A cop (seeing the man is black and assuming he is dangerous or devious) is afraid, adrenaline up, on edge. One. Single. Move. on either side and it's all over but the crying (and protests and riots.)

Complete domination over citizens who are exercising their right to grievance.
The most touching protests are the ones from all over the world- new Zealand, Canada, London, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Italy, France, Japan, Norway, the Netherlands, and still rising. Just awesome

Okay, actually watched the rest of the video. Here are some constructive critiques...1) Jokes are funny, weird red stamp after doesn't make sense and the voice effect is cringey 2) Some of the videos of police firing were edited strangely, I have seen the full clips of most of these and don't understand your choices. The police firing on the car is much more impactful when you realize the man is yelling that his pregnant girlfriend is in the car, they hear him, they pause, then they fire even more. Why cut the clip RIGHT before he makes that comment???
“I asked him for his resignation letter and I felt great about it” No you didn’t but you sure can misinform a few hundred million twitter users who believe your every word...
Be scared either way, he has no intention of leaving and will claim the election was rigged if he loses. That's if we even have an election, Dotard will most likely try and "Postpone" it.
If people would vote like they protested, Trump would have no chance of getting reelected. Protestors should exercise their right to vote in order to bring change. The same energy and passion they used to protest should be used at the polls. If Trump gets back in the WH because they didn't vote it is their fault.
To be fair though, while that was an obvious stupid comment, it's possible he does know that a diabetic emergency requires sugar NOT insulin & that giving insulin if her blood sugar is dropping will instantly kill her, so she was actually playing up her diabetes for the camera. If she'd said her blood sugar was dropping from the stress & she needed the sugar she had in her diabetes kit for an emergency like this, that would be a different story & a VERY possible diabetic emergency that could occur when put under stress like that
If he knows what it is and how by robbing the patient her insulin he put her in life threatening danger, wouldn't that be qualified as a murderous intent?
@@steviesteveo1 come on, it's BASIC first aid knowledge that all police in my country are taught & have reinforced to them over & over again. There's been too many cases where black people in particular have died here in custody, because they've been arrested for being "drunk & disorderly" when they're actually diabetic (both can look the same), so yes, it is quite reasonable to think that even if he doesn't know what it's called, he could easily know "anyone who says they're diabetic & who looks sick or drunk, give them sugar, NEVER give them insulin! If they don't get better after the sugar, call an ambulance". That's the dumbed down first aid management, designed for those to stupid to even know how to say it's name! "if you arrest someone for being drunk, but they say anything about diabetes, give them a cup of orange juice, just in case. DO NOT give injections!"
Fact check: insulin is used to lower blood sugar and giving it to someone who says that her sugar is low could be leathal. High blood sugar is not good for their health, low is an emergency.
Johnny Cash 100% would have been in these protest marches. "I'd be happy walking any street/But all God's children ain't free I'd have a smile for all I meet/But all God's children ain't free"- from "All of God's Children Ain't Free"

@@WildFyreful Solution?
Never stop recording the police
He is dead right. And psychological science agrees with him.

What I don't understand is why we can't train them better. Probably cost. While I don't expect local cops to be Navy SEALS, I was shocked to read a few years ago that a FEW police departments were having some success reducing police violence with some SEAL training methods. What most people DON'T know about SEALS may be the most impressive thing about them - they are as good at NOT harming people they should not as they are at harming the ones they should. They have very specific training methods to accomplish that.

@@pdoylemi pat, sadly, it will take MUCH more than that. for example, since the 1990s, the federal government has been sending out 'surplus' military equipment* to every police force nationwide, from nyc to tinytown, usa. bulletproof vests. military grade weapons. armored vehicles. TANKS. and much, MUCH more.
(*dig just a little bit into that phrase 'surplus military equipment', and you'll find some seriously disturbing facts- all this BAZILLIONS of $$$ worth of weaponery and equipment is made by contractors who are in bed with the federal government.)
anyway, moving on. look at the police in other democracies. the uniforms and body gear, the cars they drive, the markings on those cars, even the sound of the sirens. then look at the same in the usa back before the 1990s. in a DEMOCRACY, where the police are there to 'protect and serve', they project that by their presence. look at police cars- in the uk, they are painted in bright, easily recognizab!e, non-threatening colors. in the usa, from coast to coast, they used to be distinctively black and white, with big distinctive light bars on the roof and 'protect and serve' emblazened on the car.
i was in a sleepy, artistic, upscale tiny town in the desert southwest when the police got their new cars. powerful, sleek, all-black ominous looking machines without ANY visibly outward markings or equipment to identify them as police cars. stand close enough and you noticed that very discreetly placed on the black matt body paint was a small, slightly shiny black emblem of the police department- black on black, barely visible. and no more 'protect and serve'. no more light bar on the roof. just a mean machine that is indistinguishable from any other car on the street, except for its foreboding look.

If people _really_ gave a shit about racism and life-threatening police brutality, then this would've happened the *last* time a black guy was suffocated on camera by police. Fun fact the government gives money to the tribal council of native Americans yearly they decide where the money

If she'd said her blood sugar was dropping from the stress & she needed the sugar she had in her diabetes kit for an emergency like this, that would be a different story & a VERY possible diabetic emergency that could occur when put under stress like that
