the ebike is one of the things that makes your channel different. This video on a gas bike wouldn't have made for an interesting video. Just a trip to fuel up and pick up the car. But the challenge of finding a charger that day made for a video. I'm enjoying the videos. Happy new year
Happy new years Marc. I confess this vlog was a bit of a difficult one for me. I didn't realise that Maree would even get on a bike till now?. I've rode bikes all my life. One day out of the blue my wife of 12 years decided she wanted to be a pillion. That was an amazing day that I'll never forget. Now she has her own bike but I'll never forget the days we did it together. 37 years & I'm still in love.
2:45 yes, the nav says to go there. I come from Florence and 1 year ago I picked up an Aprilia Rs 125 2 stroke near there. Imagine me doing that road on a sport bike… I was confused. Apparently that is a road.
However I cannot resist to say how much dull and dumb e-bikes are. It’s all about propaganda. No advantages for the environment and a lot of problems down the line using them

Great to follow your travels and now you 2 are off to share experiences with us.👍. Glad you got the brakes fixed. This might seem a bit...yes yes good on you, people will probably say about my comment, now that you know brake failure. But to be able to learn from it, an important piece of knowledge is to see rust on brake discs, as they should have been completely rust-free after all the braking down the mountains. Of course brake discs have surface rust, especially when it is damp. This superficial rust usually disappears after a few kilometers. In your video, brake discs were only seen for a brief moment, but they were full of rust after many 100 kilometers of driving, this often indicates that brake pads are not "touching" the discs properly, and are worn down. Some people write why they didn't check it before leaving on the tour, you just have to know that in the EU (TÜV in Germany, I think) a car is inspected every two years when the car is over 4 years old. However, these tests every 2 years can seem like everything is ok. But the truth is that even if a car passes the (TüV) test, the brakes may have worn down the week after the test. Having bad brakes in dark and foggy weather is no fun, so those who have postulated or commented about Maureen's "concern" in that section show more of their lack of insight. Charging locations and time to charge is the main reason I don't want an electric bike. But also the cost and life expectancy of them. I had a FJR1300 for 15years and recently sold it and will last another 20years if looked after 👍
