Great video. Thanks for the thorough explanation. I will be drying lumber outside (until I can build a hoop house and sheds). The hardest part will be getting the foundation level and squared up.

Thanks for the comment! The foundation is the key to flat straight boards. Take your time and get it right. You can do it!!

I have a dehumidifier in the room with my wood that is curing, I have it set to try to maintain about 45 to 50% humidity, not sure if this is good or not, after watching your video I realize that I need to have a bigger gap between the bottom row of wood and the floor.

Thanks for the comment. If you are trying to air dry your lumber, a dehumidifier is not necessary. Just air flow will be enough as long as you have makeup air. Dehumidification is a type of kiln drying. Especially if it is in a sealed room. Just be careful with a dehumidifier because that can dry your lumber faster then you want and can degrade your lumber. I would purchase a moisture meter to test and see what the moisture content is. Once you know what the moisture level is , that will tell you if you need to turn it off or leave it on. Just my 2 cents but I would air dry for short period of time and then have it kiln dried. I only pay .80 cents per bdft for this. Small price to pay to insure high quality lumber. Thanks for watching!!!
